You will feel like you’re living in a postcard when you stay at The Ferry Landing Suites! The Elwha Suite is a delightful two bedroom condo located on the center level of a landmark building just a few steps from the heart of historic Friday Harbor. There is no accommodation more convenient for walking from the ferry landing or seaplane dock should you choose to leave the car behind on the mainland. When you do bring the car, there’s a coveted on-site parking space reserved just for you.

You will find all the attractions and activities that Friday Harbor has to offer within a short stroll, including whale watching excursions, kayak adventures, local shops, fine galleries, theater, and an eclectic selection of restaurants. As an added bonus, there’s a coffee shop on the lower level where you can sip your morning latte, enjoy fresh baked goods, or enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie. During the summer, perch up on your balcony above the bustling street to enjoying watching the ferries glide in and out of the harbor. During the fall and winter months, you will find the Elwha a wonderful place to snuggle up indoors and enjoy the quiet, reflective atmosphere cherished by the locals.

The Elwha Suite is beautifully furnished, featuring two equal bedrooms, both with queen-sized beds. The living area is spacious offering a sleeper sofa, full kitchen, and dining table. A perfect choice for two couples or small family. This unit is people friendly, and not pet friendly.

Interim cleaning is available on request.

Please note this condo has 17 steps to get to the entrance.

The property was in a perfect location in Friday harbor. We watched the ferry come in and leave. Everything was close. A coffee shop in the same building! Awesome!You could hear the early morning garbage trucks but that didn’t bother us a bit!

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The place was exactly as advertised. It was clean and comfortable, the location is awesome if you want to be in the middle of it all. The shops, restaurants and grocery store are all in walking distance. Having a coffee shop right down stairs was also super convenient. You do catch a bit of noise from the coffee shop in the morning as they open but nothing that was an issue for us. Being across the street from the ferry dock provided us with some good people watching from the outdoor deck and the front window. You do catch a bit of noise from the ferry auto lanes right next to the property in the morning but again, it was not an issue for us. Check in was seamless and NW Vacations was in communication with us via text, providing us with contact info if needed as well as the check in/entry info. I will stay here again in the future.

The owner was very attentive for our visit. We had a couple of requests and the owner jumped right on it. I was very impressed with their responsiveness. This was the perfect place for us to rent over the holiday weekend. Right place right time. It was very enjoyable for us to be so close to all the foot traffic that comes and goes from the ferry to downtown. The hosts were very accommodating to requests. The deck was the perfect spot to watch the fireworks.

Great location, love the bay windows and deck looking out on the harbor. Walk everywhere in FH, easy to enjoy a few days away from the mainland and all that the islands have to offer. Great space! Right across the street from the ferry and good dining option. The bed was super comfortable. There is some noise early in the morning but we’re early morning people so we weren’t bothered by this. There is no AC as another review mentioned but this wasn’t an issue after opening the windows for a little bit to let in some cool air. Would stay here again if we’re back in Friday Harbor!

We liked the apartment itself and enjoyed our time in Friday Harbor, but unfortunately, poor management significantly affected our stay. The biggest issue was noise. Music and other loud noise started as early as 5:00 AM and was particularly loud in the secondary bedroom, making it difficult to sleep. We brought this to management’s attention while it was happening, but nothing was done. We received a message saying, “we hear your concerns,” but there was no meaningful follow-up or action. This was especially frustrating given the multiple reminders throughout the property asking guests to be mindful of their own noise levels and considerate of others. The parking situation was another example of poor problem resolution. We asked if we could use one of the other parking spots, but were told they were needed for other guests. However, during the entire two days we were there, no one else used those spots. We understand that parking may be reserved, but there was no effort to find a reasonable alternative. A manager was sent to address the issue but never followed up with us afterward. Finally, housekeeping arrived at 9:56 AM while we were still gathering our belongings and getting ready to leave. We understand the need to prepare for the next guests, but a little flexibility around checkout would have made a big difference. We liked the apartment and location, but the repeated lack of communication, follow-through, and reasonable problem-solving was disappointing.

We do note in the listing that there is a coffee shop nearby, although we understand that the early morning noise was frustrating. Some guests enjoy the activity and sounds, while others may prefer a quieter setting. Regarding parking, each unit has a designated space, while the other spaces are reserved for other units, so we’re sorry we weren’t able to offer the other space. We also apologize that housekeeping arrived a few minutes early. We have let our manager know so we can help make sure this doesn’t happen again. While we appreciate you sharing your concerns, we don’t feel the rating fully reflects the effort and care we put into the home. I’m truly sorry these issues impacted your stay. We would be happy to welcome you again and hope you’ll give us another opportunity to provide a more enjoyable experience in the Islands.

Great location, right at the ferry landing in Friday Harbor. Watched the ferry and boats come and go, as well as the people to and from the ferry. Right next to many restaurants and shopping. The apartment had all the necessities for our stay, the bedding and towels were of a high quality, and the place was clean. We will stay again.
