Profiled in Architectural Digest Magazine, Mexico and España. Villa Pelicanos is a special, luxury private residence, nestled on a stunning and lush 5 acre knoll in Sayulita with secluded beachfront access, oceanside yoga platform and beautiful jungle and unimpeded ocean views.

Under new owners since 2019, our newly renovated property offers 9 bedrooms, each with amazing full ocean views. Villa Pelicanos creates a truly magical vacation experience for any group, retreat or special family gathering. Relaxing on this tropical property you will feel totally removed from the day-to-day hustle and bustle. Town is a close 7-10 min walk for shopping, surfing, ice creams and eating out in the village of Sayulita.

Amenities:

Enjoy - Cool off in the infinity pool while the pelicans fly overhead, build sand castles on our beach, visit lovely Los Muertos next door or simply sip fresh margaritas while watching the sunset turn into a moon rise at these luxury private casitas. Our pool is heated for comfortable swimming, even in the winter season.

Relax - Find serenity on our new beachside yoga platform. Built for 20, it is perfect for a rejuvenating stretch. Yoga instructors are available on request. Wander our grounds - they are a tropical experience complete with amazing flowers, butterflies and our resident iguana.

Sleep - Fall asleep to the sounds of waves, wake up to the blue ocean. Our spacious bedrooms are ensuite with beautifully appointed bathrooms. Coyuchi and Frette Luxury Linens are provided. Every bedroom on the property has expansive ocean views and private terrace areas. Our property sleeps 18 total (our maximum capacity). 2 additional cribs are available upon request.

A Sus Ordenes - The entire 5 acre Villa Pelicanos estate is rented by the week for full privacy. We have an on-site property manager and daily cleaning service (no cleaning service Christmas day, Easter, and new years). In addition, our guest manager, Theo, fluent in both english and spanish, can assist with arrangements of airport transfers, cooks & chefs, massages, boating, fishing, surf lessons or any of the other adventures Sayulita offers. We are less than one hour from Puerto Vallarta airport (PVR).

****Villa Pelicanos is available for 7 night stays throughout the high season. Shorter stays may be possible during the off season depending on availability and time of booking.****

We enjoyed the most glorious Christmas week at Villa Pelicanos!!!!! The staff was truly outstanding and Theo was always on call and responded promptly to any questions we might have….we could not have been any more pleased with this gorgeous, spacious property!!!! What a treat!

We just returned from a 1 week stay at Villa Pelicanos...It was by far one of the 'BEST' weeks our family has ever enjoyed...From the moment we confirmed our reservation, to our communication with Theo, to our fantastic meals from Marianna and Nancy, to Javier's on site assistance to make sure our holiday was just 'Perfect'. We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our full compliment of 18 in our immediate family. Our 8 Grandchildren, our Children and their spouses ALL were absolutely blown away by the beauty, cleanliness, the views, the rooms, and everything that makes this property stand out as one of the 'BEST' we have ever stayed. However it is the people of Villa Pelicanos that make the difference. They are warm, generous, genuine, and fun. Can't say enough about them and our magical experience in Sayulita for our 50..Celebration!

Another fantastic stay!

We came back for the third time and so glad we did! Words can’t express the magic of Villa Pelicanos. This property is starting to feel like home and can’t wait to go back next year. Make sure you have Mariana and Nancy prepare all your meals. They are fabulous hosts and excellent cooks.

Absolutely perfect spot for a large group who also want some personal space

We booked this place for my husbands 50th birthday party. We had 2 different groups of 16 people. We changed our groups 1/2 way through our 10 day stay, and the communication and all the details that they organized went very smoothly. We hired a chef WHO WAS AWESIME AND ALSO HAF A PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTOR WHO WAS GREAT AS WELL, Honestly, everything went better then we could’ve hoped.

Dream Vacation in Sayulita

Dream stay with our family and friends for my husband’s birthday celebration. Everything was over the top at Villa Pelicanos. Ahead of our stay, Theo went above and beyond to help me make special plans and surprises for our guests and my husband. He ensured we had every detail sorted and created a wonderful experience for us. Mariana was an exceptional chef preparing wonderful meals and was very accommodating. Javier did an excellent job with our shopping and helping us during our stay with any needs. The property is quite special. We enjoyed yoga by the water. We had a really fun fiesta with a mariachi band and created memories to cherish for a lifetime. The one note of caution is to take the rules seriously and keep your villa locked up and valuables put away. Otherwise, you couldn’t ask for a more beautiful and special place to stay in Sayulita than here. The owners did a wonderful job and are extremely lucky to have Theo running the property. I would book again for sure!

Incredible Property - Wonderful Trip

My family and friends traveled from near and far to be with me to celebrate a milestone birthday. We stayed at Villa Pelicano's and we didn't have a single regret about our choice. The property is magnificent with views of the ocean from every single place you could stand. Mariana/Xavier/Theo and everyone else we encountered was amazing. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful and relaxing. Exactly what my multigenerational group needed. Thank you, Villa Pelicanos!

Spectacular Stay!

I have stayed all over the world and our stay at Villa Pelicanos was one of the absolute best. It is the little things that make a difference, the rooms were wonderful, such comfortable beds, the outdoor showers were amazing, the pool and the gathering spaces were awesome. The whole lay out is perfect for families and our group of 15 and 2 babies had plenty of space to be together and our own personal space to go to when we needed to. Theo was magic, he helped me with all of the planning and everything he recommended was perfect, he is a gem and so great to work with. Mariana and Nancy cooked breakfast and dinner for us every day and it was fabulous, I highly recommend that luxury! The villa is really close to Sayulita, and we loved going into the town every day to shop and hang out, the location is perfect. The views are stunning, I am not sure there is another place with such a perfect view, it was such a magical place to be, I wish we could have stayed longer, and I hope to come back, it is that special.

A Slice of Heaven

This is our second time staying at Villa Pellicanos, and each time is better than the last. The pool, the villas, the finishing details, are all gorgeous. You won't regret staying here for one moment. One negative (and there really aren't any others) is that they really do mean ONLY 18 guests. Period. We had friends staying down the street, and they were very particular about when and how the guests visited. Annoying, as it should be our place for the week, and should feel comfortable, not stressed on vacation. Other than that, I can't recommend this place enough.

Spring Break 2024

Wow! What a place!! Location is perfect and place exceeded all expectations. Perfect for kids and adults……and even 1 senior citizen. Beaches were great and easily accessible but nothing beats sitting high on the hill at the pool overlooking everything!! Would highly recommend this property plus any/all extras (meals, yoga, etc.).

A gorgeous property

We enjoyed our stay very much! Theo was great to communicate with and provided assistance in booking tours. The staff at the villa were wonderful, we hardly knew they were there. Mariana and Nancy prepared delicious meals for us! The property itself is wonderful and immaculate! The pool was perfect for all our kids. Each family having there own villa was great. We could be together but privacy at the same time! We highly recommend this property!

Beautiful Location, close to everything, great for families.

The villas are really beautiful with enough room for everyone to be comfortable. You can easily walk to the beach or in town. The staff was great and the food was really good. Theo was very responsive and great helping with arrangements. The property was very lush and well maintained, would definitely return.

You Will Be The Booking Hero

What a gem! Upon our arrival at Villas Pelicanos, I became the booking hero of our family. From the pictures, we knew it was going to be amazing, but in person, this place blew our minds. Even the moody tween in the group used words like, "stunning" and "breathtaking". The true heroes that leveled up our vacation were the staff, from the initial correspondence with Theo during the planning stages to the amazing support staff on-site during our stay. If you're reading reviews and debating whether you should book this place, stop, just book it, and be the next booking hero.

Exceptional property

Beautiful location in a unique area of Mexico. We enjoyed the privacy of the beautiful property and the fun atmosphere of downtown Sayulita! The staff is amazing. they were able to help us arrange multiple events and prepared delicious authentic Mexican meals. We had a wonderful time

Truly Special Family Vacation

This was the perfect location for our 4 families (including grandparents and kids 10, 9, 8, 8, 7 and 6) to stay for a week. The beach at the house was our favorite beach, we paddled, snorkeled and floated. Playa Muertos was also a great all ages location and super convenient. The rooms, the views, the pool were amazing. We had meals prepared by Mariana and Nancy every night. Our breakfast and dinners were all delicious, and they were so accommodating of our dietary needs and our desired service time. It was so convenient and good that we didn’t eat out. Yoga with Nara was wonderful as well. Theo, Javier, Mariana, Nancy and all were great caretakers. Mosquito repellent was a must. We highly recommend!
