No claustrophobia here. This beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath ranch home with volume ceilings located on a large premium lot is located in the Village of Chatham equally located between Spanish Spring and Sumter Landing Town Squares. Within 5 minutes you will find Nancy Lopez Legacy Country Club/championship golf course and restaurant, 4 free executive golf courses, restaurants, a shopping center, recreation centers, a family swimming pool and an adult pool and on and on. The only thing you will need is time and a fun attitude, Southland and The Villages has everything else. Southland is an adults only property.

This beautifully furnished home is designed for fun and entertaining. In the dining & living room and both bedrooms, you will find newly installed wood laminate floors. In the living room you will enjoy two cushy leather Lazy Boy rocking swivel recliners aimed directly at a 50" flat screen Cable TV. WIFI is included. Looking to your right you will find a wraparound granite bar/counter and in the dining area a dining room table for 6 with an extension. This area flows right into the ceramic tiled kitchen where you will pleased to find everything you need right down to the crystal wine glasses. The kitchen comes complete with premium appliances including microwave, dishwasher and kitchenware to satisfy all of your culinary needs. The open concept floor plan with vaulted ceilings lends itself to the feeling of spaciousness.

The master bedroom has a new king size bed & 32' flat screen TV. Wash basins and walk in closet with double hangers lead to the ceramic tiled bathroom with shower & seat. The large second bedroom has a queen bed and desk & small TV. You will be pleased to find a larger than normal closet with double hangers. Right outside of the bedroom is the ceramic tiled bathroom with a tub/shower.

We are sure one of your favorite haunts in the morning and evenings will be the large lanai overlooking the spacious yard & open fields. A Weber gas grill is just outside.

The deep one and a half car garage houses a beautiful (and speedy) Yamaha Gas golf cart for your cruising & golfing pleasure. Also found in the garage is ample shelving, work bench and upgraded Maytag washer and dryer.

Owner is a nearby Villages resident and looks forward to helping you enjoy your stay. Maximum 4 persons. No Smoking, No Pets.

The Villages is a community for active adults 55+. All Village rules & regulations must be followed at all times. Young visitors are allowed for a limited time period.

Family activities are provided.
$50 (optional) Temporary Villages ID allowing full use of all facilities.
Nearby adult and family pools, many executive golf courses and 20 minutes from Spanish Springs and Sumter Landing squares

Great Rental!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A very clean home with all the amenities you will need including a golf cart that can be taken anywhere within this 34 square mile community. Golf, tennis, pickle ball, swimming, entertainment nightly, dozens of restaurants, all accessible by car or golf cart. The owner was extremely helpful and available. An enjoyable rental!

We had a wonderful time on Southland Ct. The home is comfortably furnished, beautiful Lanai with a view of the cattle ranch. The home is close to everything from grocery shopping, the Rec. center, golf and churches. We loved using the golf cart for our transportation. We would recommend the home for a great vacation.

Great Rental Home

Home is clean, comfortable and well maintained. Exceptional communication with owner who ensures that everything is right. As a side note prior to arrival I inquired about the type of coffee pot, drip or pod and he responded that he went out and bought a Keurig so renter has both options available. A great place to rent in The Villages.

The property was well located, well equipped and everything done by our hosts to make it feel like home. Bob and Carol were most gracious, taking the extra steps to ensure we were comfortable. Just what we needed

This was such a nice place to stay. My husband and I were in the process of moving and had to rent for about two months because we were waiting for our tenants to move out. It was a very stressful time and this place was so beautiful and quiet. It was also very reasonable since it was off season. Bob and Carol are super nice and responded quickly. We definitely recommend staying here!

A terrific Vacation Rental in The Villages

We have been renting in the Villages for nearly Twenty Years and this is a real jewel. One of the best we have ever seen. The home is spacious, beautiful, well equipped and only a few minutes from Buenos Vista Blvd. Which means you can get to anywhere in the Villages and surrounding areas conveniently and quickly. You could not ask for a better situation the owner is your next door neighbor, and he is very helpful and gracious.

THE VILLAGES GOLFERS DELIGHT

“We have just enjoyed a wonderful months holiday at this well appointed comfortable property. We slept soundly in the super king sized bed and breakfast in the lanai, the lounge, dining area, kitchen and 2nd bedroom were also more then adequately furnished with full use of the golf cart we were able to enjoy many of the leisure facilities in the locality including golf courses swimming pools shops and restaurants we look forward to returning in the future. Bob and Carol Anne live next door. We had a few problems with appliances but Bob took care of them right away. I complained about a worn rug under the table and was taken care of right away. New patio furniture delivered before we left. Wonderful location and quiet street. My husband was able to bring his boat out of storage occasionally and leave in driveway overnight. Loved the golf cart. A big bonus was Carol Anne sent homemade bread over twice!

A vacation worth taking

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this rental. From the reservation process and throughout the stay, the owners are very hospitable and very responsive. Their home has every comfort anyone would need. The setting is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while enjoying the peaceful nature of the private back yard and patio. With this home, we were a short golf cart ride (which was included) from many squares, restaurants, golf courses, pools as well as all the other amenities surrounding The Villages. We had a spectacular time and hated to leave. Speaking of the golf cart, it is gas powered so we were able to go many miles with no worries of the battery charge going down while we were out exploring.. We loved having that to get around town. We highly recommend this rental and these particular owners...the best.

Home away from home

I was, without a doubt, extremely pleased with my entire stay at Southland. The home is furnished extremely comfortably, and equipped with a fully supplied kitchen which was perfect for a baker like myself. The back patio was incredibly spacious and peaceful with a serene farm view. I was even lucky enough to catch the cows playing one afternoon. The area is littered with beautiful ponds that I was able to enjoy during my morning runs. The owners were always available and extremely helpful, and in my opinion went above and beyond the call of a landlord. The home is conveniently located just around the corner from a major shopping plaza, and with all the comforts of home right at the house, I never had to travel far. It was an absolute joy to stay in such a well cared for and "homey" rental!

Our 3 months stay.

Our property owner lives right next-door. He was very helpful during our stay. Overall things were good, but they were a few problems, which were fixed through the owner. The Washing machine needed a repair. The refrigerator was not cold enough to keep our items. Bob was very much involved in getting everything back to normal. Our trip was very nice and we enjoyed the activities. Especially the outdoor space which had lots of sun!

Great experience- highly recommend!

I stayed at Southland for 10 weeks and would have stayed all year if I could! Bob and Carol were terrific hosts and really made me feel like I was at home and part of the community. The house was clean and its location was perfect for me. I look forward to staying again in the future! I highly recommend this home.

Clean, Perfect for two fishermen and one boat. Owner was very helpful and welcoming. The house and location are clean and safe. I would stay there again if the opportunity should ever arise again.

Great Calm Location

This was our first time at the Villages and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in early December. The house was very clean and well-stocked with linens and kitchenware. The king sized bed was comfortable and the screened porch was lovely on the warm days. We could see and hear cows behind the property. This was nice as many of the properties back up just to other houses. A street map of the area was provided - a must for new visitors to the Villages! The golf cart provided a 5 minute ride to the pool. For longer trips, we drove the car and learned to manage the roundabouts. The owners live right next door and were easily accessible if we had questions. They checked in periodically, without being obtrusive, to see how things were going. A neighbor was also available. The entire community was so friendly. Even though we don't golf, we'll return as there are countless options for entertainment and shopping. The only things we'd be sure to bring next time are our steamer for the microwave and a small throw blanket for the livingroom.

The house was clean and comfortable and had everything in it that we needed for our stay. We enjoyed using and going places in the golf cart and we especially enjoyed dinners at the country clubs. Bob the owner was very nice and made sure that everything was in order and we had what we needed. We would definitely use this again for another visit to the villages.

Quiete neighborhood

The owners live next door and were very nice. The home needs a total make over. The linens and kitchen items were a hodge podge of yard sale items. The living room furniture was way to big for the small space which made it very overcrowded. The table on the lanai had a broken leg and I had to clean the lanai as it probably hadn't been swept in months. Some of the throw pillows on the lounges were moldy. The neighborhood is quiet, however.

The Villages

The house contained everything needed and was clean and bright. However, it is difficult to go from place to place unless you live there. The golf cart is a nice feature, but my wife would not drive it. I became ill and cannot give an honest assessment of our stay.

What makes Southland such a great spot is the delightful open floor plan inside and the spacious yard outside unlike most Villages homes that have neighbors completely surrounding them. The quiet cul de sac in front and the farm in the rear affords a wonderful quiet atmosphere.
