Black Hills Paradise 5BR Spacious Getaway Home Close to Deadwood

Welcome to Pillar Peak, your home-away-from-home when on your Black Hills vacation! Located just a short 3 miles East of Deadwood off Hwy 14, this cabin offers great proximity to snowmobile and ATV trails, as well as an abundance of hiking/biking options nearby. Within minutes you can be in Deadwood enjoying the history of the mining town and libations at the local bars/restaurants. Being on all paved roads, it's great for crews on motorcycles and is in the perfect location in the Northern Black Hills to start your adventure. Within 10 minutes you can be in Sturgis enjoying the Sturgis rally or just taking in the the sites. Head 15 minutes South of Deadwood and you can be in Spearfish Canyon cruising the winding road, trout fishing in the mountain streams, or rock climbing and hiking the local waterfalls! In the winter, you can be skiing/snowboarding at Mystic Miner or Terry Peak within 15 minutes after your stop for coffee in Deadwood. Want to see Mount Rushmore, Keystone, and Custer State park? Just head down Hwy 385 and you can be enjoying these wonderful sites in less than an hour!

After all your daily adventures, you will enjoy coming home to your 4,300 sq. ft. home with a floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace. Large enough for up to 17 guests, but plenty of room for each of you to spread out while enjoying some foosball, large flat-screen TVs with a Wii entertainment system and satellite TV, as well a kids play area. The gourmet kitchen with island has plenty of room for everyone in your group along with a nice walk out to the deck area where you can listen to the breeze and view wildlife right from your home! The master bedroom has a king bed with a jacuzzi tub and a TV on the main level as well!

You'll also enjoy the wet bar with your comrades, and a walk out to the lower patio. Stay connected with the internet at the home and there's also a child's high chair and play pen for traveling convenience. Don't forget about the large garage along with plenty of parking spaces for your trailers and toys you can't wait to enjoy while in the Black Hills! Great get away!

Located in a wooded area just outside Deadwood, this home was perfect for our group of ten. The home had ample space and was stocked with more cooking supplies than we needed or used. The management team was friendly and responsive to our questions/concerns. Th large parking area and garage accommodated three trailers, five motorcycles and three pickups.

Beautiful home, extremely clean. We had a large group, with multiple couples. The layout allowed everyone to have their own space and bathroom. Never felt likenwe were on top of one another. The garage was nice for our motorcycles. All paved roads to main roads.

Golf Trip

This was a great location for our annual weekend Golf Trip. Perfect for hitting numerous golf courses. Had plenty of room for our large group. Clean and comfortable!!! Would recommend.

Friends and family sxs trip

Stayed for 4 nights for a quick sxs trip with friends and family there were 4 families with 11 total people there was plenty of room for people to spread out and have their own space. The home is amazing and served us well. There was also plenty of parking for four trucks and trailers. Highly recommend this place.

Family - Trails Trip

The house was very nice...very well stocked and equipped with all needs. Plenty of space for everyone and then some! Close to Deadwood and trails! Easy to get to - just know the house has been shingled and is no longer a red tin roof :)

Together but separate

The house is organized so each of our separate families had their own areas. Each family had their own bathroom. The main area upstairs was perfect for everyone gathering together.

The bedrooms are separated from each other which makes it feel more private. We really enjoyed the cabin and spent the majority of our time on the main floor in a circle in front of the fireplace.We would definitely rent this property again.

Very roomy

The house was great, very roomy and lots of places to sleep! Overall the room’s were clean and beds were decent to sleep in. The jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom was great!! The only complaint I have about the property is that the grill was nasty, if I would’ve known that, I would’ve brought my own. The location is great, super close to Deadwood and made it a very convenient and easy drive! The neighbors are pretty close by for my liking I was hoping for a place distant from others but it wasn’t terrible. Overall was a great experience and we’re already talking about staying here again next year.

Great property

We had an incredible time in this lovely property, lots of space for our extended family. However, it would be helpful to know that we would have to supply our own dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, and paper towels. There was hardly any of these stocked and we even had light bulbs that were out. For the cost, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be fully stocked. Otherwise it was great!

Very accommodating home.

This was a beautiful home that accommodated our 16 people wonderfully. There was lots of room to spread out the different age groups of our family. The deck was a great place to hang out in the evenings. Our only issue because it was quite hot was keeping the temperature regulated. The upper levels were quite warm and the ones in the basement were freezing. A few things to put in the house are tissues ( not one box in the house). A couple cleaning supplies. Had a couple spills and nothing to clean them up with except dish soap. Otherwise a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood!

Big Family Vacation

We left pillar peak and completed the to do list before departure. However the thermostat could not be set to “heat @ 55” because it required a code. So we turned it to cool @ 68. Also, I just want to let you know a couple of things we came into just so you are aware: The Wii doesn’t work, some of the games are missing pieces so they could not be played, the jet tub was unusable bc I tried to clean it to use it and the water was horrible colored and there were bugs and black funk coming out of the jets and it stunk, the floor under the kitchen trash can had a nasty sticky spill (we cleaned it up), the rug by the back door to the deck needs replaced bc the bottom it flaking off and making a mess on the floor (we swept it up but it keeps flaking, that door sticks making the door difficult to open and close, we ran out of almost all toilet paper and all trash bags in kitchen. The home and grounds are beautiful! We really enjoyed the home and the family time we were able to have there. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and all the appliances we used worked great (we didn’t use the dishwasher), and the kids/cousins had a blast playing both inside and out. The location is fantastic and we were able to go to many great places around the area to create many great memories with our family. For that, we cannot thank you enough. Time is precious and we happened to leave on my dad’s 72nd birthday and he loved this trip we organized for him and mom. I will cherish

It was a perfect place as we all had our own bathroom to get ready in for each day's adventures in the beautiful Black Hills. The basement was a great place for a young family as it gave them a quiet area to get little ones down early. This home was incredibly clean and the views were beautiful.
