Villa Les Lucioles is the perfect property for a large family or group of friends. It enjoys a large, flat, & completely enclosed garden with lovely views of the surrounding mountains. The large pool has a great shallow pool area, perfect for children to play in. Around the pool patio are many sun lounger’s for those wishing to relax & soak up the sun & a shaded outside lounge area. Inside the villa, most of the living space is on one level. The kitchen & dining room open directly onto the garden/pool area. There is shaded eating area right outside the kitchen which overlooks the pool. The living room is spacious & bright. It opens onto the smaller garden which has a nice quiet courtyard. There are 4 bedrooms on the main level, one bedroom in the character tower room & the sixth bedroom on the ground floor. All bedrooms have air conditioning. Pool heating is possible, please ask for price. Villa Les Lucioles is walking distance into the village of Bar sur Loup (approx. 20 mins.) where there are several restaurants, shops, & outdoor markets.

Beautiful property in the South of France

We stayed at the property in September 2016. My husband and I actually got married and had the ceremony at the property. It was absolutely beautiful and such a stunning venue. We were so happy with the property and felt we had chosen the perfect place to have our ceremony. The owners were really lovely and helpful. We would definitely love to go back.

We stayed for 8 nights and were two families of 4 adults and 4 kids - 2 teenagers and 2 toddlers. The house was a fantastic size and accommodated all of us easily. The pool area is lovely and enjoyed by all. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome.The house was very clean, and Lise and John were fantastic hosts. The communication was brilliant and although we had no issues we were in contact with Lise via WhatsApp and I have no doubt we would have got n instant response if an issue did arise.The location is beautiful, albeit up a fairly winding little road, but that became easier to drive as the week progressed. Overall whilst it's not super near anything, you have Grasse, Antibes, Nice, Valbonne etc all within a 30-40 minute drive, so it's very central to a lot of lovely places.Highly recommended.

Fantastic Stay

There were 13 of us staying at the property and had the most wonderful week. The house was a brilliant group house with plenty of things for everyone to do (swimming pool, table tennis, pool table, swings and Wendy house for the kids). Lise was brilliant and able to get back to us all very quickly and help out on all occasions, but also left us alone to have a family holiday. The local area is stunning and plenty of places to visit and only 35 mins from the sea The only watch out was we arrived after a storm and there were lots of mosquitoes 🦟

fantastic house :-)

We had a large family group with 9 older kids - this house was great for us - the pool and pool side was really perfect for us and the large outdoor table for dining and large living room was ideal. The bedrooms on the main and upper level were simple, but perfect. Most bedrooms had AC which was a nice touch for the super hot nights. The only downside basement bedroom smelled a little damp and moldy - we had our older kids sleeping here - but I would not want to have had young children sleeping there. Lise was great and answered any questions we had and was always very quick to respond. I would love go back! :-)

Hi Elizabeth, We are so happy you had a lovey holiday and would love to welcome you back on a future holiday trip. All our 6 bedrooms have new air conditioning units installed this summer. I am sorry you had such a late arrival and we were not able to show you. As you were here during our summer heat wave, we recommend you use ac in all the bedrooms which keeps them cool and aired. A Painting Holiday

We have just returned to Ireland from Les Lucioles. Twelve of us went on a painting holdiay and we had a wonderful time. The villa was beautifully maintained with all modern facilities, spacious and spotless. The grounds were a haven of peace with lots of space for twelve adults to spread out around. From the first moment I contacted Lise my enquiry was treated in a professional and friendly manner. While the road to the villa is a rather hair raising experience, once you get there it is a vertiable paradise. The bedrooms are adequate. The large marble table leading out from the kitchen was the 'heart of the holiday' and we spent many wonderful hours around it - as is the table in the dining area if the weather is too cool! I would highly recommend a visit to Les Lucioles and hope you experience the wonderful hospitality of Lise and John. P.S Do not miss dining at Le Bigourdier in Bar sur Loup - the food is heavenly - just like the views. The staff are exceptional. Geraldine

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Haus hat sehr viel Flair und ist mit Stil eingerichtet. Wir waren 7 Erwachsene und 5 Kinder. Bis auf ein Zimmer hat jedes Zimmer ein eigenes Bad. Der Garten mit Pool ist super. Im vorderen Bereich des pools ist es flacher, so dass auch die kleinen vorne stehen konnten. Es ist sehr ruhig. Haus hat eigene Einfahrt mit Parkplätzen in umzäuntem Bereich. Es ist alles vorhanden, Bettwäsche, Handtücher, sowohl für Bad als auch für den Pool. Es war alles sauber. Küche ist gut ausgestattet. In der Nähe gibt es leider nicht sehr viel, aber mit Auto ist man in 35min in Antibes, Nizza oder Cannes. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen. Auch der Kontakt mit den Vermieter ist angenehm und reibungslos und Sie war immer zu erreichen.

Wunderbare Villa

Eine tolle große Villa mit einem großen schönen Garten. Genug Schlafzimmer und genug Bäder. Die Betten/ Matrazen sind unterschiedlich, alle bequem mal weicher mal härter. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht, Spülmaschine inklusive. Im Keller steht eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner. Das Wohnzimmer ist sehr gemütlich. Der Pool ist schön sauber, wir konnten Mitte bis Ende Oktober drin baden. Drum herum genug Liegen und bequeme Sitzmöglichkeit. Die Villa erreicht man (jenachdem woher man kommt) auf kurvenreichen schmalen Straßen, die Straße und die Gegend ist sehr ruhig. Einkaufsmöglichkeit 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Von hier aus sind Ausflugsziele wie Gourdon, Grasse, Valbonne (Markt freitags), die Schlucht Gorges de Loup, Vence, Mougins schnell zu erreichen. Mit etwas längerer Autofahrt kommt man gut nach Cannes, Strand in Mandelieu, Monaco (Tagesausflug), Antibes (Marineland), Nizza. Lise hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns vertraut beim Verlassen des Hauses. Wir hatten ihre Nummer, falls was gewesen wäre. Ich kann das Haus nur empfehlen, wenn man viel Platz im Haus und Garten haben möchte, ruhig schlafen will und bereit ist Autofahrten auf sich zu nehmen um etwas zu erleben.

Großartiges Anwesen

Wir haben den Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen. Lise und ihr Mann waren tolle Gastgeber und haben uns auch gleich beim Check-in tolle Ausflugstipps gegeben (z.B. Gourdon, Valbonne). Die Kommunikation mit Lise war unkompliziert und schnell. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig. Wir waren zu acht dort und hatten natürlich genügend Platz. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und hat alles, was man braucht. Der Garten ist großartig, wie auf den Bildern. Da wir im April da waren, konnten wir den wundervollen Pool noch nicht nutzen, aber wenn es wärmer ist, ist das bestimmt ein Paradies. Unsere Kinder (12, 9, 6 und 3 Jahre alt) haben aber in dem riesigen Garten und mit den vielen vorhandenen Spielgeräten die Zeit dennoch entspannt verbracht. Wir würden auf jeden Fall nochmals dorthin gehen! Herzlichen Dank an Lise und Ihren Mann!

Catastrophique

Je pense que l’honnêteté aurait été de nous avertir que cette maison est située dans un trou et que, en décembre, elle bénéficie de 4 minutes d’ensoleillement maximum sur la journée!!! Nous n’avons pas vu le jour! La condensation coulait sur toutes les fenêtres, la literie est catastrophique, les fenêtres ne ferment pas à clé et sont de vraies passoires thermiques, la porte du garage ne se ferme pas non plus. La plaque vitro était tellement sale qu’on n’a pas réussi à l’utiliser le 1er soir, les casseroles n’étant pas captées par la plaque. Nous avons mangé nos pâtes au micro-onde et avons acheté de quoi la nettoyer nous-mêmes le lendemain pour la faire fonctionner. Idem pour la grille du lave-vaisselle que nous avons dû nettoyer. Pas de sèche-cheveux alors que nous l’avions demandé lors de le préservation. La personne qui s’occupe de l’intendance est très sympathique mais elle ne parle pas un mot de français… En revanche le jardin est magnifique. Cette maison est donc à louer exclusivement l’été, mais les propriétaires se sont bien gardés de nous prévenir de son emplacement encaissé. Ce qui aurait évité ces commentaires. L’honnêteté paye toujours…

Thank you for your comments and I would like to clarify a few of your points. Firstly, as we discussed on the phone, I know you said your comments about little sun were a huge exaggeration, which unfortunately can be very misleading to read. In the middle of winter, our garden and house get approx 5 hours of direct sun, of course spring, summer and fall months enjoy direct sun all day long. We also trim back hedges, trees etc... in January to make sure the garden is well maintained and sunny through-out the year. Regarding the cleanliness, I am very sorry you had an issue with this. I personally do every meet & greet, except for when I am away at Christmas. I am involved in every changeover and have never had a comment about cleanliness before. I also speak French and English. Again I am sorry I could not be the one to greet you on arrival and be available for any issue during your stay. We want our guests to have a wonderful holiday and also react immediately if there is a question during their stay. I would love to welcome you back in the spring or summer.

Very enjoyable stay

It was a lovely experience staying at Lise and Jon's beautiful villa in Le Bar-sur-Loup. There were 11 (adults and children) of us and we managed to enjoy the pool, eat together outside, and find quiet corners when people wanted to read. Our hosts made us feel very much at home and replied to us very quickly if ever we had questions; always willing to help. The location is good for getting to local towns such as Grasse, Gourdon, and Vence, or for day trips into Nice and Monaco. We hired one car, but one bit of advice would be that if you are going to depend on taxis, then you should book in advance (there is Uber too). All in all, a lovey week's holiday.

Lieu de reve pour passer un tres bon moment en groupe.

La villa est un endroit paradisiaque ou l'on peut oublier le reste du monde. Les chambres avec salle de bain privatives et wc independant, puis l'espace cuisine ouverte et salle a manger sont un atout. L'exterieur est un ravissement avec tout ce que l'on peut desirer.

Stunning property in idyllic location

We have just returned Le Bar-sur-Loup staying in Villa Les Lucioles and we cannot speak highly enough of the week that we had. Comfortably under an hour's drive from Nice Airport it is a conveniently located large, comfortable, incredibly private and quiet property with all amenities covered. Large bedrooms, ample bathroom and relaxation areas, large kitchen, children's needs well catered for and the pool is just wonderful. Lise and Jon looked after our needs brilliantly and we cannot wait to return in the future. Two small tips, do not miss the market in Valbonne on a Friday or the views to be had from the perched village of Gourdon, both under 20mins away by car. Do not hesitate in booking this terrific property you will not be disappointed!

Home sweet Home: garden very nice, house perfect, children and adults all of us HAPPY :-) only a few plastic toys a little "old", otherwise everything ok!

Beautiful villa with authentic charm

A fabulous villa, suiting more than one family. Beautiful rural location but only a short drive to Nice and Cannes. The villa is well presented with modern amenities whilst retaining it's authentic charm. Excellent for families with small children, particularly the large enclosed garden and swimming pool with shallow 'beach' entry, sloped sides, and integrated spa. Lots to do locally for adults and kids (must visit Gourdon and with young kids Les Bois de Lutins). Undoubtedly we will return! The Brays, Parkers and Macphersons

Excellent house with all the comforts.

We are three italian families for a total of 12 people (6 kids, 6 adults); we staied at the villa for 5 nights and it was an excellent experience. A lot of space, all the conforts, comfortable bedrooms and many bathrooms. We all felt relaxed....the only problem was that the kids never wanted to go outside....!!!!!! I think the photos perfectly show the house.....maybe the reality is even better than the photos!!!!!!!!!!! All around Bar sur Loup there are so many beautiful places to see, seaside and mountains, and all the places are very near. I will for sure give this address to my friends, because this was a perfect experience!!!!!!!

Hello Christina, It was so lovely to meet you and your family and friends. We are so happy that you enjoyed yourselves at our property and had fun exploring the surrounding area. The 6 children were so friendly and our daughter, Kiera, enjoyed meeting them also! How great that they loved the garden and pool and did not want to leave the property! A wonderful family holiday! We loved it.

We are a large family and we were so excited to go on holiday to the South of France together. Villa Les Lucioles completely exceeded our expectations. The grounds are fantastic -they are large so we had so much room to spread out. Lots of different seating areas and loads of garden games, such as table tennis and badmington. The villa is in a quiet location but close to fantastic scenery and villages. We ate out in the charming village of Le Bar sur Loup and Valbonne - great places. The villa is spacious and very well kept, very nicely decorated and has all the amenities we could ask for. We had 4 younger children in our party, they adored the garden and the kiddie toys. The pool was even warm enough at the end of April for them to take a swim! There's a great shallow area in the pool for kids! We really recommend this property for a holiday and hope ourselves to return soon.
