Romantic Stone Cottage, Your Island Hideaway from it all!

Stone Cottage is a charming quaint one bedroom getaway for those truly in love! This home is set within an estate on the north side of St. Thomas, west of Magen's Bay, and off the beaten path. The gardens feature palms, fruit trees of all types and tropical flowers for your enjoyment. The cocktail pool is just a few steps from your master king bedroom for a romantic dip for two. Fully air-conditioned and well equipped with everything you need and furnished with bright, cheerful tropical colors. Enjoy Stone Cottage in all its simplicity. Island life as it used to be...as its meant to be. We are constantly upgrading furniture and bedding, please understand that not everything will be the same as pictured at all times :) NO EVENTS at this property! This house is for you only. You may have a very limited amount of friends for a visit provided you have owner's written permission.
Stone Cottage shares the same property with another home, but privacy is complete between the two.
*Please note that if you book during hurricane season and a storm should come, please be prepared to vacate the villa. We highly recommend CFAR (for any reason) Trip Insurance during any portion of your stay!
* Gardeners come to our property twice a month with no certain date set. Sherri will notify you the day before they are coming.

For me, knowing that you had stayed on island in the past and were familiar with our terrain was comforting. I hardly knew you were at the cottage for your whole duration! The cottage is beautiful with a spectacular view. It is stocked with all the essentials and is very clean. Loved the patio area and enjoyed the pool. Sherri is a wonderful host and was always available. Loved our time there and will definitely be back

We had an amazing time. The house was beautiful - better than the pictures! Sherrie was so helpful and interesting to talk to! Very willing to help in any way she could. The house was well stocked, very clean, very private, there was nothing that we needed while we were there! Cannot say enough good things about our stay!

We were blessed once again by having wonderful guests! I enjoyed our moment when you had asked if I could sit and talk for a bit. I never want to overstay my welcome, but it was so easy to chat with you both and I could have talked forever, ha ha! I liked how you wanted to know more about the island and the locals and what life is like here. Culture is a thing and it's awesome when people are interested. I know you like to go different places each time you travel, but I do hope we get to meet again someday! Who knows, maybe that family trip in 2028 if you rent both houses. :)

Fantastic stay! Very private, and the view is stunning. The property manager Sherri goes above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay. It is everything thing described! I will say, if you go in the winter months the sun never shines on the pool so it stays quite chilly. The hummingbird feeder makes the porch experience wonderful with all the hummingbirds. We had a great time!

Thanks for your kind and honest review, Stacey! You are very right about the pool. The concept when built, was for the pool to be a "garden" pool with foliage to the back that looks so pretty and inviting. Later, the original owner/builder had wished he had built it out to the front of the house more. The pool will definitely cool you off in the winter months, lol! I'm glad you enjoyed the hummingbird feeder! When full, it also attracts our local island Bananaquits as well. It's fun to watch them and the hummingbirds haggle over the feeder! Sugar is always kept in the cottage for guests to make more sugar water if needed and of course, for your own needs as well! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at Stone Cottage!

Sherri was a wonderful host and really does think of just about everything. Wait no, everything. Stone Cottage is a wonderful place of sanctuary and so close to Maegan’s and Hull Bay beaches.

My husband and I stayed here for 25th wedding anniversary. It’s hard to even know where to start on how amazing this place is. The view is absolutely gorgeous, the accommodations are top-notch and the location is great. But the thing that makes it stand out the most is Sherri. She is the perfect host. I read a lot about how wonderful she was, but was a little concerned because sometimes when people live near the property, you see them a lot. Sherri is the perfect combination of there the second you need her, but you do not see her otherwise; Which to me is perfect because on vacation and you want to be able to relax in the space and not worry about someone always watching. Sherri has done an amazing job of providing privacy, while also being there the second you need her.Everything about our stay was perfect, and I would highly suggest this precious cottage. It is absolutely the perfect couple get away!

I'm so happy that the two of you had a wonderful 25th Anniversary and you enjoyed your stay at Stone Cottage! Privacy is of utmost importance to us as well as for my guests. I do live on my own property west of the villa property which does make it nice for me to just walk over if needed. Otherwise, I am off in my own little world, ha ha! If I ever need to communicate with my guests in person, which is extremely rare, I always text or call first to make sure that it is ok with you. (that might only happen during hurricane season and if we have an impending storm as to keep you informed). I was also happy to secretly help your husband with directing him on purchasing flowers for the occasion to have there upon arrival and make a little heart of rose pedals on the bed. That's a little treat for me to be able to do! Thank you both for your kind review!

We don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with Sherri. What a fabulous host and just a beautiful person. We got so lost coming home from dinner the first night and Sherri patiently talked us home. Stone Cottage is absolutely adorable. The decor is very tropical and inviting. The bed was so comfortable. Sherri has stocked the cottage with anything and everything you could imagine. There’s a grocery store a mile away that was super convenient. We had such a wonderful week and plan on going back … If you have the opportunity, book Stone Cottage. You’ll absolutely love it!!

I want to start with you too! Big hugs right from the moment I met you both at the car rental agency! It is so awesome for me to be able to see my guests through the whole process from inquiry/booking to seeing you in the cottage to seeing you through your visit in any way that I am needed! Because your flight was delayed and it was dark when you got to the cottage, it certainly makes getting around that first night difficult, lol! If I had to, I would have gone looking for you, but you were close enough, I was able to talk you through it. I want your experience to be positive! You were ole pros after that, ha ha! You both were such a blessing and very helpful with the extra communication from me due to the passing of Hurricane Erin that was north of us, allowing me to secure the outdoor furniture in case we got some wind gusts. This Property is Amazing. Breathtaking Views, access to Beaches are minutes away. Great restaurants within minutes. The Cottage is stocked perfectly with absolutely anything and everything you need. Pool is perfect for quick cool offs. Its in great condition, safe and private location that is convenient to the airport and all parts of the island. Sherri is a wonderful host. WE LOVED IT!!!! WE WILL BE BACK!!!5 STARS... This is the best 1BR On the Entire Island.

Just what post-holiday decompression ordered!

Our 6 nights at this property were everything we expected, and more. The location is very private with spectacular vistas and quite comfortable furnishings. Our host, Sherri, was responsive to every pre-trip inquiry, with wonderful recommendations and suggestions.

Dreamy view with all yhe comfort of home

Stone Cottage is thoughtfully provisioned for you with all you need to relax, cook, snooze in a comfy bed, and enjoy St. Thomas. Host, Sherri, was kind and engaged and she had Debbie meet us so we could follow her to the north side of the island. The roads are tight with switchbacks and amazing views but we acclimated well. Moe's Fresh Market is 5 minutes away with wine, beer, hard liquor and a great selection of groceries including precooked food, great steaks and seafood plus a salad bar. The cottage is a a beautiful and comfortable retreat with resident chickens, hummingbirds, and iguanas in a lush setting.

Everything about the property was wonderful—the views, hearing the surf, the comfort of the house! Everything you needed was there or a short drive away. Sherri was wonderful and incredibly helpful. Can’t wait to make a return trip!

Paradise

This is the type of vacation rental that you look forward to coming back to relax after a day of exploring. Feels like you are staying in a beautiful treehouse up in the mountains with a beautiful view of the ocean with birds, iguanas, flowers surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The layout of the cottage was perfect for couples. Sherri was an awesome host from the beginning to the end of our stay. Definitely would rent again.

This is beautifully written, Tina. Another guest also said that they also felt like they were simply happy to hang out at the cottage just to relax and read a good book while being able to sit out in the alcove or by the pool. You certainly have a way with words! I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Stone Cottage and first time to the Caribbean!

Hi, my name is Sherri and I am the property manager for both Stone Cottage and Rockworks since 1999. I'm happy to announce that I am the manager for our owner, John Feola, who is dedicated to keeping the villas and property in tip top shape. We have been in business for 23 years now and never had an unhappy guest. Both owner and myself live here in St Thomas and are available for all of your needs 24/7. Stone Cottage is truly a get away from it all. Located in a tropical lush setting where houses are not on top of each other, our little St. John, so to speak. If you have 4wd, you can drive to a secret beach that many have never seen, it is very secluded and surely has no amenities. One of our favorite spots for sure! If you don't have 4wd, you can hike over to this beach from the rocky Dorothea beach below us, but be sure to take water and snacks. One guest calls Stone Cottage her tree-house as you are surrounded with foliage and an awesome view of Inner and Outer Brass Islands. There is peace and tranquility here!

Depending on the time of year, you may even get to sample Mangoes, coconuts, bananas, plantain, passion fruit, lemons and limes, and even avocado, but I cannot guarantee that they will always be available. We always share with our guests if they are! :)
Another benefit is that we, ourselves are available for any needs or issues you may have. We are hands on, but only if you want us to be!
