Pool Pass @ Holiday Inn includes access to water aerobics, yoga and movie night at the pool. Bring your check-in envelope to the front desk at Holiday Inn to sign a pool waiver and obtain wristbands for access during your stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed on both sides of this house and I will say that the three bedroom side that we just stayed in was a lot nicer. It would be great to have more than one kitchen towel for a week stay but since I have already stayed before, I brought extras. The outside had been maintained a lot better since the last time we have been there as well overall, it was great. The bathrooms are updated nicely. Bathroom vanities are super small, but that’s not a dealbreaker overall fantastic time fantastic weather.!

Family weekend

We enjoyed a quiet weekend with our daughter at the beach in October. Service was excellent and the property was accurately described in the listing. It is a little older but was very comfortable and a good location for us.

Second time at Cottage By The Sea

Enjoyed staying at Cottage By The Sea for our second time. There have been some bathroom remediation since our last visit. The location is perfectly located next to one of the best beach accesses. The layout allows you to watch TV while all the deer come by to feed in the bushes behind the house. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait for a 3rd visit.

Jekyll Vacation

We have vacationed at Jekyll Island all of my life and have continued as all of our families have grown. We have stayed at varying houses. This is the second time staying at Cottage by the Sea. The last time was 11 years ago. The house has been updated some, mainly the bathrooms, but It could still use a refresh. It could also use an outside charger for red bugs and electric vehicles. In saying that, it is the best location for our family and the most convenient. Jekyll Realty is always great to deal with.

Weekend at beach

Great location,easy walk to beach and ready access to bike trails,nice views from roof top deck.Deer visit twice daily to beg for food.comfortable bed and chairs.Typical 50 yo house that needs a facelift to be a primary residence ,but perfect for a beach home

So spacious and easy access to the beach

This 3 bedroom was perfect for me and my two sons. It could easily fit 3x this many people. The back of the house was extended so that 2 of the bedrooms were larger (1 has 3 twins w/room to walk around). Nice updates. Kitchen was small but functional. Roof deck was a nice addition--only 1 within viewing distance. Couldn't see the beach b/c of the vegetation, but could see a nice chunk of the ocean.Will definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Beach Vacation

Great Vacation for our Pampered Pooch

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our dogs enjoyed another wonderful vacation at Cottage By The Sea. Their 2x/day adventures on the beach were fun to watch. Oh, we parents enjoyed our private time on the beach during the remainder of the day. Only complaint is the kitchen could be better equipped for cooking. ie: no spatulas, wooden spoons, sharp cutlery (only steak knives), or mugs for coffee (only tea cups). The stove top functionality is questionable.

The double bedroom had filthy windows with a lot of mold. Basically, all of the windows were filthy. The mattresses and pillows were awful. One bedroom had lots of sand in the floor. The mold smell was so overwhelming we left a day early.

I cleaned the entire place as soon as we arrived with Lysol, mopped the bathroom floors,cleaned most of the the baseboards since they were so dirty. Wiped down all the kitchen cabinets and fridge handle. Bathroom floors need a good scrubbing with bleach. We didn't want to take our flops off in there.The tablecloth had sticky jelly and syrup on it. We found out all the mattress pads and bed spreads are not cleaned unless the previous guests cleaned them before they checked out by 10am. They have a rule that you change them if they are soiled. If not, make the bed. Yikes!!! I didn't want to do a bunch of laundry when we just got to the beach!!I didn't want to clean a house when I finally just arrived at the beach!!!I definitely left that place way cleaner for the next guest.

Wonderful Home, Perfect Location

The beach was a short walk and when the tide rose, there were still places to walk the beach. It has the perfect location. We visit Jekyll yearly and normally stay at the Villas. But this home will be our new go-to for our Jekyll vacations. The staff were wonderful and we used the chair and umbrella services which worked perfectly. Overall l, this was the best stay we've had at Jekyll, and we cannot wait to return.

Disappointing

The beds all need replaced, you roll to the center and the pillows were flat. The bathrooms need redone, the lighting is terrible, there are no plugs to plug anything in, there's no place to set anything down, the tile in the master is coming off and the molding is moldy and dirty looking, 4 out of the 9 days there I killed baby roaches that came up in the tub from the drain, there's a big hole in the wall and behind the sink cabinet. The master bedroom needs painted. And practically none of the blinds worked. We were very disappointed with the place and it made it very hard to get ready each day for the reason we were there. I feel I should be reimbursed for part of this because this is not what was shown on the website.

Fall Break at Cottage by the Sea

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is Perfect! The house sucks!!!! Not only is this house extremely dated, it is nasty. We never unpacked any food. We stayed out of the house as much as we could. Hurricane Ian cut our trip short but we were ready to leave anyway. I had to wash ALL of our clothes when we got back because the house stunk so bad. I would never stay here again. Jekyll Island Realty should be ashamed for having this house on their rental roster.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was great, liked the deck on top and easy walk to the beach and quick drive/walk to the different beaches and restaurants. Nice and roomy with lots of gathering spaces. Would have rated higher, but there were dead cockroaches in the kitchen. and when you closed the bathroom door it was filthy behind the door. pillows were flat, glad I brought my own pillow. while we brought towels and linens, didn't think to bring bathroom rug, bathroom rugs would have been nice. The exterior could use a good power wash too. overall the place could use a good thorough deep clean.

Location is the main reason I am giving a decent review

The location of this rental was perfect for our needs. I understand that it is an older house but sometimes you absolutely need to put some money into renovations. There was dirt in every corner, especially in the back bathroom. The tile work was awful in the bathrooms. The shower dripped constantly and the window rattled all night. The shades for the sliding doors are missing panels and I felt like every time I tried to close them that they were going to break. There are only a few three prong outlets. There was rust on everything metal, I totally understand that being that close to the ocean will cause this. The sliding screen for the back door was broken and not on all the way. There wasn't a was to cover the back window of the living room, leaving you exposed to everyone who walked on the path to the beach. The lighting is very poor. The closet doors are barely hanging on. I understand that this is a rental, but it was sub par. Especially since we had to provided our own linens unless we wanted to pay an astronomical fee. A plus besides location was that the kitchen was fairly nice with new appliances. We were in on business and if we have to come back, I'm not sure that we would rent this property again.
