Rick and his wife were such great hosts!! Check in was easy, the place was so clean and nicely appointed. The views were gorgeous. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was so quiet and very peaceful. Check in was a breeze. Hot tub was a great amenity that we used on night two.

Home was lovely just as pictured. Comfy beds, beautiful view, close drive to beach and activities. Love the pool and community. Very safe for kids to ride bikes. In house laundry a huge plus. Rick was very responsive and extremely kind and helpful!

Assateague Getaway

We canā€™t say enough about this property. It was perfect for us. It was the 1st time staying here we will definitely be back. Great location, loved the neighborhood. House was just what we needed and as described. Rick was a great host and enjoyed speaking with him. So glad we found this little place of paradise.

Perfect vacay

We had an amazing time. The location is perfect to enjoy "beach life" weather you are looking for the sights and sounds of OC boardwalk or a less packed Assateague; its all within a short drive. The property owner was AMAZING and the hospitality we received from them can not be expressed in words.

Cozy beach home with amazing views

Very clean and cozy beach home with amazing views of the bay. Was in a very quiet, gated community with extra amenities available for use. It is close to all the local attractions, but provides the peace and quiet for a truly relaxing experience. My famly and I truly enjoyed our vacation.

SUMMER VACATION 2023

Wonderful Vacation! This home was very clean, and welcoming. Kitchen was stocked as well as the bathroom for all your needs. I especially loved the view off the patio and the gliders were a nice touch...so relaxing. Our host Richard was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

The place was fabulous. The owner is very nice. It was much better than I had hoped. The location is close to Assateague State Park and Ocean City. There were plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. LOVED IT!!! I can't wait to return.

Great Location

We totally enjoyed our stay at the beach house. The view is fantastic. Got up early and watched the "serious" boaters and fisherman. Very private and relaxing atmosphere. We have stayed in Assateaque Point for the past 13 years. First time at this beach house. Now this is our favorite!

Words are not enough...

...to describe this property. It is set up for total relaxation. From the ease of working with Rick to the multiple recliners to the gliding Adirondac chairs on the patio to the hot tub - all work together to allow one to let down. Then there's the view of the bay from both outside and then from the bay windows and patio doors. Amazing. Sailboats floating, egrets feeding near shore, sun and moonrises reflecting off the bay. The location within the community is quiet and the patio fence allows for privacy. For one or two couples, this property cant be beat.

Discrepancy with owner over possible bedbug problem

The house was very nice with a great view until two of our party developed strange bites on various portions of our bodies. After researching and investigating, we took note that mattresses were encased and there was bedbug spray under the sink. Owner denies knowledge of problem. Doctors confirmed bites. We are now home trying to get two households in order without getting our own infestations. On the second day of our return, another of our party showed evidence of bites. (Symptoms can occur up to 14 days after exposure) We have many personal e-mails requesting owner not rent until problem resolved. We did request some recompense for ruination of half of vacation plus extra expenses. (We are now encasing our own mattresses, discarding suitcases, having car cleaned) Owner is upset, as are we. No one plans these things, but others should not have to face them if there is evidence. We feel evidence is compelling, bites are painful, possible infestation very scary. Would like some mediation from HomeAway with owner if possible. Thank you, Maura A.

Wonderful stay

Iā€™ve stay at Assatugue pointe for many years and have family who own in the community . This by far is my favorite place . The view is wonderful and even with the heat of July there was always a nice breeze on the patio. Inside is very comfortable and clean. We also loved having a hot tub to relax in . Richard was very responsive when we had questions . We look forward to returning soon .

Great Little House

Nice, quiet neighborhood. Home was nice and clean. Beautiful views in the backyard. Super close to Assateague for us to get on the OSV beach quickly. Rick was easy to deal with. Would definitely stay here again!

The perfect getaway

Had an absolutely perfect weekend getaway at this house. Everything we could have wanted and more! The views were out of this world - it was so peaceful waking up and watching the birds each morning. Furnishings were great - very comfortable beds and living room furniture, and we basically lived on the outdoor rocking chairs and in the hot tub. Rick was wonderful to rent from - great communication. The house is stocked with everything you could need, and the shed has beach chairs and a really nice beach cart that we took advantage of. Loved fishing and crabbing on the pier. Amazing house, breathtaking views, and a fantastic host!!!

Magical cozy cottage where you see eagles fly & egrets dip into a glimmering marsh from your window

I don't think we've ever felt more welcome and comfortable. The cottage/house is well appointed and melds modernity (most comfortable bed ever) with beachy charm. Very quiet when we visited in October. The view of the shimmering marshlands out back is reason alone to stay there, and we never wanted to leave...A daily walk on a long pier to watch nature was one of our favorite things to do. Health food store not too far away and there is a Mermaid Museum to visit! And Rick is the best and most gracious host in the world!
