Welcome to Camp G on the beautiful Chain of Lakes in Alexandria, Minnesota. Enjoy relaxing in cabin paradise on the quiet shores of Lake Carlos. Our 5 bedroom cabin is located on beautiful Lake Carlos with hard sand bottom for swimming and fun! Relax on the large deck that surrounds the cabin or hang out on the dock and watch the sunset. There is a spacious kitchen, large dining table, comfy living room and a four season bar with big screen tv on the main floor in the main cabin. An upstairs loft is great for reading, playing games or for sleeping. Downstairs there is a sauna, game table & lounge area, plus a bunk room. In the guest cabin, there is a game room with a pool table and a separate bunk room that sleeps six. Parcel license number #1921. Cabin and guest house sleep 12 adults and 4+ kids 5 and under

Very nice place

The place is beautiful . Lake is shallow nice for small children and bottom of lake was sandy. The caretaker was the best ever. He mows the lawn and lives two doors down so friendly and checks if everything is working and fixes things quickly.We enjoyed our stay and the kitchen was so well stocked and owners so nice to talk to and work with. You will enjoy your stay ! Met all our expectations. Donna James

Absolutely amazing stay

We had a fabulous stay. Everything was perfect from crystal clear sandy bottom water to enough hot water for our showers. Jill and John were easy to communicate with. The kids had fun swimming and looking for treasures in the clear water. The fishing wasn't perfect but we did catch fish. Plenty of beds for our group. All appliances functioned as expected. We had plenty of refrigerator/freezer space. This is a beautiful home.

Perfect lake getaway for large family

This home feels like home the moment you step inside. It’s big, comfortable and accommodating. Ridiculous number of beds and sleeping options. The location is easy to access, the lake is just steps away and the town of Alexandria is minutes away for anything you need. We will stay here again. Our family had an amazing time.

Fantastic House and Property

We had a fantastic stay at Camp G!! The house was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. We were a group of 12 people, including 4 kids, and all of us were able to spread out and enjoy the time on the lake. Lake Carlos is crystal clear and gorgeous and the sunsets from the dock/house were amazing. Jill was a pleasure to work with and helped us quickly deal with a minor issue in the house with ease. Anyone would be lucky to stay here!

Best Property on the Lake!

The property is just as described and then some. It was excellent for our annual family gathering. The lake shore is sandy, the grounds are well maintained and the property is fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay. There is plenty of space for everyone inside and out. We hope to return again year after year!

Extremely comfortable, beautiful cabin on amazing swimming lake

Our family reunion week was fabulous at this cabin. It has room for a big group, plenty of beds and bathrooms, every amenity you could need. And Lake Carlos is beautiful - so clear and sandy on the bottom. We loved being able to swim off the dock with our young kids. The cabin has the most perfect sunset views, and the late afternoon sun meant we could swim right into the evening hours. We would love to stay here again.

Awesome lake home

We had 8 adults and two children staying in Camp G for the week and could not have asked for more perfect accomodations. Plenty of room for everyone. This cabin is the ideal place for families to come together and celebrate lake life at its finest. Everything in the home was first class. We entertained 38 family members for dinner and had plenty of room for all. Great kitchen and deck. Jill was amazing to work with. were

Family reunion win!

This house was incredible and the owners were awesome - responsive, helpful, accommodating! We booked this house as a meeting grounds for a family reunion of sorts. Two families came in from Maryland, one family from New York, and three families from the Twin Cities. We had three babies and three little boys 3, 4 and 5 years old. This house was absolute perfection for such a big group. We had more than enough room to spread out and allow little ones to nap, yet plenty of space to come together as a family and connect. The porch offered incredible views and a relaxing breeze, the lake was clear and sandy - a great place to relax in the sun. The yard was perfect for the boys to run around and play, the sauna was loved by all the adult guests, and between the boat house and the basement, there was plenty of room for all to comfortably settle in for our week stay. Perhaps best of all, the kitchen and the dining room was a great congregating space for the entire family to enjoy big meals together. So many great memories were made at this cabin and we are so grateful to have found such a wonderful rental!

Classic Lakeside Cabin Large Enough To Bring Everyone

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camp G, the Gardiner's family cabin. The cabin has cedar exterior and pine or fir interior with nice deck facing the lake giving it the classic MN cabin feel. Great interior layout, sandy lake bottom and western exposure for great sunsets made relaxing a breeze. Would definitely rent again if coming to Alexandria area. One note is that this is a family's cabin, not a full time rental so there might be stuff in fridge at time of rental etc and there were some very slight issues with ice maker not working and the grill gas being empty at arrival. We have large family and rent large homes twice a year on HomeAway all over the world and this was a keeper.

luxury lakefront home

our family with 7 adults and 6 children ages 15 to 2 had a fantastic vacation. The big girls loved staying in the guest house. The kitchen was wonderful for preparing big meals and plenty of room around the extra large dining room table. At night we enjoyed the screened in bar room. The lake is crystal clear with shallow entry, perfect for the little ones. We had a most memorable holiday and hope to be able to come back soon.

we had 12 people adults and older teens plus 1 5yr old and the teens and child loved the bunk house. we had people coming and going so the numbers were never stable, but there was room for all...very comfortably. the lake is perfection crystal clear and sand bottom..we were boating and fishing..we.rented a pontoon twice and it was so much fun cruising the chain of lakes. Lots of interesting things to do in Alexandria and around the lakes. Gary was great when we had questions...talked to jill tried to get her to adopt us so we could stay in this beautiful home...would love to come again.

Our 8 adults and 7 children truly enjoyed our week of vacation at this beautiful home on the lake. The beach was great for our young grandchildren. The guest house and pool table was a great benefit for our older grandkids. Gary, the care taker was very helpful and a great guide for recommendations.

Awesome stay!

My family including 8 young children (ranging from 1 to 7 years old) and 8 adults had such a blast this past week! The water was perfect, the house was beautiful and we all had enough room, which is something we struggle with when traveling together. The bonus cabin was perfect for my family of 4, but could fit more bodies if needed! We had two double beds and two singles that weren't even being used, plus the loft. It has lots of space! The grounds keeper was so helpful and friendly. The town had lots of fun activities to offer, but we stayed at the cabin mostly, because it was lovely, we were comfortable and had everything we needed there. The lake was pure perfection! Lots of water skiing and tubing fun was had! We would definitely stay again. Memories were made and we all had a great time! Thanks so much for a great cabin week!

Everything as listed and more!

The stay at this home was awesome! We had 8 adults and approximately 6-8 children and were more than comfortable staying in this beautiful home. The guest house was a plus as it added a great space for our tweens/teens. It also had a pool table that got a lot of use. In addition to the wonderful lake activities, we used Carlos State Park to do hiking and runs. Alexandria was close for groceries and restaurants. Go carting was a hit and Zorbaz is always a family favorite of ours and was super close. We had a boat problem and Gary, the care taker, was amazing in recommending someone to help us out. Thank you Gary! We would definitely come back again (and again and again)! Thanks John and Jill for a wonderful and memorable 4th of July, 2015 week!
