3 Bedroom Home on Horse Farm: Private Pool, Playa Avellanas

Casa Sol y Luna is a recently renovated three bedroom home with a private pool, set on a working equestrian estate in rural Guanacaste. The house was built with hemp walls, which keep it naturally cool, and it opens onto a large wooden terrace with a hammock, dining table and hanging chair.

THE ESTATE
The home sits on a 5 hectare (12.4 acre) equestrian estate within a 30 hectare organic farm, with a caretaker on site 24 hours a day and night security. Guests receive seasonal fruit from the farm.

• Riding lessons in our enclosed arena, beach rides and mountain trails, arranged on request and booked separately from your stay

THE LOCATION
Playa Lagartillo is within walking distance. Playa Avellanas is a 10 to 15 minute walk or 5 minutes by car, and the world class surf at Playa Negra is about 7 minutes. Tamarindo, the main town for restaurants and activities, is 25 minutes. Liberia International Airport is an hour and a half.

We are beautifully placed but genuinely rural, which is much of the appeal. Taxis are scarce here, so we recommend renting a car.
