*** This home is people friendly, and not pet friendly. *** You will feel like you’re living in a postcard when you stay at The Ferry Landing Suites! The Yakima Suite is a large loft located on the upper level of a landmark Victorian house, right in the heart of historic Friday Harbor. There is no accommodation more convenient for walking from the ferry landing or seaplane dock should you choose to leave the car behind on the mainland! But when you do bring the car, there is a coveted on-site parking space reserved just for you. You will find all the attractions and activities that Friday Harbor has to offer within a short stroll, including whale watching excursions, kayak adventures, local shops, fine galleries, theater, and an eclectic selection of restaurants. As an added bonus, there’s a coffee shop on the lower level where you can sip your morning latte, enjoy fresh baked goods, or enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie. During the summer, perch up on your balcony above the bustling street to enjoying watching the ferries glide in and out of the harbor. During the fall and winter months, you will find the Yakima a wonderful place to snuggle up indoors and enjoy the quiet, reflective atmosphere cherished by the locals. The Yakima Suite is beautifully furnished, featuring a queen size bed tucked into a romantic alcove with a skylight above so you can count the stars. The living area is spacious, offering a sleeper sofa, kitchenette, and dining table. When visiting the San Juan Islands, this is the perfect choice for one or more. Interim cleaning is available on request. This unit is people friendly, and not pet friendly. Please note this condo has 22 steps to get to the entrance. Excellent Stay!This place was absolutely perfect! It was well stocked with everything we needed, comfortable, spotless, and had a beautiful view. The location couldn’t be better—close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

The place to stay in Friday Harbor

Fantastic studio apartment steps away from the ferry in the heart of Friday Harbor. Great views of the harbor from either of the 2 outside decks. Would definitely stay here again!

Honeymoon Dream

We stayed here for two nights and explored Friday Harbor. Not only was this place beautiful, but it was in the best location. We were in walking distance to shops, food, sights, and (most importantly) the ferry. We loved our time here and would love to come back again.

You cannot beat the location! Right by the marina which was fantastic as we arrived by boat. Nice and spacious and equipped with everything we needed to prepare a simple dinner. The pullout bed was exceptionally comfortable and worth a mention as that is not usually the case:) Would book here again in a heartbeat!

Great location right in the middle of everything! Phenomenal views of Friday Harbor and the Ferry. It made our trip a success! Highly recommend.

The Yakima Suite is all about the view. A fantastic view of the ferry dock, yacht harbor and float plane landings. It is a hike of 33 steps up to the 3rd floor apartment. But my wife who uses 2 canes did it fine by just taking her time. We hit the weather jackpot with 3 days of full sun and no wind.

Awesome Lication!

The Yakima Suite was the perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. The view of the ferries coming and going and of the marina and bay made it the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine or enjoy our morning coffee. Perfect location to walk the town and enjoy the shops, watch a movie, or have a wonderful dining experience. Can’t wait to go back.

Perfect Island Get-Away!

We celebrated out 25th wedding anniversary in the Yakima Suite and it was perfect! The weather was amazing and enjoyed kayaking around Lime Kiln Lighthouse and Roche Harbor. We loved shopping and dining just steps from our suite and watching the ferries and people come and go from our lanai was so much fun. Thank you for a memorable 3 days!!

A short stay IN the harbor!

We felt like a part of the town and harbor! Watching the ferries come and go, unload and load was delightful. This little place was very efficient and comfortable for my mom and me. We loved all the windows and light. It felt like we were in a bird's nest on top of the town.

I am so happy that you had a great experience while staying at the Yakima Suite! The location is a lot of fun, so close to everything, but perched up high for privacy and that special birds eye view. I hope you can come again to enjoy the magic of the San Juan Islands.

Amazing location and views! We will be back for sure. Be ready for a lot of stairs but it’s worth it. My only complaint is with the flood of emails from the host before and during our stay, a very minor issue. You will definitely not be disappointed with this stay!

Perfect Location

I wanted to watch the ferries come and go and it doesn’t get any better than this location. Two balconies or sitting inside at the tall table have you looking right into the belly of the ferry. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Very clean and excellent communication from the owner before and during the stay. If I get the opportunity to come back, there’s nowhere else I would stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely stay in the Yakima Suite. It was convenient to everything and well appointed. Could have been cleaner but it didn't detract from our stay.

Did a last minute 3 night birthday solo trip and couldn't bring my car. I booked kayaking, whale watching excursions and a reservation at Walden (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) which were all within a couple blocks of this place. Watched the ferry come in and out of the harbor from the balcony and the people milling below. Decent breakfast sandos are downstairs, location is great to explore the cute town of Friday Harbor. This place was exactly what I was looking for. Not overly fancy, but was perfect for reading on the balcony, people watching, and walking the town. For those who like to sleep in past 8a and have the windows open all night, I'd recommend ear plugs for the boat and potential coffee shop rattle downstairs. If you're already up (which I was) it's kind of charming.

The apartment was lovely but I had no internet and I had to call to get the toilet to work. The management company, Northwest Island Escapes, was very responsive and helpful.

The Yakima Suite was perfect for our 4 days stay on San Juan Island. Convenient downtown location with all services located within walking distance. Kings Market is great. San Juan Brewery had good pizza. Julie’s Nursery had a wonderful selection of plants, seeds and gifts. The suite was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Sadly several (4) downtown restaurants have closed. Good news several new restaurants are in the remodel process hoping to open for the summer season.
