Villa Liberty with fantastic view,close to a farm in a traditional village.

House Liberty is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing vacation with panoramic view the mountains of south Crete and the Libyan sea.
Our house is new constructed and it consists of two bedrooms ,one bathroom,a kitchen ,a living room ,a place for BBQ and a big tarrace with spectacular view.
The house is ideal for 2-4 people(it is available a cot and an extra bed)with private swimming pool .There are sunbeds and umbrellas for use.Outside there is parking area,garden with different kind of herbs and place to enjoy the barbecue and the oven made from firebricks.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dish-washer too .In the living room there are traditional hand made furniture and a T.V.In the first bedroom there is a comfortable double bed with 2 bedside tables and a wardrobe.In the second bedroom there are 2 single beds with 2 bedside tables ,a wardrobe and a desk.Both bedrooms have wooden floor and A/C.
House Liberty is suitable for relaxing, cycling , climbing , hiking , swimming , diving , in a very quiet and peaceful place. Alternatively , you can stay in our villa , admire the view while watching the children playing . We have our own traditional farm animals ( horses , goats , sheep , rabbits , cats and dogs) and our own organic crops trees and vines . Upon request you can have a ride on horseback or contact with nature , to see our animals and our traditional sectors and to taste our traditional products (wine , raki , olive oil , milk , eggs , cheese) .
A short walk to village Drimiskos you can find two restaurants -cafés and enjoy the Cretan - traditional cuisine . Spili (7km) is a town with restaurants , cafes , shops and more services .Also in Kerame (3km) there are 2 mini markets. Just 5-15 minutes by car, you can find beaches Ligres , Triopetra Preveli , Amoudi , Holy Fire and St.Paul. We are less than an hour drive from the cosmopolitan and picturesque town of Rethymno.
We are a traditional cretan family with two children.You can visit our farm,our village and also we will do our best to feel the cretan hospital.

It’s a very silent and remote place with no neighbours watching seeing into the court or pool. The landlady and her family are very courteous!

Wonderful stay. The host was great. Quick to reply to messages and very knowledgeable about the area. The house was great. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool isn’t massive but was plenty big enough to cool down and the children loved playing in it. The area is stunning. Amazing views and a number of great beaches within a short drive. We were treated to a hot mousaka on our arrival and the kitchen was brilliantly stocked with wine and treats and home made cheese. On one of the days we got a tour of the farm and a the kids got to ride a horse. We felt very looked after. Brilliant place if your looking for a quite stay in the awe inspiring Crete mountains.

Very beautiful but very remote

The view from this property is amazing! Eleftheria was very kind and made us moussaka and Greek salad for our arrival. The interior is very traditional. The remoteness and distance from supplies was a bit of an issue for us as we like to cook and the grocery stores were a long way away down winding narrow mountain roads and didn’t have a lot of selection. If you like solitude and a beautiful views this is the place for you.

Was as good as shown on the App, (i have noticed that a lot of Villas on the App are shown as having a Hot tub/Spa which in this case is wrong and so for a lot of others one`s) however that did not detract from our holiday all was excellent, Owners, Property,Location and Surrounding area, the owner provided a meal on our arrival, which was very welcome and was of a very high standard, we visited 6 local taverna`s in the area and was not disappointed by any of them. we would return no doubt in the future.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you in this fabulous unspoilt quiet part of beautiful Crete. A two hour drive from Chania airport through stunning scenery. The villa is spotless and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed fabulous homemade cheese from Manolis and a wonderful array of homemade goodies including raki, jam, olive oil and wine. A welcome pack that was very considerate from the farm and much appreciated. Many thanks to Eleftheria for making our stay so comfortable and we will without a doubt be back next year. Special spot

Villa Liberty sits tucked into a hill with far reaching views to the unspoilt and rugged cost, Very charming and spectacular at any time of the day. Sun from morning until dusk. Very quiet and relaxing. House very comfortable inside and out. Loved the area and local tavernas. Cretans so friendly and kind. Eleftheria gave us some of the farm's delicious produce and made a moussaka for our first night and traditional little cheese cakes half way through. Must get the recipe! She invited us to attend a Mass and memorial service in Drimiskos church which was a unique experience. Car is a must. Good little supermarket in Kerames nearby. Would love to return.

Amazing location

We could see from the photos there were mountains round about but were not prepared for just how magnificent and scenic the area is. We loved it! The villa itself is traditional in style and has everything that you need. It would be difficult to find the turning the first time so Eleftheria will meet you and show you. After that it is easy. Eleftheria is a very generous host and made us a delicious moussaka for when we arrived. Also provided were olive oil, wine, raki & some bottled water. You do need to stock up with an amount of bottled water as the water cannot be drunk from the tap. There are lots of places to visit and beaches within easy reach. We will definitely be returning to Crete.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus! Das Haus ist sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht.Auch der Pool war ein Highlight mit der wunderbaren Aussicht über das Meer und die Berge. Ideal, um nach einem sonnigen Tag zu entspannen.Ein großes Lob geht auch an die Gastgeberin: Sie war unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr nett mit leckerem Essen und Getränken empfangen und bekamen viele nützliche Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Man merkt, dass ihr das Wohl ihrer Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt.Wir haben uns von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute rundum wohlgefühlt und können dieses Ferienhaus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich und mit frisch zubereiteter Moussaka empfangen. Eleftheria ist die perfekte Gastgeberin: super Kommunikation, immer hilfsbereit und freundlich und absolut zuverlässig bei Absprachen. Das Haus ist einfach und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Die Lage bietet einem einen fantastischen Ausblick und absolute Ruhe. Ein Auto ist unabkömmlich - damit sind verschiedene Strände in ca. 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen!Vielen Dank für die liebenswerte Gastfreundschaft!

Bon accueil, mais expérience en demi-teinte

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Eleftheria, qui s’est montrée disponible et réactive tout au long du séjour. Un repas fait maison, vin rouge, fromage et huile d'olive pour notre accueil. La vue depuis la maison est magnifique ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié.Malheureusement, certains éléments ont gâché notre expérience. Nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de trouver plusieurs araignées à l’intérieur, certaines très grosses. L’un d’entre nous a été piqué la nuit, ce qui a entraîné un gonflement et nous avons dû aller voir un médecin, avec prises d’antibiotiques. Par ailleurs, des bruits désagréables comme des coups de marteaux se faisaient entendre dans la chambre principale lors de vents forts, probablement liés à l’installation récente de la climatisation. Enfin, la piscine et l’emplacement ne correspondaient pas tout à fait à ce que nous avions imaginé à partir de l’annonce, qui donne une impression un peu plus flatteuse qu’en réalité. La piscine est vraiment minuscule, et la plage la plus proche a une demi-heure. Malgré ces désagréments, nous retenons la gentillesse de notre hôte. Nous espérons que les remarques seront prises en compte pour améliorer l’expérience des futurs voyageurs.

I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the insects — we arranged pest control the next day after your message. The house is in a natural setting, and we’ve since taken extra precautions. The noise you heard was due to unusually strong winds during your stay affecting the new A/C unit, which has now been adjusted. Most of the listing photos were taken with my phone to reflect the property as honestly as possible… Your comments help me improve, and I truly appreciate that. Tolle Aussicht/extrem ruhig

Die Lage vom Haus ist traumhaft und unbezahlbar. Der Pool war undicht und nicht wirklich benutzbar. Durch den starken Wind hatten wir Probleme mit Fenster und Türen, die leider extrem undicht waren. Auch der Preis der "Endreinigung" (mehr als 20 Stunden) war unserer Meinung nach überteuert. Eleftheria und Manolis waren sehr gastfreundlich. Wir wünschen der Familie alles Gute für weiterhin.

Dear Maria and Adolf, Thank you for your feedback but I am really sad because our successful season ends with your review that is not completely true. It was your misunderstanding that we charge extra the final cleaning .As you saw on the receipt that I provided, the extra money was for the commission to Vrbo and NOT FOR CLEANING . We never charge cleaning extra,it is included on the price. I am really apologise for the unexpected problem in the pool but it wasn’t possible to fix it during your stay. Also about the problem with the windows, you should have informed me because there is a safety on the side that stabilises the windows . However,I hope you keep the good memories from the time that we spent at my house enjoying the coffee with the traditional treats that I offered and all the information that I gave you for our area. Wunderbarer Ort für eine entspannte Urlaubswoche!

Wir hatten eine ganz tolle Woche in der traumhaft gelegenen Villa Liberty. Sie ist super ausgestattet und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Wir kamen sehr spät an und wurden mit einem sehr leckeren warmen Essen und Getränken empfangen. Das war toll! Die Kommunikation mit Manolis und Eleftherias klappte prima. Sie waren sehr bemüht und gastfreundlich. Der Pool ist ideal zum Abkühlen. Wir haben die Ruhe in Drimiskos sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Wunderbare Wochen im Oktober 2023

Die Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich und unkompliziert; wir wurden spät abends unkompliziert mit Moussaka, Salat, Wein und Raki in Empfang genommen. Auch zwischendurch wurden wir mit Kuchen und Gebäck verwöhnt. Eine Zwischenreinigung war ebenfalls inklusive. Das Haus ist wunderbar für 4 Personen, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Es war teilweise sehr windig, aber die überdachte Terrasse bietet einen guten Windschutz. Die Aussicht ist großartig. Das Dorf Drimiskos wirkt eher verlassen, aber die empfohlene Taverne ist urig und das Essen sehr lecker. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hoffen, dass wir einmal wiederkommen können! Vielen Dank!

Un accueil incroyable

La maison est grande et très bien équipée, au calme et surtout avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et le coucher de soleil. Nos soirées dans cette maison vont longtemps nous rester en tête tellement nous étions bien. Mais plus que tout, nous nous souviendrons de la gentillesse de notre hôte, Eleftheria, dont le sens de l accueil et du service est extraordinaire. Nous n avons jamais été si bien accueilli dans une location de vacances, et donc nous recommandons cette maison à 100%

Peace and quiet just what we wanted

The property is lovely just like the photos but bigger. We loved our stay here the weather was good for 5 days then change for 5 . You definitely need a car to get about. Elefyheria and family are lovely there was food when we arrived, cheese,wine and oil she also popped in a few times with homemade treats Great place Sandra and Paul xx

Großartige Unterkunft in authentischer Umgebung mit tollen Gatstgebern

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt als Familie sehr genossen. Die Vermieter, Elefteria und Manolis, haben sich großartig um uns gekümmert und uns auch zu später Ankunftszeit am Samstagabend, mit einem warmen Essen und eigenen Produkten für die ersten Tage empfangen. Dazu haben sie sich auch zwischendurch wiederholt erkundigt und nach dem rechten geschaut. Zwischendurch wurde das Haus sogar für uns noch einmal gereinigt. Das Haus liegt etwas höher in den Bergen. Dies und der regelmäßig ordentliche Wind gepaart mit dem ganztägig unübertrefflichen Ausblick machen auch einen Tag mit Aufenthalt nur am Haus sehr erholsam. Gleich um die Ecke im Dorf Drhimiskos gibt es eine ebenfalls großartige, freundliche-familiäre und günstige Taverne. Da könnte man täglich essen gehen… Ausflüge an die weitgehend leeren Naturstrände der Südküste, in die Berge, nach Rethymnon oder auch anderswohin sind gut machbar. Auto muss aber sein… Alles in allem eine Top-Unterkunft mit einem täglich unvergleichlichen Sonnenuntergansschauspiel… Wir kommen gerne wieder…

Fantastische Villa mit tollem Meerblick

Unsere Gastgeber waren wunderbar! Wir wurden liebevoll umsorgt! Die Villa liegt wunderbar ruhig in den Bergen, man ist aber in 10min am Strand. Das Haus läßt nichts vermissen - es ist alles da was man braucht. Unbedingt empfehlenswert - wir würden jederzeit wieder dorthin fahren. Vielen lieben Dank für diesen tollen Urlaub!

Fantastischer Ausblick, ruhige Lage

Die Unterkunft ist abgeschieden und wunderschön gelegen. Touristische Angebote findet man hier kaum, dafür einsame Strände, tolle Panoramen und eine überaus empfehlenswerte Taverne in fußläufiger Distanz. Die Gastgeberin hatte uns Olivenöl, Eier, Wein und Raki aus eigener Produktion bereitgestellt und sogar ein Abendessen für uns zubereitet. Eine solche Freundlichkeit und unaufdringliche Gastfreundschaft haben wir bisher erst sehr selten erlebt. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Es ist häufig windig in der Gegend. Die überdachte Sitzecke bietet jedoch einen guten Wind- und Sonnenschutz. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. ευχαρίστο πόλι an Eleftheria und Manolis!

Wunderbarer Ort für entspannten Urlaub

Das Haus liegt ruhig und hat einen herrlichen Ausblick auf die Berge und das Meer. Der kleine Pool ist bei Klein und Groß sehr beliebt. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Da es etwas abgelegen ist, benötigt man unbedingt einen Mietwagen. In ca. 15-20 Minuten erreicht man schöne Strände. Manchmal windet es etwas…der Bauernhof der Vermieter ist oberhalb und die Ziegen und Schafe grasen in den anliegenden Feldern- natürlich getrennt durch einen Zaun! Die Vermieter sind sehr aufmerksam und wir wurden mit Kuchen und selbst gemachtem Käse verwöhnt. Das eigene Olivenöl ist herrlich! Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall empfehlen!!
