Tucked between two quiet coves on the private side of Lake Anna, Carlisle at Sawmill Coves is a secluded 4BR waterfront retreat surrounded by woods and natural shoreline. Enjoy calm water, a private dock and boat launch, kayaks, canoes, a waterfront gazebo, firepit, and wraparound deck. A family gathering place since the early 1980s, Carlisle was made for slow mornings, long lake days, and evenings by the fire. Bring your boat, bring the family, and enjoy lake life.

Carlisle is located on the private side of Lake Anna, often called the warm side. The public and private sides are not connected by boat, so watercraft launched from the property remain on the private side.
Other things to note
A quieter side of Lake Anna: Carlisle sits near the end of a wooded peninsula between two protected coves. Its location means calmer surroundings and less passing boat traffic than many more exposed areas of the lake.
Bring your boat: The private boat ramp allows many guests to launch directly from the property. Boats up to approximately 30 feet may be accommodated depending on the boat, trailer and current water level.
Lake conditions: Lake levels and water depth naturally fluctuate. Dock and boat-launch conditions can vary throughout the year.
A little history: Before Lake Anna filled the surrounding landscape, an old sawmill stood near what is now the property. Carlisle has been a family lake retreat since the early 1980s, and traces of the old logging roads can still be found winding through the woods today.
Carlisle at Sawmill Coves is located in Bumpass, Virginia, on the private side of Lake Anna.
You'll feel tucked away once you arrive, surrounded by woods, wildlife and quiet waterfront homes, while still being within driving distance of Lake Anna restaurants, groceries and local attractions.
Lake Anna State Park and destinations on the public side of the lake can also be reached by car.
A vehicle is recommended for exploring Lake Anna and the surrounding area.
At the house, getting around is considerably more fun: launch a kayak or canoe from the property, or bring your own boat and use Carlisle's private ramp to explore the coves and waters of Lake Anna's private side.
