Amazing location

This was one of the most beautiful vacation rental house that we ever been at. The house sits on top of a hill overlooking an outstanding view on the sea. The host is living on site and was very helpful . Totally recommend for a family vacation.

Great place. Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay

Beautiful home. Fabrice was a wonderful host, very attentive, always available and great communicative. The road it get there was a bit of a challenge, but well worth it.

Amazing views!

The house was very spacious with amazing views. The host was friendly, very accommodating and helpful. The view from the pool was better in person.

A slice of heaven

We couldn't have found a more perfect spot to get away from our busy lives and recharge. Fabrice and Miho are gracious hosts who have thought through everything - from detailed directions to the house, to great recommendations for local food and activities, to binoculars for spotting birds and monkeys. Every day was spent swimming and exploring and every night was spent stargazing underneath the most expansive star-filled sky we have ever seen. We cannot recommend Hacienda Isabella highly enough!

Gorgeous views, and Amazing house!

We had a GREAT time! The house was amazing, super spacious, clean, great views, great sunsets, location is super private there is nothing around it :-) . It was pretty insane! :-) We loved it. The beach is 20 minutes exactly, Playa Negra. We arrived easily, is far away, but the directions are pretty straight forward. :-) Overall, the house is very impressive, new and super nice. I personally would like to be closer to the beach. I appreciate your patience and great customer service. Daniela F. :-)

An exceptional property with exceptional hosts!

My husband and I stayed with our three kids (14, 13 and 9) at this beautiful and expansive property. We were thrilled to find that it was built on several acres of Costa Rican jungle which we explored on a couple of occasions. The pictures are very accurate, with each space offering more than enough room for our family (and the five friends that joined us for a portion of our stay). The pool area was tended to each day by the staff which was lovely as we enjoyed many hours by the pool. The hosts, Fabrice and Miho, stayed at a separate small house on the property and were readily available for anything we needed. Their warm hospitality was very much appreciated. While it did not bother us in the least, this property is a 15 minute drive from the nearest beaches and Paraiso (a lovely little town with many great restaurants) on rough, steep, dirt roads. Without 4x4 you would not likely get up the hill.

All around perfect!

We had the privilege of staying at Hacienda Isabella for 5 days in early April. The house is set atop a seemingly private, unpaved road that offer breathtaking views of the ocean. We had everything that was needed for a fabulous stay. The house is well stocked with linens (including pool towels), kitchen wares and has a modern laundry room. The large lanai is well covered and the deep pool stays cool in the HOT sun. There are plenty of chairs for lounging and taking in the reds, oranges and yellows of the sunset, making for a perfect family photo...of which we took many! We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful home. Thank you for helping to make our family vacation such a memorable trip! Warm regards, Allan and Jennifer Reyes

Amazing stay at Hacienda Isabella!

It is our second time in this wonderful villa and once again, we absolutely loved it. Fabrice, the owner, is really nice and helpful and will make you feel welcomed and at home in no time. The villa is only a short drive away from really nice beaches or you can stay at home and enjoy the beautiful pool, which is always fresh and clean. Bottom line : BOOK YOUR STAY AT HACIENDA ISABELLA! You won't regret it :)

Everything you could want

Quite often when you arrive at a holiday location it fails to live up to expectation. Hacienda Isabella is the opposite of that and exceeds expectations in every way. It was our first time in Costa Rica and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. This truly is an exceptional location, and most definitely off the road less travelled. If you want seclusion but to be somewhere that is within easy reach of a whole host of activities then this beautiful haven is ideal - but 4WD vehicles are a must! You could never leave the house, and fabulous swimming pool, and have an excellent stay, but this being Costa Rica there is so much to do whether it is zip lining, horse riding, visits to the volcano or strolls along beautiful beaches. And as for the sunsets they have to be seen to be believed. Fabrice and Miho are excellent hosts and were able to help us with everything from a flat car battery to organising unforgettable days out. We cannot recommend this location highly enough. You are guaranteed an unforgettable holiday.

Fantastic Stay at Hacienda Isabella

Hacienda Isabella is an awesome place to stay. The house is vast and comfortable and the pool is great. Just walking around the property allowed us to experience the rich variety of plants and animals we were expecting to see in Costa Rica. Fabrice and his crew are very easy-going, discreet, and accommodating. Although secluded, the property was easy to get to and close enough to local restaurants, stores, and beaches. As we had hoped, the sunsets were amazing. This is the way to truly experience and enjoy Costa Rica! Gilles Martin Orlando, Florida

Magical

The house was perfect for what we needed - big enough to give two families lots of space, a great kitchen for cooking, a pool for the kids and fabulous views. It is removed from crowds and exceptionally tranquil. It allowed us to pace our two-week holiday perfectly - a mix of days driving to beautiful nearby beaches for wave hopping and surfing, outings to Rincon De Las Viejas and Nosara, paddle boarding in Junquillal Estuary, and just relaxing by the pool and doing yoga at Hacienda Isabella. Fabrice provided a Costa Rican cell phone, which was perfect when we were on the road or for organizing day trips. Note that the road up the house is steep and many of the local roads to get the best beaches are not in the best of the shape. Make sure to rent a 4X4!

We'll Be BACK!

How do you describe perfection? Eight days at Hacienda Isabella over Thanksgiving week, with 4 adults (parents and a set of grandparents) and 4 kiddoes (aged 5 to 14), well, life just doesn't get any better. A beautifully appointed and well-arranged, spacious house on a glorious hilltop overlooking the wide Pacific at Playa Junquillal, surrounded by nature as only Costa Rica presents it . . . we are already anxious to return! If you're reading this, you've probably already seen the photos and videoed walk-through of the premises via HomeAway's VRBO site. You've seen the invitingly lit infinity pool for 24-hour swims and the in-place computer with Wi-Fi features, sound system, and cell phone. You've taken note of the many comfy bedrooms and luxurious baths, the beautifully furnished living areas, indoors and out. But what you don't see is the lovely drive and welcoming front parking area, punctuated with rich plantings and colorful Guanacaste parrots, which surround this secluded house. You barely gain a glimpse of the tasteful outdoor water features, softly adding their music to the brief baritone serenades, at dawn and dusk, from the not-too-distant troop of howler monkeys, nor can you truly appreciate the luxurious comfort of the plentiful seating, inside and out-of-doors, that all offer "million dollar" views of teak-rich jungle, gradually sloping downwards to the vast Pacific Ocean. Indoors, wide floors are of pristine tile and local teak, as appropriate. The kitchen and baths are fully supplied with every amenity, all appliances are new and in place (stainless side-by-side fridge and range, coffee-maker, microwave, slow-cooker, blender, also cookware and utensils and dishes galore --- everything from the full-size washer and dryer to the hair dryers in each bathroom), each item of top quality. Daily housekeeping service is, of course, provided. There are even thick beach towels and various-sized surfboards provided for guests' use. For any sort of gathering, for honeymooners, for families and good friends, Hacienda Isabella really does make everyone welcome. It provides quick, convenient access to pristine beaches and various eateries, while the ziplines, bicycle tours, and horseback riding at Canopy Pura Aventura is a mere 10-15 minutes' drive from the house. Tamarindo is likewise quite close (about 30 minutes' drive), so whether you have just a few days or plan a much longer stay, Hacienda Isabella is Where You Want To Be!

Better than what we could have imagined!

Hacienda Isabella is a sanctuary. Apart from the house itself, the location is a wonder. We have been coming to Costa Rica for 20 years and this place is the one where we experienced the best the country has to offer. If silence and space are the true modern luxury then Hacienda Isabella is the ultimate luxury get away. One has to experience the view while seating by the pool or swimming in it and listen to the jungle.That can't be described! The house itself offers everything we could ask for from modern comfort to large open space and privacy. It is a great family vacation place that is hard to get out of! Our 2 daughters, 9 & 3 years old would have a hard time leaving the pool or not watching the monkeys playing in the trees. Once out of the house, some breathtaking beaches offering great waves or swimming conditions are within a 10 minute drive. Several good restaurants and plenty activities are available in the area which makes the whole experience perfect. Just ask Fabrice and Milo what is their suggestion of the day, they are great hosts, super friendly with a very good knowledge of the area. Can't wait to be back!

Better than in the photos :)

We loved this place. We were blown away by how beautiful, spacious and well appointed the house was even after seeing all the photos and videos. The high ceilings, large bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas, modern design, excellent amenities, the large lanai and pool all exceeded our expectations. The hosts Fabrice and Miho were just up the road and were wonderful, we got fresh baked bread delivered on request and a housekeeper cleaned up for us, a nice touch. You do need a 4 wheel drive to get here but the location and view are totally worth the drive. We have traveled to many places around the world and this setting with the view and tranquility here are unmatched. All you see is jungle and ocean and all you hear is birds and monkeys. Many beautiful beaches in the area, we went to Mirabella a few times as well as Nosara, which we would recommend. Tamarindo has a good supermarket but we would otherwise avoid it, there are many nicer beaches. Fabrice recommended many good activities and we found many great, uncrowded surf breaks (in July). Don't miss a dinner at the excellent french restaurant. We will be back, thanks for everything!

High times during the "low" season!

Hacienda Isabella exceeded our expectations. The accommodation, surrounding area, and atmosphere were even better in person than what is displayed and described in the listing. The home is modern with beautiful architecture, and in excellent condition. The location is priceless, a surrounding nature with beauty that man could not construct. The ocean view and sunsets never got boring. I wanted to exhale each time I sat out on the terrace with my cup of coffee. The available staff were perfect. We did not need to concern ourselves with preparing food because cook Miho made the most excellent meals. We appreciated having the owner Fabrice nearby. He was only present when we needed him. He was available to chauffer us to the best beaches, activities and restaurants. We acclimated nicely with Fabrice’s guidance and were able to take full advantage of the area without wasting any time. He recommended the best French Restaurant. The food was amazing. It was upscale yet incognito, located in the middle of the jungle. We were eating this amazing food in the middle of nowhere. My wife enjoys little walks after each meal. We took some trails on the property and saw monkeys, parrots, butterflies, & possums. We actually traveled during the low season. There was nothing “low” about it. There was a little rain for a few hours some of the days, but there was always sunshine. It was a nice balance and kept things from getting too hot. My Wife & I recommend this oasis of relaxation. Amazing

A group of friends and I stayed over for a week at this luxury home and it was an amazing experience. The house was in mint condition and the rooms were very spacious. The house is located on the hills which provides a very nice view of the ocean that is a few miles away. The infinity pool / patio and living room area were in my opinion the best features of this house as it provided an excellent way to unwind and to enjoy your stay. Also the owner lives down the road and provided assistance with all of our requests. I definitely recommend this home for anyone wanting to vacation in Costa Rica. I would come back again.

Just perfect !!!

We had an amazing time !! We were 12 in total and the house was just perfect , clean, comfortable ,quiet .. Easy to get to and everything was just like they describe .. Had tours booked but I would'f liked to stayed and enjoy the house a little more .. Had the sushi dinner at home and it was delicious !! Fabrice was more than helpful and was there to answer any question that we had .. I would recommend this rental to anyone that would like to see nature at its best while staying in a luxurious home
