It is hard to describe the magic you immediately feel when you enter the courtyard of this gracious home. You are at once embraced by the warm inside surroundings while simultaneously being surrounded by the dramatic sea you can view from every room.

A shot of tequila is often found at the wonderfully inviting courtyard bar.

Each of the four bedrooms have a "head on pillow/in bed" white water ocean view.
Crashing waves lull you to sleep in every room.

This 4br 3 ba home is the only house on the prominent Las Gaviotas point.
It was the first house built in the Las Gaviotas community in 1971 by the original property owner of the development.
Because of that it is the best located largest lot in the original complex.

When you inquire about booking, please describe your group including gender, ages, if you are a part of a larger multi house group, a wedding, large family gathering, or other event, so we can help you determine if this is the right property for your Las Gaviotas vacation.

Our home is not intended to be the congregating location of a large multi house group.

Our home is a perfect set up for 4 couples.

The master has a king bed

One room has 2 queen beds.

There are two rooms each with a queen bed and extra single twin bed.

There are a total of 7 beds if your group is all singles.

Occupancy over 8 ( up to 14) and community entry passes are accommodated for four additional people by including bedrooms directly across the street in a two bedroom unit with a king, queen and twin bed.
And/or
there is a separate one bedroom studio across the street with a queen bed for an additional two people.

Day "guests of guests" are not allowed.

All members of your party must be included on a community entry gate pass.

Parties, including congregating occupants of other homes in the community, are not allowed.

Our home is intended to accomodate your immediate group that has the pleasure of staying with you in this special home.

This is not a 'rental property'. It is our graciously furnished and appointed personal family home for over 40 years, that is available for a few selected rental periods when it is not being used by family members.

Our home has authentic colonial detailing including a spacious outdoor flagstone courtyard with fountain and bar.
Courtyard sit down dining under the overhead string lights for up to 14 guests is a wonderful evening

Saltillo floors are throughout the house.
Beam ceilings and traditional raised hearth large fireplace are in the warm and inviting living room.

Every bedroom (and two baths) has ocean views. The living room has 220* wave break views.

The point view hot tub and pool is a wonderful gathering place, as is the courtyard bar and chimenea fire sitting area. The ocean terrace fire kettle conversation sitting area is a most often used spot.

The private courtyard 'outside room' is wonderfully furnished with room for a mariachi band and dancing. Tropical landscaping make this a special retreat.

The master bedroom has a fireplace sitting area and private terrace allowing for a serene private refuge.

We have three soft top surf boards, boogie boards, a stand up paddle board, for you use. Also there are beach towels provided.

We can help arrange catered courtyard dining, wine valley tours with or without driver, string mariachi music on our ocean terrace, fishing, horseback riding, spa services, whale watching, micro lite rides, dinner reservations, and more.

Check in time is 3:00 pm and
check out time is 10:00 am

however we usually can be very flexible with these times if you just let us know.

Unless there are "back to back" turn arounds we are happy for you to enjoy as much time as possible in our special home.

Our home is completely equipped. Sheets, towels, bath products, lotion, beach towels, dish soap, laundry detergent are all included for your use

End of your stay maid service is included.

A $25-35 pp tip at the end of your stay is always appreciated by our housekeeper Maria.

Sometimes bigger is better

Even though this property is this most expensive in Las Gaviotas, it offers WAY more room. Bedrooms are large, master is amazing, huge courtyard to enjoy quiet evening or host dinner parties. Outside oceanside has ample setting area and of course, inside has plenty of area to hang out. We saw several rentals our friends had and they were small, tight and not very decorated for $300 plus. As to where 3 couples can enjoy this place and have much more space along with incredible ocean front views! Staff is super helpful and the owner, Robert, is as available as well. Would definitely rent again!

We came to Robertā€™s home to celebrate my 50th. It was my husband and I and a few of our great friends. All of us enjoy traveling around the world and jumping into the beauty and culture and cuisine wherever we go. With that said, we were all in agreement that this property and what it offered was one of the most magical experiences we had come across. You can see the pride and love Robert puts into his home and he wants to share it with those who can appreciate it. Located on a couple great surf breaks made it a playground for my husband and a couple of his friends. The views the house has to offer are seen all throughout, every where you turn, you see the crashing surf or the bright orange sunsets. The community itself is friendly and chill and because of this houseā€™s location, we met neighbors and travelers every day. On the weekends, the community pool offers fresh fish ceviche and tacos and oysters on the half shell. There really is no reason to leave the property. But if you do need a great place to eat, right across the freeway is a fantastic tasting bar/restaurant upstairs that has live music on the weekends! And going wine tasting about an hour away in Valle de Guadalupe is a must. This truly is one of the most well-rounded, relaxing, beautiful and charming vacations weā€™ve ever taken.

Amazing!

If you have the opportunity to stay in Robert's house - do it!! This was my first time traveling down to Gaviotas and I definitely think Robert's house is the best one their is in the whole community. The house is beautiful, charming, has so much character, and is loved in the prime location. There is a stunning courtyard, that we used for a private dinner one night (Robert's concierge arranged a private chef for us!), and the patio by the ocean was perfect for breakfasts, relaxing and reading, and sunset cocktails. Honestly have nothing negative to say about the experience - Robert was very communicative leading up to my stay, and was easy to reach for any questions or issues we had while we were down in Mexico. Can't go wrong with this house!

Amazing home

This is an amazing home, wonderful owner and perfect Gaviotas experience from beginning to end. Every room (yes, bedrooms included) has an ocean view and that from the great room with floor to ceiling windows is stunning - it is truly something that canā€™t be beat. Sitting in the jacuzzi watching the waves out front is a luxury few homes in Gaviotas offer. The size was more than enough for our group, which consisted of a small family and additional couple. Another couple could easily have fit comfortably. Robert is extremely easy to work with and takes the time to ensure his guests enjoy every aspect of his home. Both Robert and his housekeeper Maria went above and beyond. One person in our group actually lost their wallet and Maria found it while cleaning after we left. They immediately contacted us and worked to get it back to the owner in the US within days. Thank you again!

Place was perfect!

We celebrated our 50th anniversary here with adult children and grandchildren, and there is something for everyone. Courtyard was great for dinners in. Outdoor fire pits, hot tub made evenings outside terrific. House is roomy, well-stocked and fun. Robert is a great host and Jim is always around if you have questions. Kids loved beach and pool.

Best House in Gaviotas

This is our second stay at #8 and we loved it even more than the first time. I didnā€™t think that it could be better but Robert has made a few improvements since 2016 and the house is magnificent. Two families with 4 adults and 5 kids in tow and we had more space than we needed. So luxurious with the ocean and the ambience and the view...oh, the view. Thank you, Robert. Perfect place for a family celebration!

From the first exchange with Robert prior to booking to the sad day of our departure, we were treated like gold! We celebrated an 80th birthday and Christmas on the same trip and things were perfect. We were blown away by the house, the location (best in Gaviotas for both of these items) and all of the amenities and kindness we received from Robert (and Jim). And last but not least, there was Alexei ā€” whose rule of thumb is simply ā€œask and ye shall receiveā€. Alexei can and will make it happen... just trust me on this one. We will be back and we absolutely would not want or need to stay anywhere else but here. We fell madly in love and canā€™t wait to go back! Thank you, Robert!!

Beautiful Las Gaviotas Home with amazing views from inside & out. The owner, Robert, was wonderful!

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary in this amazing home with our family. Our children surprised us with a Mariachis band at sunset arranged by Alexei Oregel. Everything we needed to prepare gourmet & casual BBQ meals was there & we enjoyed all of them on patio with panoramic ocean views & huge courtyard. This home is so authentically decorated with so many artifacts to enjoy. Six of our kids & grandkids surf, it was so much fun to watch them from our private patio. The owner was wonderful to work with, answering any questions promptly. This was definitely an A+++ vacation & celebration for all of us!

WOW, by far the best at Las Gaviotis!!!

Thank you Robert for opening your home and allowing us to enjoy beautiful Las Gaviotis. Touring wineries, relaxing on the patio, walks on the beach, shopping, and having Carlos (chef) cook and serve us in the amazing courtyard made it a wonderful vacation. Robert and on site manager Jim met us upon arrival to show us around and answer any questions. Nights sitting on the patio overlooking the ocean....stunning and was hard to leave. Wow! What a get away!

This is truly a special home and place. Before we went we connected with the owner several times and he was so helpful! A picture perfect beach front property.

With every room having its own spectacular ocean view it was tough for the group choose! The master was ideal and had a nice but authentic vibe to it. The house had more patios and outdoor space then we knew what to do with. The exterior really was terrific with a beach front jacuzzi, ocean facing fire pit, the private side patio, and a private interior patio with hanging napa bulbs that was perfect for dinners. There are plenty of things to do in Mexico but the Gaviotas organizer really did make life easy and entertaining. Our group was able to go wine tasting in the valley, play golf at Bajamar, surf out front, and fish off of Ensenada all in three days. The whole group raved about it and we hope to come back soon!

Our stay at Robert's home was perfect, easily the best property in the community. The private jacuzzi, outdoor fire pit overlooking the ocean and the gorgeous courtyard were a few of the highlights. Robert also set us up with our own chef that came and cooked a delicious dinner for us on our last night. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a fun weekend getaway.

Amazing house in Baja

We just returned from a pre-Thanksgiving getaway and had the pleasure of renting this amazing home. We have stayed at Las Gaviotas many times and this is, by far, the best property in the community. The owner, Robert, and the on-site manager, Jim, were both friendly, available when we had questions, and very accommodating. We enjoyed the private hot tub, had a fire in the fireplace while watching movies on a rainy day, used the fire pit on the clear nights while watching the surf, barbecued in the beautiful interior courtyard, napped in the hammock, and enjoyed excellent surf daily. The home is filled with really cool folk art, shells, and photos, which was great for our families, but maybe not as good for families with curious, small children. The house is really well equipped, with a full kitchen, DVD and WiFi, games, and soft top surfboards. We will definitely come back and would rent this house again in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

Good Times in Los Gaviotas.

The Property was amazing for our group and the homeowner and housekeeper were solo accommodating. We never wanted to leave the house and it was really a special experience for our group. Thank you for the great home and can't wait to come back.

Best at Las Gaviotas!

I have waited a bit to write this review, unfortunately, so my memory is a little foggy on the details but I can for sure say that this is the best property and experience we have had at Las Gaviotas. We visit this community frequently and stay in different houses. I've been longing to stay in this one forever and when we got the chance we jumped on it. It looks amazing from the outside but my mouth dropped when we arrived and saw the interior for the first time. It's beautiful and so well planned. The service provided was unprecedented and outstanding. You will not find a nicer home of this size at Gaviotas. Thank you Robert! We hope to be back soon.

AMAZING PROPERTY, AMAZING OWNERS!

THIS MESSAGE IS LONG OVERDUE, SO HERE IT IS! I SENT MY NEWPHEWS, MY TWO SONS, AND THREE OF THEIR FRIENDS FOR A SURF TRIP. WITH THE HELP OF ROBERT THE OWNER, HE INCREDIIBLY MANAGED TO ARRANGE A RENTAL BEHIND HIS HOUSE FOR OVERFLOW. WITH THE HELP OF HIS FRIENDS MARIA AND ALEXEI THE BOYS ENJOYED A HOMEMADE BREAKFAST, DINNER, A BEAUTIFUL HOME, AND FELT SAFE ON THE GROUNDS AND IN TOWN.ALEXEI SHUTTLED THEM TO TOWN TO EXPERIENCE THE FOOD, THE CLUBS AND THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. HE SUGGESTED A WINE TRIP FOR ONE OF THE DAYS, BUT THE BOYS WANTED TO SURF FOR THE LITTLE TIME THEY HAD. SO NEXT TIME, I THINK I WILL TAKE HIM UP ON THAT! THE BOYS COULD NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT THE HOUSE, THE ACCOMMODATIONS, JACUZZI, THE VIEW, THE ENTIRE TRIP EXPERIENCE THAT I HOPE TO VISIT VERY SOON.
