Hello I'm Mel Thank you for looking at Windfall Villas, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay with us. While deciding on a place to stay, your comfort and safety is first, It also has to be cost friendlyā€¦.within your budget. With that in mind lets talk about what you get. Free transportation from the airport to A fully equipped, user friendly, 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa, located on a very safe and comfortable property, 15 minutes from the airport. Transportation (with seating capacity for 6) available on property. Every bedroom is air conditioned and has its own bathroom. Free wifi, cable, and hot water. There is an out door bar and BBQ grill, 2 out door lounge areas, one with ping pong table (table tennis) and exercise machines, also a house keeper to make sure you donā€™t work while on vacation, (laundry services available on property). Ask about our food plan options. The pictures will help you visualize the beauty of this property and the reviews will allow you to look through the eyes of experience (those who have been there and done that). Maybe get your dinner from one of the local fisherman, or go out fishing with them and catch your own!

During the day, you can lounge by the pool, play ping pong, stare at the ocean, (we get an amazing breeze off the sea), go snorkelling, take a relaxing bamboo raft ride on The Great River, or you can take a day trip. There are literally hundreds of attractions and adventures in this paradise for a person to have all the fun and excitement one can stand!

Such a nice stay at windfall Villas, Mel was great and always able to get us to anywhere at almost anytime we needed. It was beautiful and peaceful at the property. Would highly recommend to anyone checking out Montego Bay. Think twice begore trying drive here. In my opinion this is one dangerous place to drive unless youā€™ve driven here before. Mel made this part of our trip completely safe.

Staying at Windfall villas was a fantastic experience. The property was impeccably clean and well maintained with a beautiful and well manicured lawn with an amazing ocean view, great for taking pictures. The location was ideal, in a safe and close to most things and places we needed to visit. The Villa was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a coffee maker, a blender, a well stocked kitchen, toiletries and most of the basic items that we needed to use for the first few days before we went shopping. The host (Mr. Mel Chambers) was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. He was responsive and communicative, always providing clear instructions and helpful tips. Mel went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, providing recommendations for local activities and restaurants. We have never met such a host, that gives 1000% to his guests. He was always a phone call away. The property offered excellent value for the price, I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again.

Graduation trip

First time in Jamaica and a time was had! Mel was the perfect host. The property has the best view on the island in my opinion. Mangoes and soursop were an added bonus.

Beautiful place and excellent service

The house has character, and was spotless when we arrived. Mel really goes above and beyond in terms of communication and making his guests feel welcome. He lives close by, so was immediately on top of a couple minor questions we had. He knows the value of - and knows to create - a great experience for his guests. We'd love to come back again soon.

Best Vacation Ever

Exceptional!! Exceeded all of our expectations! It was spotless and so inviting. The total experience was a dream come true. The view was spectacular and hard to believe it was even real. The host Mel was undoubtedly the best host we had ever encountered. He was always there and knew what we needed or would like before we even knew. We had a driver, access to food, or whatever we wanted 24/7. Marsha and all of the staff were superb. Mel made you feel comfortable and safe in every aspect. Our honeymoon was spectacular and a trip we will never forget. We recommend this villa over any resort. We will definitely be going back. Whether it was morning coffee with the salty sea breeze or watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and pink, every moment felt magical.But what truly made this trip extraordinary was Mel, the property owner. He is hands down one of the most gracious, attentive, and kind hosts we've ever encountered. From the little thoughtful touches around the home to his genuine warmth, he made sure our stay was nothing short of perfect. He even has fruit trees on the property, and he personally picked fresh fruit for us to enjoy! A REAL PARADIES!!

We had the honor to stay at Windfall Villas for our Honeymoon and it was the best decision we couldā€™ve made. From the clean nice thoughtful well equipped house to the beautiful outdoor & Pool area there is nothing more you could ask for!! We were amazed by the huge wonderful garden with lots of flowers & plants that you can all fully enjoy to yourself we really felt like we landed right into Jamaican Paradise! Special thanks to Mel and Marsha who made us feel so welcome and help us out with every little detail and showed us around , places & trips that we will never forget. The property is beautiful. The view of Montego bay from the veranda, masterbedroom and pool were breathtaking. Mel is a full service host. We came as guests and left as friends. He made sure we knew all the nuances of the area. Also he would ask us where and what we wanted to do and made many a suggestion. He's more than half the price of a taxi and three times the comedian. He is easy to contact of you need him and responds even quicker. We will not stay anywhere else. The value you recieve for your money is exceptional. Magical Windfall Villas

My family and I stayed at the Magical Windfall Villa in Montego Bay for the holidays. Let me tell you a little story...Our journey began with so much stress. On Christmas Eve, we missed our flight out but determined to get there we slept at the airport and rang in Christmas on the floor of baggage claim. We felt awful. Cold, hungry, and exhausted. We said to each other "this better be worth it" We contacted Mel, our host, our ray of light. He said, "no worries I got you." He absolutely did. As soon as we were picked up at the airport, Mel took care of us. He secured us 4 meals cooked by a chef, so we'd have something warm to eat on Christmas Day. I am sure not an easy feat for christmas eve. His generousity and compassion for his guests was over and beyond what we ever experienced in our travels. As soon as we walked in to Windfall, we felt all the stress swept away with the gentle breezes and majestic views. The villa set on top of a lush green hill overlooking the bluest waters of Montego Bay, where we watched the clouds roll in reflecting off the sea. For 9 amazing days we felt the healing energy of Jamaica soak I to every cell of our bodies. The sunrises were unmatched in beauty. The ocean view was from a movie scene. The pool area was another whole view of Montego Bay that was breathtaking day or night. We simply couldn't believe we were literally staying in paradise. But, what is paradise without the people. Magnificent Mel

We couldn't have been more pleased with our vacation location. Our host Mel made this vacation great. He was attentive and took care of all of our wants and needs. The villa was spacious and far exceeded our expectations. Our view was fabulous. We were surrounded by beautiful foliage and Jamaica's cultural animals. We came as tourists and left as friends. Perfect In Every Way

The house was beautiful and very comfortable! There was air conditioning when the heat and humidity got overwhelming. We stayed in the pool almost all day every day. The views from the property were absolutely magnificent! We loved the outdoor shower! We highly recommend this villa for your stay in Montego Bay, Jamaica! The other superb factor of this excellent experience was that of the host, Mel! He was very responsive when we reached out to him and checked on us often while still respecting our privacy. He was very accommodating and helpful the entire stay, with a friendly personality and witty sense of humor too! He was very knowledgeable and was able to meet all of our needs. Highly recommend - 10 out of 10! Five Stars in every category!

Just what we needed

We were able to parlay a few extra days of vacation in Jamaica so we decided to stay in this villa and it was the best part of our trip. We stayed 4 days at the property and 4 days at a resort. We wished we would have stayed all 8 days at the property. The property was pristine, safe, and the view was AMAZING. The host Mel, took care of our every need. We ate delicious authentic Jamaican food that Mel personally delivered to us everyday. We were also able to eat the fruit that grew on the property. The Mangos, Coconuts, Star Fruit and Bananas were a true treat. Mel was an amazing host and we will definitely be back.

Great stay

The property was accurately described and looked like the pictures. Mel was an excellent host, very accommodating and patient. We used Melā€™s transportation service almost every day, he provided suggestions as we asked and was able to get us a discount rate for a day pass at one of the resorts. Definitely check with him before you book excursions/activities as he can likely get cheaper. We enjoyed our time and would definitely book Melā€™s place again.

Well taken care of!

Weā€™ve never felt so safe or well taken care of than the month we spent with Mel and his staff. We opted not to rent a car and have Mel and/or Marsha take us to various beaches, excursions, restaurants, clubs and, really, anything we wanted to do. On top of that, if there was anything out of the ordinary we wanted, Mel always ā€œknew a guy.ā€ The house was very comfortable and the view is outstanding, any time of day. We cooked a lot and barbecued our own Jerk Chicken over a fire with wood from the property. My son proposed to his girlfriend on this trip and another couple joined us for a week as well. They all had the time of their lives. A few friends opted NOT to come because of US State Department warning but there was never a second we didnā€™t feel safe. Once they saw our Facebook posts from our trip, they were sorry they didnā€™t come. This is the way to experience Jamaicaā€¦Enjoy!

Wonderful Experience

This was are 3rd time to Jamaica, we normally stay at a resort. This time we did 7 days at a resort and then did 4 days at Windfall Villa. Mel was superb to deal with from the beginning of booking all the way thru checking in and throughout our stay. Mel even helped us at the local Grocery Store. Anytime we needed anything or a ride he was always ready and very informative on what to do and not to do. We really enjoyed this type of experience and plan on staying with Mel again when we come back. Awesome experience Gorgeous View of Montego Bay and quite. Lovely property!!! If youā€™re on the fence quit looking and book it. Any questions donā€™t hesitate to contact Mel, heā€™s a great guy!!! Thanks Mel canā€™t wait to come see you again.

Family stay for one night

This private villa is on hill top full of beautiful foliage overlooking the ocean with a view of the city lights of Montego Bay. Million dollar view!! Mel was an absolute life saver. He made us feel safe and completely took care of me and my kids. I can't express how grateful we are to him or how beautiful the property is. Hopefully we'll be able visit him and the property again.

Stay in Montego Bay

The view from the property is really beautiful. I went for my mom's 60th birthday with my family and we had a great time. I planned a very busy week and I'm really happy that we got to visit multiple parts of the island. Local fruits from the property was definitely an added bonus!

A Quiet Paradise

The house sits on a hill overlooking the ocean and mountains in the distance. The sunrises were beautiful even though it rained off and on. The view is spectacular no matter what time of day it is. The service is top-notch. By the end of our trip, Mel became a friend. From the moment he gave his advice on what to do at the airport to the last day when he sent us to the airport for our flights back, Mel made the difference. He was always available - grocery runs, lunch and dinner pick-ups, day trip to the waterfalls and the endless touristy questions he patiently answered. What truly won my heart - he willingly took my teens up and down the waterfalls TWICE while I gave up after the first round and found a bench. If they wanted to zipline that day, he'd have gone ziplining along with them too! He was Jamaica and so Jamaica was fun to us. We came to rest and maybe, do a small amount of sightseeing though it wasn't our goal. We'd had a hard few weeks earlier - health scares, hospitals and doctors just before losing our beloved family dog as well. This visit was for healing more than anything and it was worth it. Thank you Mel for your home and your hospitality. It meant the world to us and we'll always remember Jamaica fondly. I hope all your dreams and plans for your business come to fruition - I don't think there's anyone more hard-working than you who deserves it.

50th birthday celebration

When we found this Villa on Vrbo we couldn't believe how many great reviews were posted. We decided to take a chance because we wanted privacy and relaxation. It was the best decision we could have made. Mel was such a great host there really is not a word for the extraordinary hospitality we received. There was 4 of us and 2 of us arrived on Saturday and the other 2 on Sunday and he made sure we were picked up from airport. He stopped us by the local grocery store on the way to the Villa to pick up items we needed. He even went in the store with us to help us find items! Mel also provides daily transportation to local spots for a reasonable price. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RENT A CAR AND DRIVE IN JAMAICA! They drive on the wrong side of the street and the driving is very wreckless. Mel stated he's had several guest that had rentals but they were all returned the same day. Let the locals do the hard work and you just buckle up and close your eyes lol. Mel and Marsha showed up on my birthday with a cake and bottle of wine! I was celebrating my 50th! This was so special. Also please check with Mel before booking any excursions. He was a great resource on places to go and avoid. Literally anytime we came up on an issue where we needed something he ALWAYS came to the rescue. His is definitely a SUPERHOST/ CONCIERGE with top of the line service. The private pool was my jam! It was very relaxing, accommodating and clean. It was very comfortable, serene and romantic.

Perfectly Relaxing

Family of four that spent a week at Windfall Villas. This was a great experience for us, and provided the relaxation we were seeking. The house is spacious, clean and has all the basics covered. The views are amazing, and we spent most of our time lounging in the shade of the veranda or by the well maintained pool. The yard and surrounding vegetation are well-kept...coconuts, mangoes, bananas on the property itself. Proximity to Montego Bay and the airport is excellent, and it's just minutes from any amenity needed (grocery stores, banks, restaurants, etc.). Mel was an excellent host and maintained daily contact, ensuring we had everything we needed and providing suggestions on places to go. He became a friend. The villa and property were the perfect respite after a day at the beach (Montego Bay minutes away; Negril a one-hour drive). My only regret is taking only one full day to relax just at the villa and pool (not venturing out at all) instead of two or more. We will definitely return!

Where do I start Mel is the greatest host I encountered he actually helped us in with everything the place was amazing the backyard and the view is amazing Mel made sure that we had everything we needed this was the best time of my life

Simply the Best!!!

My friends and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. Mel was an amazing host! Everything was as advertised. Mel was very knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. All of our needs were met and we will definitely come back again! 5/5 stars!!!!!

Birthday

First, the pick up at the airport was amazing. We were confused due to never being there before, however, Mel was there on time and was more than helpful. Secondly, he drove out of his way so we could have Jerk. Once at the home, it was beautiful . Sitting in the hills, with th a breath taking view. The stay was warm and welcoming. Mel, insured we were happy Took us to the airport and saw us off. I felt we were in great hands. Got what I came for. Thank you Windfalls for having Me back.

Melvin Chambers is the child of Jamaican father and Cuban mother. Raised in Jamaica, he left as a young adult to make a better life for himself and his family. He gained experience in the automotive industry in Europe and later Canada, then settled in America for 15 years as a real estate professional. It was by acquiring properties, and managing business operations in New York, USA that Melvin sharpened his expertise in the areas of commerce enhancement, client relations, and real estate development and management.
Although immensely successful in New York, Melvin longed for the natural, free-flowing climate of home. After traveling back and forth for many years, Melvin sold many of his properties in New York to invest in properties in Jamaica; and he moved back to Jamaica for good in 1988, residing on the estate he purchased in 1986, Windfall Villas. In 2004, he sent for his son Mel to learn the real estate business and help manage the beautiful estate of Windfall Villas.


Mel Chambers is the property manager and contract advisor of Windfall Cottages and a host of other properties in Jamaica.
