A great place for a family stay

It’s a great location. It’s quiet being off the street close to tons of restaurants bakeries a lot going on in the area short walk to the metro.

Everything we'd hoped for!

My husband, two adult daughters, and I enjoyed a terrific week at Annie and Remy's 10th arrondissement home. Away from the hoards of tourists, we enjoyed the diverse neighborhood with nearby shops/restaurants and easy access to all of Paris by metro. Local parks, Canal St. Martin and le Marais are all in walking distance. The home itself is a snapshot of a family that enjoys life, laughter and especially travel. You may be inspired to keep your travel bags within easy reach after your stay. The accommodations are as described; comfortable, clean, spacious and well-equipped. The inner, gated courtyard offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle beyond. As other reviewers have noted, some may find the stairs challenging, so keep that in mind when considering this rental. We would gladly stay there again. Thanks again...Harriet, Tom, Tarra and Skye

Home away from home!

We were thrilled to stay at this home in Paris. We had more than enough space and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor areas as well. The location was very convenient to the metro. Annie and Remy were very welcoming- they offered lots of advice for places to shop, eat and tour in their area. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful home in a real neighborhood

This house exceeded all our expectations! It’s a beautifully designed space with comfortable bedrooms, a nice kitchen and dining area, two sitting rooms, and a wonderful patio downstairs and sunny terrace on the second (American third) floor. Its doors and large windows open onto a shared gated space with a delightful community of neighbors and friendly cats. Outside, there are convenient brasseries and markets, but we generally ventured to more scenic areas, including the Canal St Martin and Parc Butte Chaumont … just a 10-15 minute walk. And of course you can take the subway anywhere from the Belleville metro stop right around the corner. Best of all, Annie was an outstanding host, providing great recommendations and accommodating our schedules for checking in and out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! One note: there are two and a half flights of stairs to reach the master bedroom, so the house wouldn’t be good for people who have difficulty with steps.

Fabulous Paris home and hosts

We loved Annie and Remy's home. We appreciate they shared it with us. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. We loved the courtyard. Communication from the hosts was wonderful. The neighborhood is fun with lots of great places to eat and drink. The Metro is a 3 minute walk away but also easy to walk to the Marais or Canal St. Martin. Thank you again for sharing with us!

Great property

We stayed in Annie’s lovely clean and spacious apartment for three weeks. It is in a great neighborhood with lots of local restaurants and bars. It is a large apartment with plenty of room for all of us. We loved the two outdoor patio areas. Annie recommended several great restaurants and the local market on Wednesday and Saturday was great. When we return to Paris, we will definitely stay again.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft - sehr stylisch mit Liebe zum Detail und viel Flair und super sauber. Alles nötige da! Sehr freundliche Gastgeber und Empfang. Lage sehr gut, zur Metrostation Belleville wenige Gehminuten, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants ebenfalls um die Ecke. Alles wie beschrieben und auf den Fotos. Ein toller Aufenthalt! Fabulous home in Paris

I stayed here with my husband and two adult sons, October of this year. The house is just lovely, clean, quiet, spacious, well equipped and you can just feel the love and joy of the owners and their family by looking at all of the photos and artwork throughout the home. The online photos of the home realistically reflects its true appearance. It is just a few minutes walk from the Belleville Metro station, so it was very easy to get downtown for a full day of sightseeing, then return to the quiet courtyard of the home and relax in the living room/kitchen area or out on the upstairs terrace. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and markets within easy walking distance of the home. Communication with Annie and Remy was terrific before, during and after our stay. I would recommend this home to any group for a wonderful place to call home while in Paris.

Our Paris Adventure

All of our needs were met. This is a vibrant neighborhood where the people of the 10th Arr in Paris live. The property is less than 5 minutes from the Belleville Metro Station for the #2 & #11 trains. We stayed for 7 nights. We would return. The hosts were there to greet us. They were very helpful with guide books, maps, suggestions and their prepared notes. We had no need to call upon them during our visit. We were 3 travelers in our late 70's who do not speak a word of French who felt safe and free to travel about using the apartment as our base as we left for two different day trips and finding everything for food shopping as well as one of the best Asian Dumpling Restaurant just around the corner... We would like to Thank The Hosts again for their welcoming hospitality

You couldn't ask for nicer hosts. They accommodated all of our needs and helped us with suggestions on how to enjoy our visit. The home is just lovely and absolutely made the trip enjoyable. It is in a lovely courtyard with wonderful pastry shops for coffee and pastry each morning and yet close to the Metro which allowed us to get anywhere in the city easily. The home is perfect to have friends to stay with as you have lots of room to be together and yet have privacy. I can't wait to spend time there again.

Best Place to Stay in Paris

I can not provide a high enough rating for this VRBO property and the owners. Even before we touched down in Paris, the communication from Annie and Remy was responsive and they answered any questions we had. Upon arrival, they met us and showed us around the entire property, including providing tips for our week, getting around and things to do/see in the neighborhood and city. The house is spacious and light and fit our family of five perfectly. We loved looking at all the special art and mementos collected through their travels which added even more to the charm. The location is fantastic, close to many cafe's and the weekend market is a great place to pick up fresh food. The metro stop is a short three minute walk and from there you can get anywhere you need. Don't hesitate to book here!

A wonderful house in Paris

I have stayed in many rented homes, and found this one of the very best we have ever stayed in, especially with the love and attention the owners have lavished on the place with art objects and travel mementoes. This house would suit responsible tenants, as there are many objects and personal touches. A quiet place with lots of light. Very special and highly recommended. 10 mins by metro to the centre of Paris. A real home.

Wonderful, spacious apartment. Great location.

We had an excellent experience with this property. It went beyond our expectations. We had so much room to spread out amongst four adults. The property is really beautiful and filled with art and books. It faces a beautiful courtyard filled with plants and trees, we had our own private garden. Everything we needed from kitchen supplies to washing machine, was provided. The location was excellent. Shops and restaurants were right outside the doors. Our host Annie was amazing and extremely helpful with the check in process and during our stay. Can’t recommend this highly enough . It made our stay in Paris so easy and enjoyable.

A fabulous quintessential Paris home!

The four of us (ages 23-81) loved our 7 day stay at Annie and Remy's home. The hosts were extremely warm and helpful. There was everything we needed to be comfortable! All of us commented on how comfortable the beds were - great sleeping for the 7 days. The home is 5 min from the 11 and 2 Metro, there is a wonderful local market twice a week, two supermarkets within 5 min, many restaurants within easy walking from Middle Eastern to Chinese to Vietnamese. We loved walking in off the streets, through big blue doors into the calm garden that led to about 10 multistoried homes, one of which was ours - four levels with a private roof-top garden. We also loved being in the eclectic environment of the home - evidence of lives well lived.

Beautiful and peaceful home

We, three classical musicians working for 5 weeks on an opera project in Paris, had such a wonderful and peaceful stay at Annie and Remy’s beautiful home. They were very generous hosts who were very easy to communicate with and it was a real joy to stay in their home. The space is even more beautiful and impressive than the photos would suggest and they had everything to cater for our needs. Due to our busy schedule, we were very grateful to be able to relax in such a calm and nourishing environment. The area is very interesting and varied with great places to eat, such as the local dumplings place Ravioli Nord Est as well as a very excellent vegan restaurant called Primeur- both places were frequented many times! It is a convenient location in which to reach the city centre but we also really enjoyed delving into the area as there is a lot to do and see such as the Canal St. Martin and the beautiful local Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, where one of our household went on regular runs. Thank you Annie and Remy for everything and looking forward to hopefully returning soon! Oscar, Rebecca and Victor xx

Comme à la maison!

Les proprietaires sont extremement gentils et accueillants. un des rares appartements qui ne sont pas fait pour louer mais qui est reellement vécu. On sent que l’endroit est vivant, avec tout ses bouquins, discs, films, tableaux. Quartier Tres simpas, les proprietaires donnent beaucoup de conseils interessant. Véritable "petit" bijou

Beautiful place, convenient location

The place was amazing. The pictures are 100% a reflection of reality. I would call it cozy and quiet- a great place to relax after checking out Paris for the day. Check-in and check-out process was easy. Would recommend to any group.

Great home for family trip to Paris

We, family of 6 with 4 teenagers, enjoyed our stay very much. Everyday when we returned from our tour in Paris, we found absolute silence and recreation in the wonderful green yard and the spacy and bright house. Everything was as described. Great decoration and everywhere souvenirs of a warm french family life. We loved this great atmosphere in the house. The contact with the hosts was warm and always supporting thank you!. We will come again :-)

Magnifique!

We loved our stay at Anne and Remy's place. It was a great place to stay. Close to the Metro in a diverse and vibrant neighborhood, it was quiet and comfortable place for our family with all the necessary amenities. Anne gave us a great tour of the place when we arrived and was very accessible. She made some suggestions to restaurants and parks, which were also helpful. We would recommend it to anyone! Wonderful!

The hosts, Annie and Remy, are delightful. On arrival they provided all sorts of helpful information about the house and the neighborhood. The house is very spacious and comfortable with wonderful photographs on the walls. The kitchen is terrific and well equipped. What makes this house very special is how quiet and tranquil it is. It faces onto a courtyard which is its own mini-neighborhood. There is a real sense of community among the neighbors, which includes some delightful young families. The house has tables in the courtyard that are surrounded by many nice plantings that provide privacy. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. You would think you are in the country – rather amazing! We really enjoyed the neighborhood. There are many great restaurants within walking distance, and the Metro is a short walk from the house, making it very convenient to visit all of Paris. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there is a fabulous farmer’s market close by. This is a great place with wonderful hosts!

Phantastischer Familienurlaub

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche mit der ganzen Familie inklusive Oma und Kinder. Die Wohnung hat eine gute Lage, man ist schnell bei der nächsten Metrostation und somit unkompliziert im Zentrum bei all den Sehenswürdigkeiten. In der Nähe gibt es einen wunderschönen Park, Supermärkte, Bäcker, etc.. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr schön, ruhig mit traumhaftem Innenhof. Ich kann den Aufenthalt hier zu 100% empfehlen und gebe gerne 5 Sterne - jederzeit wieder!

beaucoup de la place, calme, en soleil, vert et l`ambiance exeptionel

Accueil amical et dites adieu par Remy et Anni. L`appartement ètait tres comfortable mais il faut etre capable de monter plusiers marches jusqu`un haut ou se trouve la derniere chambre avec le solarium (terrasse). Mais toutes les chambres sont très belles, plein des peintures et vraiment plein des photos. Naturellement l`appartement est équipé des tous qu`il faut. On a passer une très bonne semaine ici et volontiers nous voulons revenir. Merci à Anni et Remy.

Amazing place

This is a marvellous property, where four of us (all retired people) spent three weeks in October 2018. We were one couple and two singles, with the singles using the two bedrooms and sharing the bathroom on one level, and the couple occupying the en-suite bedroom on the top level. This was ideal for us, without feeling crowded. The property is set within a complex of apartment houses all facing a beautifully green internal courtyard. It was very friendly, quiet and secure, in a bustling and culturally very diverse neighbourhood. The owners, Annie and Rémy, were there to greet us when we arrived, and very helpful in explaining where things were and how things worked. They were charming. The apartment is on multiple levels with staircases, and was exactly as described and pictured on the website. We had all the facilities we needed, and no major problems during our stay. I have no hesitation in recommending Annie and Remy’s property - we had a lovely time!
