Welcome to Charlie's Casa at the Colony by the Sea by KEES Vacations!

The ultimate in classic Outer Banks vacations awaits you at your 1-bedroom oceanfront condominium in Duck.

Convenient to shopping, dining, attractions and activities, this location in Duck is ideal. You may never want to leave the golden sands of the Outer Banks beach, but if you must, everything you could desire is just a few moments away.

Bring your coffee out to your oceanfront balcony in the morning and gaze at the waves crashing in. To access the beautiful beach, all you must do is cross over the community dune deck and paradise awaits you. This condominium also offers community grills and a coin-operated laundry facility.

Charlie's Casa at Colony by the Sea provides a vintage and comfortable atmosphere for your vacation. This 1 bedroom, 2 bath condo unit is a great choice for friends who are traveling together, a small family, or a couple. A King bedroom and a twin over twin alcove bunk set in the hallway provides sleeping accommodations for 4.

This soothing condo unit offers all of your core vacation needs. The stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare snacks and meals. The dining table can seat up to 4 with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The living room has plenty of seating for the whole group with access to the balcony to watch the waves roll in.

The Colony by the Sea condominiums provide a true Outer Banks experience for all vacationers! Enjoy access to the Colony by the Sea community amenities, including an oceanfront community pool, beach access, a community BBQ area with picnic tables, swing sets, courts, and laundry facilities.

This property has 2 parking spots for guests.

**Private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on Memorial Day and close after Labor Day. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

This was a perfectly appointed condo for a beach get away. Perfect for a couple or a family of four given the well-placed bunk beds and 2 full bathrooms. The condo had every amenity you can imagine and a fully stocked kitchen with every utensil and cookware needed. Best was the beach vibe in the decor and the ocean view/sound! We would definitely go back! Thank you!

This was such a charming condo! It was clean, perfectly sized for our visit, and we loved the back deck where we could see and hear the ocean. It was a quick, easy walk to the beach. We would definitely come back!

July 4th in Duck

Simply no better place to stay and play. The views and sounds of the ocean are incredible. My only advice is that I would recommend this unit for a small family

Great stay!

We enjoyed our time in Duck! The property was perfectly located in Duck, making it easy to walk or drive to many things. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the beautiful view. The kids also enjoyed the pool and we utilized many of the community amenities.

Ideal location with ocean views and walkable to the town of Duck. The unit was as advertised with a comfortable king bed and a well stocked kitchen. There is also access to a clean community pool. 10/10 would recommend!

Always great to be in Duck

We enjoyed yet another stay at Charlie’s Casa. As the kids get older it gets a little more snug but the pull out couch suited just fine.

Sweet condo in the heart of Duck!

This clean and well-appointed condo is located just off the main path in Duck, NC. Right on the ocean, the views are incredible. You'll love staying at Charlie's Casa!

Great Stay!

This was our first time coming to Duck,NC and we came for our 10-year anniversary. The condo was updated and loved the touches that the owner did to the condo. It was great having a smart TV and Alexa to use. Great view of the ocean and short walk to the beach. We highly recommend this place and hope to return for our 11-year anniversary.

Perfect Beach Location!

What a treat! This condo has such amazing and easy access to the beach with incredible views as well. This was our 4 year old’s first trip to the beach, and this couldn’t have been any easier for her. The condo was spacious for a family of 3 and had every amenity we could have needed. Absolutely would stay here again!

Lovely oceanfront property

Clean, well appointed. It was in the first level, so not a lot of stairs, which we appreciated. We could see and hear the ocean, but not the waves breaking. Thank you

This apartment was nothing like the listing. The air conditioning, washing machine, and blinds were all broken. The place was dirty, with stained furniture and even blood on the towels. We left after only a few hours and had to pay for a new place ourselves. The host stopped responding and Vrbo has done nothing so far. Avoid this listing and beware of the false advertising.

Great View on a Quiet Neighborhood

This is a nicely maintained condo in a quiet neighborhood with quick access to the beach and a nice pool. We had a great time sitting on the balcony listening to the waves and we actually saw deer one night grazing in the shrubbery outside the pool area. The kitchen was very well appointed and I had no trouble cooking and preparing meals. The only complaints I have are as follows: The Internet was not great. I was consistently having to reconnect on my phone and was never able to connect to streaming on the tvs. The TV in the bedroom wasn't able to complete its setup and so I couldn't use it, which was kind of a nuisance because I like having the background noise on at night. Luckily, my friend brought his laptop and we were able to connect it to the TV in order to watch streaming services. There were a few lights that were not working; the bathroom had 2 of the 3 bulbs out and one of the overhead lights was burnt out as well. Also, there was a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and trash on the balcony when we arrived. Overall, that did not deter us from having a great time and I would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing stay with a couple of hickups

Great view of ocean from deck and unit. We had a bug issue with ants in kitchen and a bug in our bed that startled my wife and made her uncomfortable. Called Kees and they had the home treated by pest control company the next day. We thought the unit could have been cleaner. It was just ok from a cleanliness standpoint. Overall our stay was a 6 on scale of 1-10 due to the issues mentioned above.

Enjoyed stay in Duck!

The property was great and showed as advertised. The short distance to the beach made it easy to go back and forth as needed during the day. We would stay here again.

Comfortable Stay in Duck

Enjoyed a relaxing 4-night stay in Duck at the end of July. Property was very clean and well maintained. That's where the positives ended. Never received the passcode for entry as promised 24 hours before check-in, and had to call Kees on the drive down that morning. Wifi was spotty and constantly disconnecting. We had to constantly reconnect, which was irritating for my husband who was trying to work remote while here. Sent several inquiries for the Property Manager via the VRBO feature and never got any responses to my questions prior to arrival. Soap dispenser in the master bath needs to be better secured as it kept falling off the wall. Walls are extremely thin. We were regularly awoken by heavy walking above us early in the morning and late at night. That said, the location is very convenient to everything in Duck. Kids really enjoyed the pool. There are tons of jellyfish in the area now, you can't really go in the ocean due to sea lice. Overall, we prefer the smaller crowds in Corolla and will likely be going back there on our next OBX visit. If you're used to the comforts of a hotel then I recommend you keep looking, this was a very old building and a bit below our standards.
