Great location

I needed a 2 BR location to work from remotely in the PD/PS area. This unit was ideal for my needs, had covered parking, great common area amenities, comfortable furniture and beds, updated kitchen that was well-furnished, the world's greatest ice maker, solid climate control options, easy to find, great location, and a terrific owner/manager who was easy to reach. I'd happily stay here again.

Disappointing stay

We had a disappointing stay at this unit. On arrival, we noticed a stale odor partially masked by the smell of cleaning products and a general lack of cleanliness. Floors were dirty and kitchen cupboards had grimy handprints around each handle. We called the Host. He came over right away. He called his cleaner who came over and did a brief surface cleaning. The unit has not been thoroughly cleaned for a long time. All of the A/C vents are filthy. Floor behind the washer and dryer is thick with dirt. A/C worked well although the main unit is very noisy. Weather stripping missing from around front door which allowed sand and dust to blow in. Had to sweep up the dust and sand a couple of times a day. Screen door to patio not working on arrival. Workers took it away to repair - returned with it on a Friday but it had a broken wheel so they went away and said they would return Monday. They didn't. There was no kettle. Host offered to give us money to buy one but we declined. Pots and pans were greasy and toaster was full of crumbs so we didn't use them. Purchased a kettle, toaster & 2 frying pans which we gave to the residents of the unit next door upon checking out. Unit has a nice floor plan. Renos were done several years ago and show high wear and tear for their age. Back patio has been replaced with nice paving stones and decent furniture but smell of dog feces from yard of unit backing onto our patio was awful. Probably explains the overabundance of flies.

The property manager was amazing. Very responsive and pleasant. The location of the property is very very good. We had several guests visit and everybody was comfortable and enjoyed the location.

Wonderful condo- perfect stay

Condo is exactly as described. Host is very accessible & communicative for any & all questions. Air ice cold Beautiful countertops Great patio with the most perfect gazebo 2 parking spots directly in front of unit. Comfortable Master suit with walk-in closet Roku tvs in bedrooms & living room We truly enjoyed our stay.

Super stay!

There is not one thing negative to say about the property. Everything we needed as a resident for a month was there. The unit was exceptionally well stocked in kitchen and had everything we needed for cooking and food prep.

Palm Desert Get Away

A great property in a great location. We made the 8 minute drive to El Paseo several times.

Loved the privacy and overall condition of the property. Kristian was great to deal with and very responsive. A couple of chaise loungers on the back patio would be a nice addition!

Palm Lake Stay

Because of the Corona virus situation, we left CA a week earlier than planned. Our owner, Kristian, was wonderful. He was responsive, kind, and considerate during this crisis. He made sure we had all that we needed while staying at his home.

Good location in a nice community

We enjoyed the month of February in this unit. Its a perfectly nice unit and the location can't be beat. We followed up on the comments of previous tenants regarding cookware and the owner was very prompt in supplying new pots and pans. There were a few opportunities for some improvement. We didn't really receive any information on how to check in to the unit. Fortunately we had the contact info for the owner and were able to enter the unit, but the info beforehand would have been nice. The unit still needed a really good deep clean as mentioned by the prior renters. We spent some time wiping down surfaces and scrubbing the floors as that had not really been done well after the last folks left. The new furniture was very nice, however we had booked based on the unit being able to sleep 6, but with the new furniture the fold out bed was no longer available. The owner did supply an inflatable queen size bed once we pointed out the discrepancy, which bed went into the living room, but just be aware the unit is best for 2 to 4 people. Would we rent it again? Yes. The location is wonderful, the beds were comfortable, its quiet.

Very responsive owners. Great location for us. Quiet, safe, dog-friendly complex with amenities that we used. Great to have a washer/dryer on site. Beds and bedding are nice. Kitchen and baths have been updated. They are amply supplied. Room for improvement...Many kitchen pots need to be replaced; the non-stick coating is shredded. Wasteful and frustrating hot water heating system. Very difficult glass slider to patio. Cute but uncomfortable dining chairs. Many cleaning supplies on hand - some too old to be useful (brooms & vacuum for example). Unit could use an overall "deep cleaning" (Master and Guest bathroom exhaust fan covers, Master shower grout and baseboards for example).

Quiet stay, centrally located. Very secure gated community with a very private back yard. Pool was lovely but unused because of heating issues. Tennis courts were always available for use.

We enjoyed our month long stay at this property. The beds and pillows were great with nice linens. Has all the amenities insuite or in the complex. A TV in all rooms was a nice feature. Owners were very helpful if we needed anything.

Terrific weather, friends, golf and hiking.

Condo was neat, clean and well located. Assistant Teri was very helpful with any questions or requests. Some getting used to hot water system which took 5-10 minutes for hot water to get to shower and sometimes needed to be restarted. Kitchen could use more items such as fruit bowl, chip bowl, baking pan./roasting pan. However everything worked well in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable, laundry was easy to use and we appreciated having laundry soap on hand.

Extraordinary hospitality, lovely modern condo, great location!

Kristian, my husband and I thank you for letting us stay at your Palm Lake condo. It is in the perfect location to take advantage of all that the Palm Desert area has going on. Your hospitality was extraordinary! You met all of our needs including the special requests that accommodated my husband's health issues. The beautiful tile and contemporary furnishings throughout made the condo a wonderful place to call home for 2 winter months. It is obvious that a great thought and effort went into the remodel and updating. Large master bedroom and nice baths. Fabulous beds and high end bedding are a special bonus! Enjoyed the Palm Lake pools, other amenities, beautiful grounds, and helpful front gate staff. Thanks to your assistant, Terri, also. She was abundantly helpful! We will be sure to recommend your condo to friends and family!

Very nice complex!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this property. We loved that it was pet friendly and that it had a nice private back yard for our pups to play. We got the morning sun and it was nice and shaded in the afternoon. The owner was very co-operative.
