Cozy Beach Get Away

We stayed here for a week in June and had a great time. Everything we needed was there and the best part was the location: the beach only two minutes away and a playground, ice cream, stores and a Wawa just around the corner. It was perfect for us!

Ocean City gem

I recently spent a wonderful week here with my wife, our four-year-old son, and my wife's parents. We chose this property because we were looking for a quiet vacation away from the boardwalk in Ocean City. The property was very clean and we had no issues with check-in. The space was much bigger than it appeared in the listing photos. The living room is very large with two big couches and two armchairs for people to spread out on. The dining room and bedrooms are also very spacious. The kitchen has modern appliances and was well equipped with cookware and plenty of plates, drinkware and silverware. The location of the property is also a huge plus. The surrounding houses were all full during our stay and yet noise was never an issue. The beach is a short three block walk away and there is a grocery store, CVS pharmacy and many food options all within easy walking distance. The boardwalk is a good distance away (1-2 miles) so plan on a long walk or driving there if you're interested. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay overall and hope to return in upcoming summers.

Bed bugs

The location and price were great. We arrived at check in only to find that the property had been double booked and another family was in the driveway about to unpack. The owner was present and sorted it all out quickly, the other family volunteered to move to another location since I had such young children (1 and 3 years old). Interesting the owner originally told us all he was the cleaning crew and only when I asked him point blank did he admit it was him. I had called his number from the VRBO confirmation email when we realized we were double booked and he didn’t answer. He said he never answers at that time on Saturdays when check ins at his three properties are turning over! Anyway, Tom left, we unpacked and settled in only to slowly realize that Tom hadn’t cleaned and no one else had in a long time. There was hair, dust, and sand everywhere. I vacuumed and dusted and was at peace with it. I didn’t want to make a fuss and was eager to just have a nice week with the kids and my mom. We had a lovely vacation honestly. I did start to notice a lot of “mosquito bites” towards the end of the week. We checked out Saturday. By Monday I was miserable with itchy red bumps all over. My baby girl had them on her arms and legs but my son and my mom had no bites (they slept in a different room all week). Tuesday I saw my dermatologist and was informed they were bed bug bites which typically don’t get itchy until days to weeks after you get bit! Had I known this I wouldn’t have already unpacked. This has been a nightmare. I’ve spent the last week throwing out thousands of dollars of belongings and spending more money on mattress covers, bed bug traps, and cleaning. I can’t sleep. I feel them biting me all night long. My kids have no toys anymore and they cry and beg me to play with them while I’m cleaning. It’s tough. I hate to be difficult but honestly I will never book through VRBO again.

Late season rentals can be an issue with cleanliness and the bathtub was mildew, I cleaned it.

Property was as advertised. Close to stores and beach.

This area and house is very nice!

This was a very nice place a classic beach house! I'm glad this is where we ended up the people are just amazing David and Tom are good people!! The neighborhood is nice and relaxed. I love the beach is very close straight up 36th and it's right there and the WaWa and stores are also very close. The house was very clean and over all was a great place to stay highly recommend to anyone. I'd hope to stay again one day.

Loved Ocean City

Great location close by to everything. Enough space for a family of 5. We had access to washer and dryer which was amazing. Overall we had a great time. Thank you

Nice, clean and affordable

Clean, reasonably priced shore spot, especially since it was just my sons, their buddies and me (Mom was away). Pretty much everything we needed to enjoy our week in OCNJ. Only issue was a missing toilet plunger and things got dicey one night! We got by just fine though!

Great location, clean and perfect size for my family!

We had a wonderful week. The house is in the perfect location. Close enough to walk to the beach, great park for little ones, and away from the noise of the board walk but very short drive when you want to go and enjoy it.

1st Family Vacation

We visited this property for our first family-friendly vacation (children ages 3 and 1) The house was the perfect size for a small family and very safe for young children (no steps). Location was perfect! Walking distance to beach, park, ice cream, hoagies, and pancakes! Very clean and modestly decorated (we weren't scared to touch things), anything fancier would have been stressful with the little ones. My mother in law joined in on the fun and felt exactly the same! Quick drive to Atlantic City for a fun date night! Would recommend this property to family and friends and would stay here in the future! Happy Vacationing!
