Our 2nd floor ocean front condo at Lahaina Roads is the best kept secret in Old Lahaina Town! Lahaina Roads is a direct oceanfront condominium complex nestled between Lahaina (one half mile) and Kaanapali Beach Resort (two miles).

Sitting on your lanai enjoying the soft gentle breezes you may see turtles bobbing their heads above water, whales breaching and an occasional rare Hawaiian monk seal. Enjoy the heated pool or take a few steps to the ocean and scour the beach to your heart’s content! There is a step up into the bathrooms walk-in shower/tub and commode. Bring your laptop and access the internet from anywhere in the condo. Free Parking, no Resort Fees. HI Registration #195-518-4640-01

Gloria T., Stay dates: July 31 - Aug 7, 2018: "The property was exactly as advertised. It presented a quiet, affordable place to stay in Maui, complete with full kitchen, washer and dryer. No air, so August is not a good time but they did accommodate us with a portable air conditioning unit which worked great. It is also within walking distance to Lahaina and all the shops and restaurants."

Anna S., Stay dates: June 16 to 22, 2018: “This unit is better than the photos. Tasteful decor and the whole complex is really well looked after. Lovely pool and you can watch the turtles from the wall by pool. Stunning beach 5 minute drive called Baby beach. Great snorkeling and swimming with turtles here. Lahaina shops and restaurants are a hot 20 minute walk and supermarket 10 min walk. We found having a car here really useful. There is an umbrella and one chair for the beach. Highly recommend.”

Great Sunsets and Location

You couldn't get a better location for walking into Lahaina and convenience to everything. Great views, sunsets and whale watching too. Friendly, small property. Had a great time hanging around the pool in the afternoon with the other guests and locals.

The property had beautiful grounds, a nice pool, access to the ocean. 2 minute drive to restaurants and shopping. Parking was very tight but, okay for small cars. It had everything you need to live here full time. the best part was a beautiful view.

Nice for a Short Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: if you plan to stay here for 2 or 3 nights, it's a great place to stay. the location is good and close to so many things. the furniture is cute, the view from the balcony is gorgeous, we saw many sea turtles and sunsets. the bathroom is large and spacious. some CONS...the bedroom is on the side facing the street, so if you are a light sleeper, you will hear every car or person on the road. we had a hard time sleeping. there were a few roaches found.

STAY AWAY (roaches, and rude property manager)

This isn’t livable conditions (read #4) and we are always coming back from our activities with an uneasy feeling. 1) the apt is really dirty. There was dust on top of every counter. 2) bathroom smelled of bacteria. 3) refrigerator does not work - we tried to turn it on and waited a day. 4) roaches are everywhere, especially kitchen. Ants are everywhere. There are other species of bugs, but we do not know what they are. 5) furniture is old and pretty dirty. 6) old trash was left in the room They provided an phone number where you can text with any issues. I have texted them and receive NO response. We discovered the insect problem on our second night at the property. I have called VRBO four times and was put on hold with all calls dropped/hung up. With no call back. We got connected to the property manager name Jason. There was no apology and nothing from him. He screamed on the phone roaches are to be expected on the lease agreement and he screamed “DID YOU READ THE LEASE?” Several times and they have no obligation to refund usD it seems like legal is the only thing they can fall back on and customer satisfaction mean nothing to them. He offered to refund one night out of three nights of our stay ambit we declined. We slept in the car the second night so avoid those roaches. On the third night, we got our own hotel. We are still working with vrbo on this issue. Stay away from this place at all cost. Not enough money to save you to headaches and emotional drained from rental mills.

Beautiful but many inconveniences

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arriving in Kahului we decided to go to Costco, as many people do. We also stopped at Safeway to pick up other food for the ten days ahead of us. A total of $395.00. When we got to our room we realized the refrigerator was not working. We were no told this. In stead there was a small motel size refrigerator that held very little of what we bought. The manager of Lahaina Roads who was amazing, let us use the refrigerator in the recreation room which was really for any of the quest staying there. We bought a cooler and ice, which we had to buy daily. We called Chase N Rainbows immediately and they couldn’t get any one out until Friday. We arrived on Tuesday. When he did, we were informed it could not be fixed and we would have to do with what we had. Unfortunately we had to give some of our food away before it spoiled and we had to constantly be running down to the refrigerator and back up. I believe you knew there was not a working refrigerator. Also two days in the Microwave stopped working. We also called and left a message about that. We are not fussy people and can make do the best we can but this was a quite intolerable. From making our reservations LAST year we have been made aware of all the rules. We dotted every I and crossed every T, made our payments in a timely matter. Basically the rooms were very nice and we loved our view. Under the circumstances we had to eat pretty much at our condo to use up the food. Would we stay again?.....Possibly, but when you plan and look forward to time in Hawaii for over a year this was not a great welcome. We would like some compensation but not sure what it would be. Would like to hear from you. Percentage off our next trip would not be acceptable as we don’t travel out of the main land that often.

Great condo with beautiful ocean view near Lahaina

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were looking for an inexpensive condo with an ocean view near the Old Lahaina Luau. This condo worked great as it was close to everything we wanted it to be and had a nice, well maintained pool for days we didn’t feel like getting in the ocean. The obvious trade off you make is that it is not near a sandy beach but we woke every morning to sea turtles swimming in at low tide to the rocky point just outside our window!

Perfect!

Loved my stay here in Lahaina!! It was even better than I expected!! Would recommend this to anyone! I traveled solo and I felt completely comfortable and safe during my stay! The view was mind blowing! I actually enjoyed the sunset every night from my balcony. Front row seat sunset! Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Lahaina stay

Property was not as clean as pictures showed. We showed up at 3pm to check in and condo was not clean until closer to 4pm, but Angi let us play in the pool while we were waiting. No a/c but with the breeze it is not needed. Ocean is too rough and rocky to swim in front of condo, but there is a nice beach about .5 mile away. Property manager Angi was super nice and available if you have questions. Outdoor area was nice and lahaina is only a 10 minute walk. Overall good stay!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great and the views are even better than the VRBO pictures indicate. On the downside, when we arrived at check-in time, the place had not been cleaned from last renters. we called and were told that it would be ready in an hour later, the cleaning started, so we were delayed from checking in by 2 hours. The place was cleaned on the surface as expected from a turnover cleaning, but was filthy just below the surface and in somewhat disrepair. The owners or the management company need to do a deep cleaning and maintenance of the unit. (the overall property, Lahaina Roads, seems to be extremely well cared for, so this is a review of #210). It was also a disappointment that emails to Chase N Rainbow were not returned and there was no thoughtful response to the late check in inconvenience.Would not recommend this unit.

Dreamy Location, So Close to the Ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view from the balcony and the constant sound of the waves were amazing. It was quiet, friendly, private, and just perfect for us. Parking was convenient and the property was well maintained. Everything was as pictured. The bed was comfortable. The fresh air was perfect--there's no need for air conditioning. Safeway is literally around the corner...and they have everything.

We’ll Kept Ocean View Complex

My wife and I moved from a pretty beat up place in Lahaina to this spot. We normally stayed north of Downtown past the hotels, but this was a great alternative. The shops were close, the noise was not so bad come evening, and the view was really great. The bottom units were on the second floor so everyone had a balcony. Pool was nice and right at the water. Unfortunately did not have a beach out back, but an easy walk north or south you’d fine one. We’ll be back again if they’re available.

Location! Location! Location!

Really enjoyed our stay - it was hot but the 2nd story gets a nice breeze. Appreciated the beers left in the fridge too! Cheers to anyone else staying in this sweet spot.

Perfect Maui Vacation

We fell into a holiday mode, heading to the beach early in the morning, coming back to the condo for lunch on the deck, an afternoon rest during the heat of the day, an afternoon swim in the pool, and dinner in Lahaina. Yes, we varied that a bit, but enjoyed every minute. Meeting other guests and residents at Lahaina Roads added to the ambiance and interest. We can't wait to return.
