The enormous main level offers one of the best great rooms in all of the Beachwalk Resort. Open room consisting of your living area with flat screen TV and double sided indoor/outdoor fireplace, dining area with seating at the table for 8, and kitchen area with extra bar seating for 6 if needed with a built-in wine cooler.

OUTDOOR GATHERING SPACE
Build a fire in the fireplace and enjoy while relaxing on the screened in porch. Just think, a fire outside without the bugs!

Professionally managed means peace of mind during your stay. Front desk associates, housekeeping and maintenance staff are nearby should you need anything during your stay. It’s your vacation, we are here to ensure you enjoy it.

RESORT AMENITIES AND INFO * indicates a seasonal amenity.
4ft heated pool*, toddler pool, basketball court*, tennis court, bocce ball court, shuffleboard, Sandcastle playground, putting green, paddle boarding and kayaking*, catch and release fishing. Parking Passes ($5 each) and Wristbands ($15 each) are required for all guests ages 4 and up mid-May through September.

Bob's Boathouse rents with a 7-night minimum with check-in and check-out on Friday during peak season (mid-June to mid-August).

Great house and location

This was our second time staying at the Beachwalk resort. The house is in a great location, very clean and exactly as pictured. Having the management office across the street was also super convenient for check-in. We will definitely be back!

A Week At Bob's Boat House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family (7 adults and 9 kids 8 and under) had a great time. The pool was right across the road and the beach was a short walk. The staff were wonderful at check in and responded quickly to any questions we had. Each family had their own area and the living room/kitchen area was big enough for us all to gather. We would for sure go back.

The house itself could use a good cleaning in regards to the walls, cabinets, etc. the floors and the house itself were clean for our stay. The house could use some updating as well as the crib and high chair that were supplied. The very upper level with the twin beds was cute but only practical for older kids or an adult .

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The main living and eating space was a great place to gather with plenty of room for all. The property had plenty of dishes/utensils. The location was the best, as it was right in the center of all the amenities with quick access to the beach (our main goal) without need of a golf cart. While the house is somewhat dated in stye, it's function really met our needs. Bed comfort (mattress) is important to us so this may need some help for few rooms. It had 2 wagons to carry things to the beach and a nice yard to manage all our extras. Screened in porch was nice to use as well. Take heed to the instructions on your welcome email. If you stay for a week, you will most likely need more of the necessities as it clearly states. We did bring 3 bikes and it was very easy to ride around the area. Overall the place was great for us and we would consider staying here in the future.

Great location/rental for family of 14!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We choose Michigan City because it is close to Lake Michigan, our grandchildren (ages 3-10) love the beach and the waves! Our immediate family (4 families) live in Central Wisconsin, Madison, WI area and Northville, MI so we choose this location because it is somewhat centrally located for us. This is our 3rd year at Beachwalk Rentals and Bob's Boathouse is probably our favorite location and the lay-out of the house was very suitable for our family. Close to everything....the beach, the pool, the playground, the pickleball courts, the new ice cream building, the splashpad, and the registration desk. Overall a great 4+ days! Suggestions to the property owners would be please provide more rugs for entrance and bathrooms and more towels!

Functional but needs some love

This house had pros and cons, I’ll start with the pros:Pros:* the location of this house is excellent. It’s very easily the biggest selling feature as the house is in the middle of all the amenities. My family really enjoyed being able to cross the street for the pool, club house, and both lakes. * We easily slept 14 people here. We had a total of 5 individual families and we were each able to have our own space to sleep. * The large open layout of the kitchen/living/dining area was really nice as well. This was an area we used quite a bit. * The management office was very nice and helpful with all of our questions throughout the week. Cons:* This house needs a DEEP cleaning. After just a day here, the bottoms of our feet were black from walking in the house. * It’s evident that the owners didn’t take comfort into mind when choosing furniture and rather chose the cheapest items they could find. The beds, couches and chairs are very uncomfortable. * For a house that sleeps 14, it does not seat more than 5-6 in the living room. In the evenings when we’d want to relax and spend some time at the house, most were stuck sitting at the counter or going to their bedroom to sit. Those bedrooms didn’t have any comfortable seating options and there are no televisions in the bedrooms for those who’d prefer to watch something rather than read. * An outdoor space would be an excellent addition to this house too. A small area out front with a fire pit and a few chairs could easily be added instead of the weeds growing in the dirt. This house needs some love. It’s overall functional and served its purpose for the week, but it appears the owners don’t much care about the house and its guests. I’m not entirely sure I’d stay here again without some MAJOR updates.

Was unfortunate to get into property to find the thermostats were all programmed to be set at 49 degrees. Took until late evening for the house to warm up to acceptable levels. House was clean but starting to show lots of wear and tear. Carpeting upstairs had many stains throughout and dish washer was not cleaning dishes very well even with rinsing prior to loading. Wine/beverage cooler in kitchen also did not work. Given the size of the house, more plates and bowls would be a nice touch as well.

Great place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I booked Bob’s Boathouse for a family gathering. Other relatives rented other houses on the resort property. We went in October and the resort really didn’t have much to offer in terms of activities. The rental itself was as described in the listing. There were quite a few maintenance-type issues (I.e. screen door didn’t slide well, cracked toilet seat). These issues were not disruptive to our stay and were reported on checking out. Note that none of the houses my group had were mobility friendly. All had steps and Bob’s Boathouse had no railings. The space was great and the resort was located close to a lot of area attractions.

Great Labor Day weekend stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sixteen of our family members stayed for 5 nights over Labor Day weekend. This is our fourth visit to Beachwalk. It's wonderful having a beach community right here in the Midwest! Everyone loved the location of the house . . . closer to the beach than we've ever been and right across the street from all of the wonderful new resort activities. The house doesn't come with a golf cart, which adds so much to the fun of staying at Beachwalk; so we rented one from Lancam. The house itself was spacious, clean, and well-stocked, with a good ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms; and the bedrooms were all nice and big. The huge great room (LR, DR, and kitchen all in one) gave us a fantastic place to hang out. Definitely a 5-star vacation!!

Staff friendly :)Unfortunately we will not stay here again though for many reasons - the kitchen was not well stocked and it was very dirty - mold in the dishwasher we had to clean out and lots of food crumbs and dried liquid around the trash and recycle area. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Living room furniture was stained so we covered them with blankets. Carpets dirty so we wore shoes inside.

The house was perfectly located near the pool, Lake Kai, cafe and playground and a short walk to Lake Michigan. The house needs a good cleaning, especially the floor and some repairs. The cabinet where the trash cans were kept was very dirty and hard to access. The basement smelled bad, maybe mold. However, we did enjoy our stay and would rent again.

Weather didnt totally cooperate but it didnt stop my 7 grandkids from totally enjoy their week. I love the feel of BBH beause of the very open first floor. We are never crowded or falling over each other. A plus is that every bedroom has its own private bathroom. See you next year.

Our feet were filthy. When opening some windows we saw that the ledges were green. Carpet and couches were in need of after too. I pulled out a ridge d fry pan which was covered in solidified grease. There were broken beach floats under the side stairs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our New Years Eve stay was very enjoyable. The house is as described and fit our family perfectly. I didn't remember on the house description but there is a loft with 2 twins and a basement (not really finished) with a ping pong table. The management company was fantastic - there was not a BBQ grill, so we called and one was delivered. We will definitely rent again, hopefully the summer!
