Disappointed 😞

Needs updating. No parking passes. We got a parking warning. There were still wet clothes in dryer. Dried food on the table. Floors weren't swept good. Frog tape was on the entry door. The owner was nice though. Beach and pool were amazing. Would not stay in that unit again.

Great location to the beach & the hangout. We loved Bahama Bobs, the food was amazing!

The condo was nice & clean. It could use some updating (carpet, sliding glass door-a little janky) the master bedroom mattress was a back breaker but overall we had a great time. We had everything we needed. We rented 3 units, 13 people total.

Great location on the beach. Other than beach and water activities not much else to see or do. Restaurants terrible busy, crowded and over priced. Pool was nice and kept very clean.

Wonderful family complex

We love staying at Gulfside Townhomes. Short walk to the beach and a pool if you prefer. It is very family friendly and a low key complex. We had an issue with the AC when we arrived but the owner was very respondent to our needs and the air was fixed promptly. This is our 2nd year staying here. We will definitely book here in the future.

Great Family Vacation

This property was perfect for our family. The pool and beach are literally only steps away from the unit. The townhouse was clean, updated and had everything you would need. Elizabeth was great to work with and we would definitely stay here again

We had a wonderful experience! Elizabeth was helpful and easy to contact. The views are fantastic. The Condo was clean and very welcoming! Next time we go to Gulf shores we plan to stay here again!

Disappointed, but nice location.

Upon our arrival I was disappointed with the quality of the condo. It was much older and dated than what I anticipated by looking at the pictures. The couch in the living space is very old and has no support, there is actually plywood under the cushions which does not help at all. The owner did say (after our stay) that "she purchased one in January but just hasn't had it delivered yet". Also, upon entering there seems to be a very musty smell through the whole unit as well. There was also a definitely lack in cleanliness of this unit. There were crumbs in the kitchen, hair on the walls of the bathroom and I had to rewash all the bedding in the master unit. After I pulled the comforter back it didn't look like the sheets were clean. I removed them to find crumbs and debris on top of the mattress pad, gross. The master bath seems to have been nicely upgraded with a new shower but on our last night there there was a streaming leak through the vent from the rain. We had to use trash bins and empty them throughout the night. The leak continued into the second bedroom vent the next day. While the owner did call a roofing company, their temporary fix did not hold and it continued through the night. I wonder if the upgrade is because of continual water damage with the roof. I also feel the smell may be because of mold, which makes me nervous. There was a significant temperature difference between the downstairs, freezing, and the upstairs. Additionally, there are no towel bars or hooks in any of the bathrooms which leaves you no where to hang your towels to air dry. This seems very odd. May want to consider adding these for guests. A nice deep clean every few weeks would also be suggested the unit is very dirty. The location of the unit is great, just quick walk out to the beach. The two beach chairs at the unit were nice to have and even though the pool was cold the pool area was decent. They unit is also nicely located, close enough to walk to shops but far enough away from the main intersection.

We love Gulfside TH! Great location and you don't have to fight for a spot on the beach.

Only giving 4 stars because...1- the sliding doors have seen their better days... 2- the downstairs never cools completely and the upstairs is freezing (it is like this in all 3 units we've stayed in, not just this one)... -3 the front door is not safe for toddler's who can pull down on the handle, it opens right up to a steep stairwell that leads to the street. We had no way to keep her inside except to bar the door with a case of water. Plenty of linens, towels, kitchen utensils, dishes and storage. Brand new kitchen appliances! New showers in both updated bathrooms. Decorated beautifully!

We love Gulfside!

We’ve stayed at Gulfside six times now and love it every time. This property has the best overall decorative touch and amenities compared to the other four units we’ve been in. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and we really enjoyed staying here.

Nice unit and easy walk to beach.

The owner was very nice and easy to get in touch with. The Condo is a little dated, but it was clean. There is not a very much space to store any items you bring with you, as the kitchen cabinets provide the only storage for the unit, and they are all full. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. My family and I did have a huge complaint with noise from the pool. This unit is the most close to the pool and since there is not an onsite manager, there is no one to close the pool at 10:00pm. We had guest staying at the pool until 2:30am in the morning the first night we arrived, playing loud music. I spoke with the owner and she told me that i could find the security companies number on a sign around the pool and contact them. I did have to call them on our second night around midnight and they came out and closed the pool. All seven nights we were there, people were at the pool at least 90 minutes past the scheduled close time. Just keep that in mind if you are a early to bed, early to rise family.

Vacation Bliss

The unit was well equipped with great wifi and cable extraordinaire. The air conditioning was superb. There was no noise; it was quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Payment and arrangements were simple through VRBO. The beach was a dream and the pool facilities were well maintained. Loved the coded entry - no keys to take with you to the beach or pool.

Fit Our Needs Perfectly

We chose this condo based on our need to be near the Hangout Music Festival so the young people could walk to and from. It ended up being great for me as a non-attendee as well! Walked down the sidewalk past the well-kept pool right onto the beach every morning and evening for my walk/run. Condo was very clean, freshly painted, nicely decorated, comfy beds, well stocked with dishes, etc. No neighbors above or below like the high rises! Owners were very helpful and responsive when I had questions as we planned our vacation. We will rent from them again if the opportunity arises!

An Alabama born and raised girl, I grew up spending my summers in Gulf Shores. As a transplant to 'Landlocked Tennessee', I, along with my family, count down the days until our next trip to the salty Gulf air and our little home away from home at Gulfside Townhomes.

My sweet dad, a lover of the Alabama Gulf Coast, bought this property just a few short years before he passed away suddenly at the age of 55. He fancied himself the Mayor of Gulfside Townhomes and loved this property and the location better than anywhere else in the world. He actually bought this unit specifically because it was the closest to the pool and he dreamed of being able to watch his grandkids swim while he enjoyed a cold beer on the balcony. Although he never got to see them swim in the pool, he can rest assured that they love the pool and we hope that it will be enjoyed by our family for generations to come.

Gulfside Townhomes is conveniently located to almost anything you'd want to do while in Gulf Shores! This property is a short walk down the newly installed sidewalks to the updated Gulf Shores Public Beach Park or to the ever-popular Hangout. The locals favorite convenience store, Pier 33, is just across the street so that extra bag of ice you might need or the piping hot South Alabama boiled peanuts are a stones throw away!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

There is no other property in Gulf Shores like Gulfside Townhomes. A unique horseshoe-shaped complex with only 40 units with 250 feet of beach front. For visitors, that means even at peak summer season, the pool will never be full, the beach never too crowded and like so many people that vacation here, you get to know your neighbors and even become friends. The complex is super family friendly and with no elevators to hinder your days. You'll enjoy being able to walk right down to the pool and courtyard area and being just steps away from the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world! (In my humble opinion!)
