Aspen Riverhouse-Riverfront Family Vacation

The ASPEN RIVERHOUSE is situated in the heart of the Roaring Fork valley and convenient to Aspen and Snowmass. This affordable, comfortable family-oriented home on two private, sunny, riverfront acres, features mountain vistas and direct riverfront access. Abundant lawn with path to the river which babbles year-round!

Only ten minutes to Snowmass, Buttermilk, Highlands and Aspen Ski Resorts and 3 miles to Aspen Airport (served by major airlines). You are also just a short drive to White River National Forest for mountain hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and four wheeling trails.

You can fish all year long just out your back door on the Roaring Fork River, a 'Gold Medal' trout stream. Enjoy river rafting from your backyard or just lounging by the river. An eight person hot-tub on the sundeck overlooks the river and also affords mountain and river views. A separate secluded riverside screened porch with hammock and porch swing doubles as a restful meditation area.

The home also features a large natural stone fireplace with sunken conversation area, dining room seating for up to ten, skylights that brighten the full kitchen which includes utensils and all appliances, vaulted ceilings throughout. Linen and towels are provided.

Lower level includes recreation room with billiards table, home theater w/Apple TV and wet bar/fridge adjacent to 2BR, 2Baths.

Experienced offsite caretakers provide snow shoveling, emergency maintenance, hot-tub care, etc. Riverhouse has a lovely, landscaped yard, a paved roadway and private onsite parking. It is located one block downhill from the shuttle route serving Aspen and all ski areas.

Quiet and tranquil yet just minutes from the shopping, restaurants, and night scene of incomparable Aspen.

Our weeklong stay was wonderful and the location perfect for what was planned, fishing/touring/biking//hiking/shopping/relaxing. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen and dining area as well as a large deck and windows for viewing the mountains and wildlife. The large hot tub was a great way to relax day or night and the bonfire was so relaxing with the river nearby. We had a great Colorado vacation!

Very well appointed home in great location to all mountains and airport. Lots of great space and good size bedrooms. Dated decor but very clean and the host was great!

Riverhouse in June

Beautiful location on the river, located in a great place relative to exploring, lots of room to spread out and great spaces to hang out together. We loved the outdoor patio and being down by the river. Perfect for our family reunion!

Great Ski House

This was a very clean, well decorated house that was perfect for our group. The kitchen is well stocked. The house is located 1.8 miles from the Brush Creek Park & Ride which gives you free transportation to all of the Aspen ski slopes. We would definitely stay here again.

An amazing get-away right by the mountains!

We had an amazing stay! The house was wonderful for our families with multiple kids and we were happy to find some board games and toys for the kids! The location was perfect - less than 15 minute drive to Snowmass for skiing. The kitchen was very well-equipped and it was so nice to be able to have family-style dinners every night. We would love to come back and see the house again in summer, or for another ski trip in the future! I would highly recommend this property for groups or families. Great value for money.

Excellent vacation home

I rented this home for a family ski trip and it is exactly as advertised and fit our needs perfectly. The location couldn’t be better! 15 minutes to Aspen, 10 minutes to Snowmass Village, and <10 minutes to the airport puts this house in the perfect place. Do not hesitate to stay here, it’s a great place to gather!! We look forward to renting it again.

Great location to skiing

We stayed at the Riverhouse home for our Spring break week and couldn't have asked for a better place for our family. The layout of the home was perfect for multiple families. There are plenty of bathrooms and the downstairs space with a pool table and TV area was great for the teens. The kitchen is well stocked with small appliances as well as spices and condiments. It was an easy drive to skiing and into town for dinner.

Great location for the entire family

The home was perfect for us. Many different areas that you could relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. A big plus that the bedrooms each had their own bathroom! The hot tub, a HUGE bonus after a long day of skiing or flyfishing. We had some fun pool championships and enjoyed keeping up with March Madness on the two large TV's. The home is very quiet and located very conveniently to public transportation. We cooked all but 1 meal at the house, which was fully supplied for all of our needs. Would certainly come back again!

Warm, Cozy, Great Location

My wife and I, aged 70, spent a week fly fishing, hiking and leaf-peeping and dining in the Roaring Fork Valley. The house is spacious, very comfortable with mesmerizing deck views. Fully appointed kitchen. Family areas included large screen TV's and pool table. Great house, easy and effective communications with rep and owners. We will return.

Perfect Winter Family Vacation

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It was perfect for a family ski vacation. We had 9 or10 people (kids and adults) most nights and there was plenty of room for everyone. We primarily skied at Snowmass, a short 15 minute drive away, even in the snow (which we got a lot of while we were there!). We ate most of our meals at the house - which worked out well. We also enjoyed the hot tub for apres ski. The house is located directly on (and has BEAUTIFUL views of) the Roaring Fork River. We would highly recommend this house for a winter vacation.

Awesome Week @ The Riverhouse

The Riverhouse exceeded all expectations. The listing is accurate, plenty of space for a multigenerational family to spread out. The outdoor space and views are beautiful and the river setting is serene, peaceful and more breathtaking than I ever would have imagined. Bill was a tremendous host, responsive and welcoming. We are already discussing plans for next summer.

Fantastic trip, comfy house!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bill & Terri's River House. There was plenty of room for us to spread out, and it was very well-equipped for all ages and activities. Bill was great to work with - responsive when booking and with follow-up questions. The visitor guide that he provided was very helpful, and made us all want to come back in the summer to bike, hike, fish and enjoy the screen house! All of the ski hills were close by (we went to all but Buttermilk), and we went into town a handful of times to eat, browse, and shop. Dinner at Woody Creek Tavern was fun, and we also enjoyed swimming/hot tubbing at the Snowmass Rec Center. Thanks for sharing your home - we hope to be back!

2023 family vacation

The Riverhouse was our choice for our annual family vacation-9 adults (17-80) and an eleven year old. Loved the different spaces at the riverhouse-could all be together or find our separate areas. But the deck was the best for coming together! Nice to have en-suite bathrooms for most of the bedrooms! Kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of everything we needed! So much to do in Aspen-Sunday on Aspen mountain, yoga, whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River, Maroon Bells, Snowmass concert on the lawn of Fanny Hill, and woody Creek Tavern! Would love to think we could return! Like Colorado best in the summer! Thanks Bill for sharing your home!

Exactly as advertised

Group of nine Dads on annual ski trip stayed at the Riverhouse this week and all left with a smile on their face. The house was close to the resorts with many public transit and parking options. The hot tub was amazing. Might be a bit better for families with kids than having a few Dads sleeping in the bunk beds but that’s just us. The house was perfect in all it offered. Comfy, amenities, big kitchen, huge dining room table. We cooked in most nights. And did I mention the hot tub? Brand new. So good…overlooking the river. We never felt crowded. Great heating, hot water, baths, etc. I would rent again with my family.

location location location

We just returned from a fabulous ski trip with our family and friends. This house is 3 minutes from the free park and ride bus to Snowmass, Aspen and the other mountains. We found the house to be very spacious and comfortable for our group. The cozy retro style and gorgeous views of this house just added to our experience. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and had many items and supplies we used a few and left a few more. I recommend checking into the house prior to shopping you may find many things on your list are already there like spices, etc. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful house on the river. We were visited several times by a number of deer in the yard. Great trip! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Perfect location to Snowmass and Buttermilk

Very spacious. The cabin was nice being spread out over three floors. Very nice recreational area. Views were outstanding. We saw several different types of wild life. Mule deer came out right under the front porch one day, as well as a flock of turkeys. We saw two bald eagles and numerous types of birds. The kids did sledding beside the house.

Great stay, location and house

Great location, comfortable and impressive facility.

This is our 2nd year that my family (kids, grandkids) stayed at The Riverhouse. It was as memorable as the first. The location is unbeatable and the house is very accommodating. Also the owner is extremely responsive to any issues. 5-star is definitely earned.

Winter retreat

Beautiful location on the Roaring Fork River. Neighborhood mule deer was a delight. Short drive to free car park and bus to Snowmass. Aspen just 15 minute drive. Owner was accommodating.
