Waterfront Cabin! Adults Only (Whale Watch Point)

Whale Watch Point - Waterfront! The Whale Watch Point guest house is a slice of heaven - watch and listen to the orca whales meander by, enjoy one of the best views from land of the Lime Kiln Lighthouse, and sit back and relax gazing out to the wide open Haro Strait.

The guest house is beautifully and tastefully furnished. Walking through the main entrance will place you with the cozy, well-stocked kitchen to your right, the water-view dining table to your left, and the comfortable living room in front of you. The living room is equipped with a flat -screen TV with satellite TV service. There is also Wi-fi offered. Down the short hallway off the living room, guests will find the stackable washer/dryer closet, situated between the bedroom and extra sleeping room.
The Full bathroom is also found off the left side of the hallway.

Enjoy an exquisite panoramic view off the deck, day or night this view will take your breath away!

The grounds of property are a wonderful representation of the island landscape with madrones, firs, and rocky knolls that include trails to sitting areas where you can enjoy watching the marine activities.

Guests will enjoy all the nearby hikes, parks and beaches including: Limekiln Lighthouse and Whale Watch Park, Deadman's Cove, San Juan County Park or Krystal Acres Alpaca Farm.

This is a very special place on San Juan Island! The views and sunsets are lovely, the cottage is clean and comfortable, and it is easy to get to other parts of the island. Communication with the agent was seamless! Highly recommended!!

The home is exactly as pictured and the host was clear in communicating about everything we needed to know. The views are amazing and we especially enjoyed the deer that surround.

We stayed here for our 10-year anniversary, and it was absolutely magical! We got in after dark, so finding our way took a minute (where exactly to go, where to park), but once we stepped inside and out onto the deck — wow. The view took my breath away! You can see Lime Kiln Lighthouse right from the balcony, which was the main reason I booked this place, and it did not disappoint.The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The couch was a bit broken in which made us sink into it. There are a few chairs, but nothing super comforrsble for relaxing. One bed was really soft, and the other was firm - so, something for everyone. But the best part? The view and the wildlife. Sitting on the balcony, listening to the birds and watching everything around us was just incredible. We saw deer wandering through the property, heard great horned owls calling to each other at night, and even spotted a couple of foxes! At least one adult fox, and a younger one that was very interested in us! No whales this time, but it was still such a peaceful, beautiful, unforgettable place. There were a few annoyances that I said above, but I'd be happy to stay here again! (I said multiple times that I felt like a Disney princess because of all the wildlife!)

We, unfortunately, did not stay at this property due to a burst pipe. We were given a stay at another property which was beautiful. The comminication was a bit all over the place. However, overall the place we ended up in was nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our time here was wonderful! It was so secluded and private and it had all the essential to have a lazy, do-nothing vacation. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect place to relax after the stress of our wedding. Several mornings we sat on the deck with our coffee and watched baby deer walk by. If we had gone during whale watching season it would have been perfect then too!

This is my second time at this property. It’s remote and quiet with a beautiful view of the water and lighthouse. Very clean and comfortable and perfect for a single or couple. Deer and foxes roam the property and are very tame. Highly recommended for an extended stay on San Juan island.

Great Location and Great Cabin

Incredible location, great water views from the living room and deck, and wildlife surrounding the remote private location. We brought a few items from home (some kitchen utensils, a room fan, a night light), however, the cabin had all those items including everything else we would need. We brought clothes, food, and toiletries and extra binoculars, and we were all set. The hosts' house is nearby, but with the boulders and trees, the cabin is very private. This was our first VRBO experience and the bar has been set high for our next VRBO trip.

We were not able to see whales, but did see more eagles soaring and fishing than we have ever seen before. Sitting on the porch and taking in the view was just incredible. Would recommend and definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful

Our stay was wonderful! The cabin was in a beautiful location. Quiet, overlooking the Pacific, and surrounded by wild life and total quiet. We loved the islands, especially Orcas Island.

Peace and quiet

Very remote cabin located on the shore. The cabin is clean and comfortable. Great views of the sunset (unfortunately no whale sightings). Convenient to the parks on the west and south side of the island. The cabin is set up for a long stay but bring your groceries and everything you need to cook-the stores are not close by. Recommended for a peaceful vacation

Cute. ADU attached property with wonderful partial views of Lime Kiln lighthouse

Things we loved: The wildlife on property; fox, deer, lots of birds and raccoons. (Unfortunately the whales are not frequenting this area as much as they have in the past because of lower food supply, so we didn’t see whales from this space) The view of deck, although partially obstructed with trees was lovely. Things that need improvements; For this being one of the most expensive smaller attached adus on the island. The ADU comes with discarded and broken household furniture and appliances, dishes. There are no wine glasses but only plastic stemware from the dollar store. There is a broken grandfather clock in bedroom. The kitchen was lacking baking dishes, a mixer, updated appliances. The reason why this is so disappointing to me is this issue has been mentioned several times in reviews dating back ten years but nothing has been done. There are lots of Farms on the island and not that great restaurants and not having the tools to be able to cook was disappointing. Also, considering how much it costs not being greeted with at least coffee for the morning was -a shock. The owners live next door on property. I felt like the owners don’t really take very much pride into having guests on their property. They do not act as if we are guests , but rather we should feel privileged to be there and felt subhuman. To top it all off, the parking for the unit is a bit designated away unlike owner if you don’t park there they will Be woken up at 7 am!!

Wonderful

Such a special and unique place to stay. The cottage has everything you need, and you can watch for whales from your deck as well as other vantage points on the property. And if you're not whale-watching it's fun to watch all the deer, raccoons and foxes that live on the property.

The owners of the property are next door and are so nice! The property is very private and is located on what has to be the best spot on the island for wildlife experiences and views. Where else can you possibly see bald eagles, whales, ravens, deer, foxes, and raccoons all in the same place? It truly is a little piece of heaven and I plan on returning next year. As far as amenities, the house had everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable. The property was clean and well-maintained.

Photos don’t do this place justice. The view of lime kiln lighthouse is truly stunning. The tranquility and wildness of the location is amazing. Waking up and coming home to an array of wild deer, raccoons and foxes is like a Disney paradise. Would highly recommend

Located just north of lime kiln state park, the cottage has a beautiful view of the sound and the location is a good place to spot wildlife. There were a couple of foxes and deer that frequented the property. The cottage is a guest house on a mutiacre property. The main house is several away. The cottage has a kitchen which is supplied with dishes, cutlery, glasses for 2 or 3 people. There are two bedrooms with queen beds. It is a lovely, clean, modern place and perfect for a couple's or small family’s get a way

The view is spectacular and we saw 2 Orcas right out back the first night! You’ll feel like Snow White with all the deer, raccoons, bald eagles, and foxes that live on this property. The cottage is super cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen, and comfy beds. There are 2 bedrooms, even though the listing only said 1, so this was a welcomed surprise. We would love to stay at this cottage again!
