Historic Home with Modern Upgrades; Urban Getaway by Lucky Savannah

A perfect home for a traveling couple, this luxurious retreat has a unique layout with seating areas both upstairs and downstairs. The alternating exposed brick and grey wood panel walls give a rustic feel to the industrial decor.

You’ll find everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The first floor has a large couch and TV, a dining table for four, and a half bath tucked away under the staircase. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, beautiful dark cabinets, and a breakfast bar for morning musings.

Upstairs is a spacious primary suite with a king sized bed and sitting area. The balcony off of the bedroom is perfect for catching a sunset, having a cup of coffee, or reading a book. The bathroom has an open shower with built-in seating and a large vanity with plenty of room to get ready for an evening on the town.

You’ll be just a quick walk from Mrs. Wilkes Dining House on Jones Street, where you’ll find some of the best Southern home cooking in the city. Take a leisurely morning stroll through Forsyth Park to people watch while having coffee at the Sentient Bean, and don’t forget to check their upcoming events for live music and theatrical performances!

Downtown Savannah

We didn’t get an opportunity to stay in the property because of some challenges my husband was having. The property is located perfectly, most cost effective parking was there using meter. Everywhere else was 48-50. The hosts were very accommodating and sensitive to our concerns and we appreciated that.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental is great. In a great location. It was very quiet for us at night, but we do travel with a dome. Place is clean and the AC split units are amazing and the place stays cold. The units are quiet so whoever says they are loud, don't believe them. Company was very responsive for one small request.

Perfect, spot on

We have been traveling for 3 months and this is by far the cleanest place we stayed at and the location within Savannah was exactly what we wanted. The pictures are accurate, very comfortable to stay. It is right next to Forsyth park and easy walking to anything you would want to see, even the river front is about 15 minutes. Felt very safe and we found free parking on Hutchingdon, two streets away a 5 minute walk. Make sure to pay attention to signs and when they sweep the street you may have to move your car to the other side of street. There is a little lane adjacent to property to pull into to unload suitcases etc, can't park there though. Currently there is not a washer or dryer which would be helpful, looks like they may be trying to add it in. Also the lower bathroom is not very private but staying with my spouse so no big deal. (I did need to use a suction cup hook on mirror to hold the hand towel there was no place to hang it and sink area was small.) I would highly recommend this place and when we visit Savannah in the future definitely will be returning here.

Very Nice... We would stay again.

The property is very nice. Conveniently located by Forsyth Park. We walked everywhere. It is conveniently located in an ideal spot for the activities we planned. The comment others have made about the bathroom doors is correct. They need a handle on the inside. There is basically no privacy on the main floor bathroom though (sliding door that hangs open), so know that before going.

Spring Getaway

Charming carriage house in convient location to walk/visit Savannah sites. Check in was a bit challenging at night due to poor entry way to the house with unven brick and stepping stone lined walkway. Once settled everything was perfect with modern appliances/updates in historic house.

Joseph came by to help us with the tvs on Friday night. What an amazing young man! He made our trip extra special and we thank him for the help and the wonderful conversation. We are already talking about coming back! Thank you!!!

nice, quiet spot for a couple with no kids

Reviewer Comments: we've stayed in various rentals throughout savannah trying to find the place we want to keep returning to. this one almost fit the bill as it was in an excellent location with ample parking and was relatively quiet. bonus for not having to worry about hearing other people clomping around at all hours of the day since this is it's own stand alone property. the only blemish in our stay was the shower situation. the shower upstairs was an exercise in frustration in that we never got it to work. fortunately there is a shower downstairs too but it's one of those rain showers that are pretty in theory but ridiculous in practice. but if you don't mind that type of shower, then i'd highly recommend staying here! maybe by the time you stay here, they'll have fixed whatever chaos is happening with the upstairs shower!

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our stay with Lucky Savannah. The pictures and descriptions of the rental were accurate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Loved being within walking distance or a short drive of local shops and restaurants. They were very accommodating and responded to our needs in a timely manner… they brought us additional towels and even a can opener per our requests. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dish ware, glass ware, cooking ware, etc. The premise were very clean and we felt very safe Throughout our stay. Thank you for making our 26th Anniversary a memorable one.. Yes, we would recommend this rental to couples visiting the Savannah area.

Lovely hidden gem!

This place exceeded our expectations! I loved how quiet and intimate it was! It felt like we were walking through a secret garden each time we came back or left. We would absolutely reserve this place again! It is conveniently located to everything! The place was clean, well decorated, and had modern amenities while still embracing the historical charm! The only critique I would give is the need for a washer and dryer, that would have made it perfect! We'll definitely be back!!

Comfortable, close to Forsyth Park

Less than a block from Forsyth, Dot (free city bus) stop literally a few steps from the door. Rental has two full bathrooms, comfy couch with cable TV and full kitchen. Only downsides are poor lighting from outer gate to front door (cellphone flashlight was helpful) and limited cookware available in kitchen (no frying pan).

Charming Carriage House in Great Location

The carriage house embodies the charm and uniqueness of Savannah. We loved having the little courtyard. The space was perfect for two people. Our only complaint was the lack of handles on the inside of the sliding bathroom doors. Other than that, we were very happy. The location is right at the edge of Forsyth Park and in the historic district. We were easily able to find parking on the street but also walked everywhere.

Good location terrible property maintenance

Property is in a nice location. That's literally the only good thing about it. Kitchen was filthy. It's clear the cleaning crews do the most basic of wipe downs. The fridge and stove had stains all over them, the coffee maker basket had never been cleaned in its life. We washed all the dishes prior to first use as some still had food stuck to them. Overall cleanliness of the property was well below even the level of the most budget of hotel chains. House had ants on both floors. We woke up the first morning and found ants even in our toothbrushes. It rained every day during our stay and it's clear the property manager doesn't do any building maintenance. The double doors on both the main level and 2nd floor leaked badly leaving pools of water under them and running down the walls to pool at the base of the stairs. There is also a roof leak that was evident based off the water coming from the light fixture in the shower. The only reason we didn't leave was the fact that we had so many excursions planned in the city that we were only in the property to sleep. It's only redeeming quality was the fact that it's located very centrally in the historic district. 1000000% do not recommend. Renters beware.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was perfect! It was roomy and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Nights were quiet, bed was extremely comfortable, showers were clean, and air conditioners on both floors were quiet and worked well. The courtyard and balcony were beautiful places to enjoy a cup of coffee or eat dinner leftovers. Forsyth Park was a block away so we visited often to enjoy a view of the fountain, the Sunday Farmers Market, and receive palm roses from street vender, Will. We felt safe because someone was always around walking their dog or jogging. Location is across the street from the Mercer Williams House Museum, a few blocks from great coffee - Origin Coffee Bar, best coffee I ever had! and the Sentient Bean. We walked most of the time, used free DOT bus and free ferry, and Uber to places farther away like Tybee Beach. Highly recommend this rental for a relaxing and memorable stay in Savannah!

1st time visitors

It was our first time visiting Savannah and it was recommended to stay downtown, close to everything. The location of this property was decent to be able to walk around town. It’s a cute space.
