Island Royale #1105 is an interior gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 11th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1015 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with white appliances in granite counter tops with a washer and dryer housed in separate laundry room. There are 2 full baths. The gulf-side master bathroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom with standalone shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, access to the hall bath from the bedroom, which has a shower/tub combo. November 2015 – new 48” smart TV in living room, October 2016-new smart TV in master. King, Queen and Sofa Sleeper. Sleeps 6.

Island Royale is a 16 story building with 6 units per floor located 0.8 miles west of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Island Royale has swim-thru pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna and exercise room. The property also has a grilling/picnic area. 2 car limit. You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Island Royale is a NO SMOKING facility, this includes balconies. Smoking is allowed only by the bbq area.

STAY AND PLAY

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

The condo is very clean and spacious and you can’t beat the location. I found that the master bed was very uncomfortable and I really thought for the money you pay that you should have basic necessities like a hair dryer and more than one role of toilet paper and at least a few complimentary coffees/filters. We have stayed at many units st Island Royale and they ALL have had those items. However, it was ultimately my fault for not reading the email they send you the week before check in where they reminded me to bring those “extras”.

Wonderful location, condo is in good shape, beautiful view and very comfortable furniture and beds. They have chairs, floats and sand toys with the rental. Definitely a bonus!Master bed frame is a hazard and should be addressed, someone will break a toe or foot. They should have simple accessories like a hair dryer.Only 2 elevators, over 50% of the time, only one worked. I would stay here again in hopes they could work on the elevators and bed frame.. for the amount of people that rent, I don’t believe there should be issues that last longer than a few hours.. not days.
Can’t beat the view!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was clean and we had an enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, the beds absolutely are the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on! The television are smaller than my computer screen. One elevator was completely down the majority of our trip! It caused wait times over 45 minutes attempting to check out!

Great beach front condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time using this condo but not the last. Large, clean and comfortable. Views from our balcony were amazing. Will use again on future beach trips. Office was easy to work with on payment and notices.

Not without issues

Great location, beautiful view, older but nice condo. However not without issues. Keypad for door quit working, not a big deal. Shower in 2nd bathroom would not drain. Communication was not great, and no follow up that it was completed. Giant tear in MBR sheets. Not sure how this was missed. Upon arrival there were long black hairs on the dark mat outside master bath shower, so that obviously wasn't cleaned and/or fresh. Lastly, for 600 a night, the fact that they cheap out and only give you 1 roll of TP for each bathroom and expect you to go buy more instead of just leaving a couple extras that would cost them less than a couple bucks is quite ridiculous.

Great Girls Trip

This condo was perfect for our girls trip. Everything was just as pictured. Great location, and we had a super nice security guard named Joe who was so welcoming and friendly. It was very clean and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The view from the balcony was fabulous, we saw sharks, stingrays and dolphins. The furniture is a little dated but the sofa and loveseat were still pretty comfy. The only thing I would change would be the mattresses, they weren't terrible but fairly uncomfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Time away

The condo was super clean, and a magnificent view! I stayed there with my son, daughter in law and their one year old son. It was spacious and well laid out, we had plenty of room! We were close to many restaurants that were walkable via sidewalk or beach, this was a plus for us. I would definitely stay at this unit again.

Perfect Location right on the beach

My small children loved the pool area and kitty pool! The mattresses in our room were very very hard and uncomfortable. The room wasn’t the cleanest either, there was glitter and dirt from previous stays. But with the location and amenities, would still highly recommend this place! If you want direct beach access and a nice pool, this is the place to stay! There was plenty to do near by. We really enjoyed the Hangout to eat and listen to free live music. Could be in walking distance, but not with our small children. It was a short drive and they had parking! We hope to be back in the future! They kept outside of our room very clean all the time, so that was nice and comforting. They had a very friendly security guy that made the stay very welcoming! Joe the security guy was so friendly and social with everyone!

Much needed downtime

We were able to get in the condo early, and we were super happy about that. It looked just liked the pictures. It had been 14 years since being at Gulf Shores and it was beautiful and the condo was perfect. I intend on booking next year.

You get what you pay for!

Condo is very dated and is in dire need of a refresh. Old induction stove and a really weird brown (yes, brown!) sink.. The couch is incredibly uncomfortable; sinks almost to the bottom of the frame in the middle. Strange that you have to walk all the way in to the master shower to turn the water on— nice to get spayed by cold water.BEFORE your shower. Lighting in second bedroom is positively dismal. Condo insists on listing your condo number and name on the parking pass which is supposed to be displayed at all times on your dash. Very unsafe. Beware of hidden fees. We were not informed that there would be a parking charge and we were automatically charged for two cars even though we only had one. After insistence, management did refund one pass. They were very responsive every time we reached out. The best thing about this condo is the magnificent view but we would never stay here again..

We found GSR and Harley found us Island Royale. What a beautiful building. We completely enjoyed our stay and GSR took care of us beyond our expectations. We will be returning!

The indoor/outdoor pool was clean and nice size. The condo has the most amazing view of the beach. We saw dolphins every morning. The condo is nice size and very clean. We let out the couch and it was full of crumbs so I swept it over to the entertainment center and as my broom went under I found about 4o puzzle pieces. The sofa sleeper wasn't comfortable either.

Gulf Shores Getaway

Reviewer Comments: Wonderful condo, comfortable king-size bed; kitchen very well equipped, immediate response from maintenance regarding a few issues that needed fixing. A selection of books and puzzles were available for our use. The beach was clean, 7 chairs on the balcony, plenty of shaded parking, luggage racks and carts were helpful for unloading and loading. Unit was clean and insect free. We enjoyed watching so many dolphins from our balcony as well as the parasailors . Our enjoyable dining experiences included The Sunliner Cafe, Lauria’s and Surfside Pizza. The only negative was the traffic congestion on Route 59. All things considered, this was a great find.
