Just steps to the Beach & Pool, Private Balcony, Free Wifi, 2B/2B

Located directly 60 yards from the beach at South Padre Island. This non-smoking 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo was beautifully renovated with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and updated furniture. Fall asleep and wake up to the soothing sound of ocean waves and view an amazing sunrise right from the spacious balcony. The large furnished balcony is a great place to entertain and enjoy the ocean in a more private setting. The condominium complex has 2 huge pools that are heated.

This 2 bedroom condo sleeps up to 8 people comfortably with a King size bed, 2 full size beds and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. The condo is equipped with blender, coffee pot, microwave, Wi-Fi, 3 flat screen TVs, cable with 6 HBO and 4 ESPN channels, linens and bath towels. A guest laundry facility is provided on the property. Small pets under 20lbs are allowed.

Water sports, beach chairs and umbrella rentals are available at the beach.

All you need to bring with you is swimwear, food, beach towels and beach gear to have a wonderful time in the aqua blue waters of South Padre Island. THERE REALLY IS A PARADISE IN TEXAS!

Water activities include Schlitterbahn Beach Water park, dolphin watch, boogie boarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, jet ski rentals, Parasailing, banana boat rides, kayak rentals,surfing and sailboat rentals and much more. There is also miniature golf, Go-Karts and Bungee Jumping for those adrenaline junkies.

For the fisherman in the family, there is bay fishing, deep sea fishing, fishing at the jetties, pier, surf and fly fishing. Off-site bird and turtle watching and beach four-wheeling are popular island activities. Other activities include horseback riding and the Laguna Madre Nature Trail. Visit the historical Port Isabel or take a 30 minute drive to Brownsville to one of the top zoos in the country—The Gladys Porter Zoo. Across the border is Matamoros, Mexico. For golfers, there is golf on the Gulf of Mexico at the South Padre Island Golf Club in Laguna Vista.

Spacious condo in an excellent location!

My family and I loved staying here. It was such a short walk to the beach, to several restaurants and was right across the street from the turtles. The place was beautifully decorated, roomy, had everything we possibly needed in the kitchen and had beach chairs and gear for us to use. The A/C worked wonderfully. The owner communicated with me immediately. I had some trouble figuring out the door lock but he answered me right away and I got it figured out. We had a great vacation experience and would definitely stay here again.

Family Beach Trip

Great condo, very comfortable and roomy. Everything you need is available. Walking distance to beach and Sea Turtle Institute. 10 out 10, would recommend!

Great place to stay

We were snow birding in Texas and had a great time in the Tiki resort. There were 2 heated pools on site. We played shuffle board on the new board. The grounds were so well maintained it looks like a park. The condo is just as it is listed with 2 BR 2 bathrooms. There are restaurants/ bars within walking distance. There is many things to do on island. Beach is very close and fireworks on Fri/Sat was super fun. The people at the front desk were very helpful. Only downfall is no washer/ dryer in unit. There is one on site but coin operated and having to haul laundry down 14 stairs to the laundry was a lot for someone staying 4 months and got very expensive too. I would recommend this rental for families/ couples or traveling with friends. I really appreciated it being pet friendly too.

Our second time at this unit!

We loved this condo so much the first time here that we had to come back again. It is clean and roomy and has all you need for cooking. It has 2 bedrooms (3beds) and 2 bathrooms. I thought family members were going to join us, but it didn’t work out for anybody so my husband and I had the whole place to ourselves. Hoping we can stay here again next year some time.

Beach Wedding

Tiki did not disappoint. Condo was clean, beautifully decorated and stocked with all the essentials. Great stay for our son's wedding. We'll be back.

Great spot!!!

Beautiful space that was ice cold in the middle of Texas summer! Very clean, comfortable beds, so close to everything. We came for a girls’ weekend with 6 of us and had an amazing time! Highly recommend!!!

Love this place. Have stayed at various units in this complex and all have been very nice. This one was no exception. The only thing I can fault it on is there were absolutely no hangers in the closet. Otherwise, I was very happy with the place.

South Padre never disappoints and this stay was no different. Everything was as stated, as planned, and in place. This was a very nice place to stay.

Beach vacation

Overall it was a good trip although there a few things that could be better. When I arrived it was later in the early evening and office was closed. The door lock and lockbox both need replacing as it was quite difficult to open causing me to break a nail and needing help from a neighbor to get in. when we walked in it smelled like mildew. There is no exhaust fan in the restrooms and the smell could be caused from mold in the attic area. However as my child has allergies he almost immediately started sneezing. Thank goodness I was prepared with meds on hand. The place was clean. It had 2 restrooms and 2 bedrooms. Well stocked kitchen area in case of cooking. Well stocked closet with beach items available for use. Patio is off all the rooms which was a nice detail. Beach at the end of the parking lot was great and within walking distance. Sea turtle conservatory is right across the road from the buildings as well which is why we went to Padre Island so that was great. Did not like that it was the 2nd story. LoL. The pool was great. All in all it was nicely decorated. I think the only other downfall is that the mattress was harder and sheets rougher than I would have liked. We had a good time and stayed for 5 nights. We would stay here again in the future. Hopefully those things are fixed before

Want to relax? Run from this site. Book a hotel

First of all when I walked into the rental it had not been cleaned. There were linens piled everywhere. Second of all, I was charged 200$ because some dishes were left (after I already loaded the dishwasher) and the floors werent clean (mostly sand from what I remember). And some "damage to the paint" which I didnt see when we left. I could tell this host was a little neurotic because I have stayed in these type of places before and never seen a lable where everything goes like "8 plates here" or "17 kniefs" or "everything has been video recorded". If you want to relax on your vacation and not worry about cleaning the floors before you leave, I suggest a hotel. I know I wont rent one of these again.

It's just a few steps from everything you need.

Kitchen was tight and beds were a bit firm. Other than that we loved the convenience of this condos location. We had dinner at Bar Louie, got a drink from Claytons, and the rest of our stay we laid by the beach and pool! This place had pretty much everything you needed. The distance to and from the beach wasn't bad either. We did enjoy our stay and rated 5 star for location, convenience, and cleanliness.

A great return visit

The unit had everything we needed to prepare meals, and plenty of toys and gear for young kids. Beds and furniture were comfortable, and the space is clean, updated, and well-decorated. The grounds at the Tiki are well maintained and safe with a good presence of staff, ground crew, and security. Everyone was so friendly! This was our family's second stay at "the mermaid beach house" and we will definitely be back next year!

Wonderful location! The room had everything we needed plus some. Easy to communicate with owner with fast responses. We couldnt get the dvd player to work in the living room to watch movies. Definitely recommend!

Great Location!!!!

To me no better location on the island! Loved the restaurants/Bar choices steps from here. The bird sanctuary across the street was great. Condo was roomy and description spot on. The only time we got in the car was to horseback ride at the end of the Island, which I highly recommend. Owner was very responsive with questions and refunding since we decided not to bring our dogs. Will definetly book again!

Winter break

The condo was everything it was advertised as. It worked well for us with four adults and two small children. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms was great. As a bonus there were some beach toys, pool noodles, and other amenities for the kiddos. Everything worked well. The only small suggestion would be that we needed more paper goods and garbage bags.
