Surf Side Shores #1404 is an interior gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 4th floor in building I overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 820 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. There are 2 full baths with either a tub/shower combo or stand-alone shower. The gulf-side master bathroom is accessed via the bedroom and hallway. The street-side bedroom has an attached bathroom with a stand-up shower. King, King, Sofa Sleeper Sleeps 6.

Surf Side Shores I and II are 9 story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Surf Side Shores has two beach side pools, one of which is an extended season pool. The property also has a grilling area that services both buildings I and II. 2 car limit. Stays longer than 30 days must purchase parking pass(s) for every month.

STAY AND PLAY
This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo, and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was great. The manual can opener did not work so we had to buy one, we ended up throwing it away as it broke. I t was hard to remove items from the oven as there were no potholders in the kitchen. Also an extra kitchen garbage bag would have been nice.

Summer Vacation

The condo was amazing and had everything we needed. We were close to the pool and ocean and the view from our room was amazing. We will definitely be back.

I felt that the unit was clean just old and a bit worn.

Gulf Shores Stay

Check in process is quick and easy, however for the price of the unit there was 1/2 roll of toilet paper in one bathroom, 1 roll in the other bathroom for 4 people, they do not supply extra toilet paper or trash bags, who carries trash bags and toilet paper on vacation with them?! The room smelled of musk (old smell), tile around the tub is coming off and rotten behind the tile. The refrigerator was very clean and smelled of bleach which is a plus. There were no stay and play package given nor discounted tickets as described in the booking. The washer and dryer is very convenient in the unit. The tv in the guest bedroom was not working and they were quick and efficient in replacing it, very good on that part.

Great location and view!

Excellent location and view is amazing! The only negatives I would mention were the floors were a bit dirty and there were a few things in the unit that looked like they could use a deep cleaning. Also our neighbors were pretty loud at night. But overall the pluses outweighed the negatives. Would stay here again.

Dirty, could not use the kitchen table, except to set our luggage on. Really needs to be updated. I’m surprised that Gulf Shores Rentals advertised this condo.!

Wonderful Trip

Our family had a wonderful trip. The weather was perfect.We went Deep Sea Fishing and Dolphin Cruising. The white sand was gorgeous! The water and the waves were perfect! We will be looking forward to coming back next summer.back next year

Great stay!

Beautiful view of the beach. Chairs & umbrella rentals available on the beach. Great pool! Safe area. The condo shows some wear & tear, but was perfect for us!

End of May stay!

PERFECT location in relation to the beach and pool. Multiple grills by the pool… enjoyed grilling out while watching the sunset on the beach and then jumping in the pool afterwards. Easy/ nice ramp down to the beach. Great experience!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, love renting from Gulf Shores Rentals, but I will not rent this unit or condo building again. GSR is not to blame. It's the builder, the owner, and the cleaners . When we first arrived we could feel the sand on the floor in the condo. We would walk on the tile floor barefoot and our feet would be very dirty. We used the vacuum but couldn't find a mop. There was a piece of wall mirror that had come unglued lying on the floor (not broken). The biggest issue was when the condo next door took a shower. They're drain was connected to our drain. It was so loud you'd think they were in our condo. The place needs painting, baseboard coming loose. Walls are so thin we would get woke up during the night by the person in the next condo snoring. We told GSR about the floor and the mirror, but told them we'd deal with it. The location is perfect. The building and condo need a lot of work. I'll rent from GSR again, but not at Surfside Condos.

Surf side shores

The stay was fine - we had beautiful weather. The condo was just okay - we booked this one for the King-size beds but they really made the rooms very small. The tile floors were extremely dirty. The Washing machine and dishwasher were extremely noisy to run. The money paid for the extras- especially the golf was not worth it . The guys ended up getting their money back on the golfing. The course was awful!!

Daily dolphin show

Property was clean, could use some updating. More hooks on walls and less decorations. Could replace towels. They were rough and less absorbent. Brown dishes and cups had lead in them so cups got very hot in microwave. Could use more small spoons. The patio was great! We had a fun time watching dolphins and pelicans. Area restaurants had delicious fresh fish! Loved Lauria’s food and margaritas! Amazing pulled chicken at Hog Wild Beach and BBQ.

Beach trip

We loved that the size of the property. There weren't too many people. The proximity to the beach was excellent and the area was not too crowded. The condo itself was attractive and comfortable, but did show some wear. All in all, it was a wonderful place to stay and we would love to return.

No problems! Average stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a just fine stay at Surf Side Shores 1404! Upon arrival, our room was hot and had a minor smell. After locating the thermostat and getting some airflow, the temperature and smell both improved. Speaking positively, the mattresses were super soft/comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, we had a nice balcony and amenities. One complaint would be that our master closet was filled with random decor, baskets, and the ironing board so I could not unpack into there. We also took the stairs a couple of times due to the elevator being occupied. But overall, we had a nice stay with no big issues!

Family vacation

Had a wonderful stay, condo was great as listed, wished we known no canopies were allowed in condo within the condo property before arriving that the rental chairs took precedent, we had to leave and purchase additional umbrellas to protect our children from sun. Will not stay again because of the rental monopoly, Although it states no smoking on balconies, that doesn't stop the illegal smoking of weed that made me and my kids nauseous when at the pool. Did not see any management on property to handle any issues. Balcony light was broken and they really need to check batteries for remotes. We were stuck in condo due to weather and batteries were dead and due to tornado warning did not want to leave just for batteries. Everything else was great. Elevators worked, view was awesome.
