Nestled on 3/4 of an acre ,next to the historical Tuolumne water supply ditch on a wooded lot bordering the Stanislaus Forest, this is the ideal vacation home. Spacious three bedroom/2 bath home features vaulted knotty pine ceilings, a wrap-around deck and plenty of windows to enjoy the great outdoors. Custom built in 2010, this home includes cedar siding, energy efficient construction/windows/ appliances, hardwood floors and carpeted bedrooms. Large great-room next to the open kitchen and dining area. Two spacious bedrooms, a full bath and laundry room downstairs. Upstairs includes a loft for office or guest , master bedroom with balcony and full bath with Jacuzzi. Covered carport. Enjoy recreation trails right out your back door for jogging, hiking, biking, watching the deer ,squirrel's or just listening to the water flowing . Dining and entertainment in Twain Harte are only 20 minutes away, and Dodge Ridge and Pinecrest are less than a 40 minute drive. Yosemite is a 2 hour drive , Black Oak casino is less than a 30 min drive..

Peaceful, modern, and just what you need

If you need to get away and want peace, animals, and clean beautiful mountain mornings then Gary's place is it. It was just my wife and I but this place can fit 2 families. Don't think about it, just book it!

A beautiful getaway

Cozy Cabin for a Fun Winter Weekend!

We enjoyed a relaxing family weekend at the cabin, which had really nice proximity to winter activities. Great communication with host and comfortable space for a getaway.

Great family fun

We had a wonderful time , the cabin is beautiful and in a quiet location .. off the regular path. It’s relaxing and enjoyable ! Excellent kitchen and room for our family. We drove into Sonora, Twain Heart, Pincrest Lake, had dinner at Mia’s and my brother went fishing . We saw many deer and my brother went fishing .

Enchanted house in the trees

We had a lovely little vacation in this very comfortable, well-appointed house overlooking a beautiful creek. We were lucky enough to get snow which was a delight to watch from our cozy warm space. We cooked some great meals and wanted for nothing. Highly recommended - hope we can go again in future.

Excellent Cabin!

If you are looking for a private getaway nearby many activities in the area then this is the place for you. The cabin was more beautiful in person and everything was top notch from communication with the hosts to the tiniest details. It was very clean, comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen and host who went out of their way to create the best guest experience. Great linens, comfy beds, stream nearby, wildlife galore and great instructions for using the fireplace, hot tub and jacuzzi. Beautiful home and a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

A great gataway

Comfortable beds and cozy decor. Everything we needed. Beautiful views of falling snow. The best neighbors ever with snowblower and salt to help us get up the driveway after snowfall. Thank you for sharing your place.

Wonderful property

A wonderful place to stay, everything well-appointed. One note- the hot tub was not in useable condition - check first if you plan to use the hot tub so that it can be prepared. Location - driveway is steep and narrow, but the surrounding is beautiful. Owner is very communicative and helpful.

Relaxation in the redwoods

We have now stayed at this home two times and just love it. The amenities are amazing and the layout of the home is fantastic for large groups with kids. The neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet. Lots of wildlife to see. The owners are very easy and great to deal with. They check in multiple times just to make sure your stay is going great. They answer any and all questions within minutes. Will definitely stay at this home again!

Amazing place in an amazing town and spot!

My friend and I LOVED staying here. We made great memories and got much-needed refreshment by being in nature from the busy day to day. Gary's place had everything you needed to stay comfortable. I also really loved the trail by the water behind his house! I recommend everyone to walk through it! My husband and I enjoyed seeing some deer roam through; it was quiet and beautiful. All my friends got to explore the friendly little town of Twain Harte and we all said that we would come back again!

Great for Multiple Families

Everyone had a comfortable room: two couples, a mom and child and a grandmother. Beautiful views and we loved walking along the aqua duct. The trees were beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the deer. The kitchen was well equipped and the space was attractive, comfortable and well organized. Would recommend over shooting the drive way, then backing in, due to super sharp turn. We would book this house again and highly recommend it.

Great and cozy stay

This is a beautiful home and it is well-maintained. Perfect for our family weekend away. The hot tub in the woods was so relaxing! You can barely see other homes so you really are in the woods and it is beautiful. The check-in information sent by email is a little disorganized (listed garage that wasn't there and included two different wifi log ins) so I hope they will update that at some point for other people. But Gary was great at texting immediately and answered all our questions right away, so the stay was perfect.

Fantastic. Plenty of room. Out door hot tub in the snow was epic.

Gary & Ann, Had a wonderful stay at your place. Lots of snow and beautiful blue ski weather for skiing. Looking forward to renting again in summer. Would like to know easiest way to reserve your home. Haven’t quite have the dates yet, but as soon as Mary and I have them, would like to reserve. Thank you very much for letting us stay. Hidden gem

This cabin is a hidden gem! Very spacious and comfortable. The views of the trees and creek are so peaceful and perfect! We enjoyed walks along the “creek” as well as the hot tub! We were able to go skiing one day and visit the surrounding California/National Parks (Calaveras Trees & Yosemite). The house was very clean and fully stocked with amenities. The driveway was steep, but manageable. Enough room for two small families to feel comfortable. Glad we were able to make memories here!

Peaceful, incredible vacation home

My children and I really enjoyed our time at this lovely, well-equipped home. It was exactly as pictured and even more spectacular of a setting in person. We loved the wood-burning fireplace, hot tub, jacuzzi tub, and the holiday decorations were a lovely touch. We also enjoyed the board games and the many streaming options. We had a nice walk along the aqueduct. We sledded one day at the Sno-Park and enjoyed nearby Pinecrest Lake. Very relaxing and cozy stay. Fast communication with the hosts. Heads up for coffee lovers, bring your own, but the filters, makers and sugar are there for those who need it. Really lovely time in a fantastic location!

Girls weekend

We had a great time. The house is very well stocked. Gary is very responsive and the neighbor was very helpful to us when we needed a bit of help getting up driveway. All and all great experience. Only thing that I would say was not great is the driveway! Check weather and park up top if rainy or snowy conditions. Also back into driveway. We lost power due to storm so generator should be more accessible in emergency. Owner was very appreciative of our feedback. Must be absolutely beautiful in summertime cause it was beautiful in the snow!

Awesome Stay

Our family spent Thanksgiving here and we had an amazing time! This cabin is really beautiful. It is newer and modern and has a very cozy feel. The first thing we noticed was that it was spotlessly clean. It is the cleanest cabin we have ever rented. Gary is very accomodating and an excellent host. He answered every question immediately and was very accessible. The cabin sits in the trees with a beautiful view from inside the cabin and on the deck. We loved the canal that is just down the hill from the cabin and provides quite a scenic walk. We saw lots of deer every day. We definitely would rent here again. Thanks so much Gary and Anne for sharing your cabin.

Great view and very clean house

We had a great time at this beautiful and clean place. The kids loved playing in the loft area. The view of the house is incredible and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything worked well except the jet tub in the master bathroom which had black mold when we turned it on. I am grateful that the owner required us to pay extra for insurance at booking. My three-year-old niece had nosebleeds at night and left blood stains on bed and comforter. Luckily the insurance could cover this kind of accident. Thank you Gary for letting us stay at your place.

great place!

This place was great. The property was extremely clean and well appointed with with anything you would need!The photos provide an accurate picture of the property. Also in a great location; although you do need to drive to get to stores and restaurants. The house was in a beautiful setting and hearing the water below was an added bonus!!! It was a very peaceful setting and the hiking trail along the tuolomne water ditch was superb. We took a nice hike just about every morning. Gary was great with directions and information and was an added touch having Tom,one of the neighbors, available for any immediately e needs. Would HIGHLY recommend this property if you want a clean, tranquil, beautiful place. We've rented many homes and this was top notch. Thanks Gary for sharing and being easy to work with.

Tranquil Cabin in the Trees

Spacious, thoughtfully appointed home that was perfectly located for a quiet getaway. The floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the living space in light and immerse you in the trees. Out on the deck, watch the deer frolic below and hear the burbling rush of the "creek" when it's running. Access to the trail that follows the water is a short walk down the hill and you can walk for miles. The cabin has a wonderfully private feel, very little traffic noise from the road. Easy to operate the wood-burning fireplace. Well-equipped kitchen--do bring your own seasonings, oils, vinegars and such if you're picky about that kind of thing. Wifi speeds were plenty fast for working online. The owner was incredibly responsive. Can't wait to book another stay!

Private and beautiful home in the woods

Wow wow your home is so BEAUTIFUL. We can tell you put a lot of your heart in it. Really we mean that. So many personal thoughts and touches you made. My friend Allen and I only used 2 of the bedrooms but so accommodating to a lot of friends and family’s for sure. Hot tub, AMAZING. Spent 2 hours in it on day 1&2. Our recommendations for your future guests. Driveway- we had a little VW golf so we got down and able to turn in it carefully but not recommended for any other cars. Should park at the top Stairs down to unit-Be very careful if there is snow(which we had). Can be slippery Fire Place- used thongs(sorry) from kitchen to grab wood and turn logs to not burn ourselves. All other fireplace stuff great! Temperature in the home perfect when we arrived. Thank you We had soap in bathrooms. We brought ours but thank you. Spices perfect for our cooking. Kitchen so amazing! Instructions to your home was perfect as the entrance code. We accidentally locked ourselves out from door by kitchen but walked around and used code to front door to get back in……whew close call. WiFi was great throughout your home We drank water from the sink. I hope it’s ok? Better than plastic bottles from Safeway honestly. You home is so peaceful and quiet. Listening to the brook down below. I’m sure your summers are amazing hanging out when it’snot the cold season.
