We had a lovely stay at the Salt Pond. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. We had a ton of fun swimming, paddling and crabbing on the pond, and the community pool and courts were a nice bonus. It’s a great place for a large group or family.

Very spacious home with lots of space to spread out. Beautiful views and great kitchen for cooking meals. Lots of outdoor decks and spaces to enjoy nature and the views. Beach is close by about 5 minute drive. Development is nice and community pool was so nice. Everyone was friendly and accessing the pool was easy.

This was a wonderful family-friendly house. We made prolific use of the indoor pool facility (we stayed during the winter), and our children loved the playroom. We also really appreciate the “living room” space on both the second and top floors - it gave us plenty of space for kids and grownups. The kitchen was well-appointed. We would love to go back in warmer weather when we can use the wonderful outdoor space.

Description and photos were spot on. Host was helpful and accomodating. Beautiful house that has it all. Having the pier, kayaks and beautiful decks was such a pleasure. Seeing the sunrise and sunsets, the moon, the herons fly by (or stop by) perfection. Close to everythign.

The quiet solitude of the property was something my family and I loved. The neighbors and community were nice and I thank you for you working with us to book it. It is also really close to Ocean City which was amazing as well. Thank you again.

Second time

This was our second year staying at this picturesque property! It is so peaceful. Location is convenient to everything. This large home allows all of us so spread out and have our own space too!

Amazing Place

This is the second time we returned to the same place and we all loved it. Amazing surroundings and biking distance to the Bethany beach broadwalk. Host is very responsive and was helpful at each step providing the best support to make out stay very comfortable. Highly recommend to friends/ family due to large space.

Perfect house for our group of cousins to hold a mini reunion! We were disappointed that the dock was not operational but it turned out to be a minor issue.

Our family was overwhelmingly blessed to stay at this home! Everything you need is provided. It was so comfortable for everyone. Wonderful location. So peaceful. We can’t wait until next year!! ❤️

wonderful stay!

We had a fabulous time in this gorgeous home on the beautiful Salt Pond. Definitely bring your binoculars because there are so many beautiful and interesting birds to view from the THREE decks. Being able to take the kayaks and canoe out from the dock was a real treat, and the playroom was a hit with the younger kids in our group. And the large and comfortable hammocks were everyone's favorite. Having access to the indoor pool and spa at the Salt Pond clubhouse was also terrific for us during the off season when it was too cold for swimming at the beach. I definitely want to return!

Great House for enjoying Salt Pond

Communication with the owner was excellent, she took the time to answer all our questions. We were most interested in exploring the pond in our kayaks. We brought our own plus used the house’s kayaks, which were in good working order. The dock was well kept and easy to load an unload from. Enough dishes for all of us (7). The updated kitchen was a big plus.

Beach Family Vacation 2024

Our first family vacation in 13 years. Our kids all grow now with spouses and baby with another on the way…12 of us. This house accommodated all our needs. We spent the majority of our time at the beach. We knew in the reviews to bring linens (or rent them). The kitchen is well stocked. Very convenient having a grocery store nearby. Communication with Stephanie was easy with quick responses to all my questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Enchanting home

This home sits on a beautiful lot overlooking the pond. The landscaping is amazing and sitting on the deck is wonderfully peaceful with the sounds of the water and abundant wildlife. The house has many common areas for anyone to get away and have some solitude or for smaller groups to gather without disturbing others. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of storage. It gets a little crowded when you have multiple people who want to be involved in the cooking, but otherwise completely functional. We would certainly consider staying again.

Perfect For Family Gatherings

We loved our visit to Bethany Beach and staying in the Salt Pond Community. We were near family in the same community which worked out perfectly. The home is beautiful, spacious and family-friendly. With three floors, multiple decks, and the garden and dock, there was plenty of space for multiple family members to enjoy the experience of staying in a home on the canal. The views from the decks and the dock are stunning. The kitchen was stocked with cookware and dishware which accommodated family meals. We were able to cook a full pasta dinner for extended family and utilize the kitchen tools to meet our needs. The dining area was perfect for a 90th birthday celebration and looked great with decorations! We enjoyed the use of the kayak on the canal multiple days. This home is 5-10 minutes away from a grocery store and downtown Bethany Beach. The owners were quick to communicate with us before and during our stay and were very flexible and accommodating. We have already recommended this VRBO home to other family members and hope to come back for a future visit.

Great outdoor features!

This house fit our needs very well. Two families - 5 kids. Not everyone in our group loves the beach so there were days when some of us stayed at the house. Access to the Salt Pond is one of the best features of this property. Kids and dads did lots of fishing, crabbing, kayaking & canoeing. We biked most evenings around the neighborhood - a flat 1.8 mile loop. The guys golfed and played ping pong. There was no hot tub as listed unless I missed it. Getting to Bethany beach takes about 10 minutes. We also went to the inlet, Fenwick, Ocean City and Rehobeth. The interior is a bit dated. Kitchen could use a good cleaning and it would have been nice to have more space available for our dry foods in the pantry. The TVs are older and channel selection was not up to everyone's standards (no HGTV or Foodnetwork!). There are 3 bathrooms in the house - one per floor. Not a true master bedroom with attached bath though. And the adults staying on the 2nd floor had to share a bath with all 5 kids. Most comfortable part of the house were the decks and porch. That said, I would stay here again purely for the pleasure of the view and outdoor features. Owner was very easy to communicate with as well.

The hot tub in this house is a two-person size jacuzzi bath in the master bathroom with hot water jets and a sun lamp. The bathroom on the third floor serves the whole third floor- i.e. master bedroom and also serves people using the kitchen, dining area, living room, porch, and deck with the BarBQ. The third full bath serves the "garden level" bedroom and related areas. For 2013, we have new TV, new DVD player, improved internet, and have made more space in the walk-in pantry. All corners in the kitchen have been thoroughly cleaned and touched up.

Excellent place off season

The weather was beautiful and the place was great. No crowds at the beach. Suggestion, have a pair or 2 of binoculars to bird watch from the decks. We did run out of propane for the grill and the spare was empty also

This is a perfect getaway! We really enjoyed the house and the surroundings.

The host, Stephanie was very easy to work with and was very helpful in the entire process. I would definitely go back to the house and the surroundings are unbelievably beautiful!

Relaxing Pond House

This house is in an amazing location, right on the pond, with beautiful views. We loved sitting on the decks and relaxing at the end of the day. There are lovely gardens around the house where you can enjoy the cool breezes. We appreciated having access to the kayaks and paddleboards to use on the pond as well. The house is spacious and homey. There are a lot of books and games available and you can tell it is a well-loved family home. There were a couple of minor things that could be improved like having hairdryers available and connecting the 2nd floor TV to the Direct TV. The benches on the dock need to be replaced as the slats are falling out. However we would definitely stay here again.
