Three bedroom condo with two brand new bathrooms. This is an ocean front home. Just steps to world famous Boardwalk and beautiful safe beach. Living Rooms have natural solid oak wood flooring. New kitchen with beautiful granite counter tops. Queen size bed in master bedroom. One bedroom has two twin beds and the other has a set of bunk beds. Large outdoor enclosed shower. Parking for 2 to 3 cars. Large vans and SUVs can park on street

Renters have told me how they love to sit on the deck at night time and watch the people walk by on the Boardwalk

Disappointing

As many others have mentioned the moldy smell is horrible. The HVAC vents are filthy so possible the odor is related? The ceiling fan appears to not have been cleaned in years. The mattresses are awful, no one slept well. There was a racoon in the garage ceiling, which I think is being addressed. If you can get past that, the location can’t be beat. My family and I will not rent here in the future.

Brendan was very responsive, location was great, and the price was amazing for the location. House could use some updates, but was great for us since we have 3 kids and a dog. Something I wish I knew that I didn’t see in the other reviews- bring your own bath towels. We had only 3 towels provided. I ran out and got some from Target, so not a big deal.Overall it was a good experience for us, but don’t go into the booking expecting a super fancy, super high end beach house.

Great location, AWFUL smell

The property has a significant air quality problem. It smelled SO BAD. Like a mix of musty mold and sewage. No amount of keeping all windows open, air purifier, door absorbers helped. The location is great but the property is in dire need of repair. The floor of the master bathroom is soft and squishy from previous water damage, the air vents and AC filters were covered in layers of fluffy dirt like they’d never been cleaned, the multiple windows couldn’t open and three wouldn’t lock at all, there was dog hair all over the couch and the toaster! The property owner was a kind man but this property needs so much help. The smell from the drains and the ac vents was so horrible we all struggled to sleep for the duration of our stay. The location is great. Would not stay here again.

Great location but very filthy

Usually my wife and I are pretty laid back about the condition of where we’re staying. But this was unbearable. The whole place had a nasty damp smell. There was mold on both shower liners. The couches looked so gross, we covered them with a sheet before using them. There were ant traps all around the kitchen sink. We used the swiffer wet to clean the floors and even after doing it twice the pads were coming up black. The location overlooking the beach and direct access to the boardwalk was awesome, but I would not recommend this place due to how disgusting it is.

Mom’s 98th birthday trip

This was the 35th year my sisters and I have taken my mom on a birthday trip. We had a great time making memories. The location could not be better. The condo could use a little TLC.

Easter weekend 2025

First I must say Brandon is very responsive on the day of check in . Second, I did not complain to him even though the house was not the unit I saw pictures of on Vrbo and rented . I did notice right away the unit I rented was next door to where he put us . I’m very go with the flow. It is what it is. It wasn’t cleaned, smelled musty as did the bedding. The furniture was not very comfortable, at all. No support at all . The house wasn’t not cleaned . And there was no cleaning supplies ? I did go to the CVS and spent 60 on cleaning supplies so I could wipe up. . Being a house cleaner for 15 years it was not clean before I got there. It did not smell clean. There was actual dirt on the windowsills that you could tell has been there. The floors were not cleaned.Etc as I said I had my own cleaning business so I know these things but anyone could tell there are no cleaners.as others have mentioned before. So be prepared. That being said it’s a great location. We loved the front porch. My family came over to dye eggs at the counter and play games and I had a great time with my family.. I kept saying it’s a shame because it’s a nice place and location,It could be a really nice place! The new shower has no water pressure at all , there also was no shower curtain? Only a liner . There was no carpets in the bathrooms? I think he needs a cleaning service. Alittle TLC would make it nice. New bedding , rugs, new trash cans .cleaning stuf . Its the little things that Bring us back.

Disappointment

No info on arrival of departure. Had to usd key instead of code. Mold in showers, dirty microwave, hair on floors, beds uncomfortable and missing top sheet. No lid on coffee pot, dirty porch. Lightbulbs out. View is great and proximity to beach was great! Parking was horrendous. Never again!

Ok stay

Stayed here due to location cause my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and cant walk far and wanted to take her to the beach 1 last time. We had 2 full days to spend but when we got there they were working on a new ac unit and was not aware of it before hand. We got there at 3 and they did not finish till 8. We had to stay till they got finsh and had to wait to eat. Needless to stay they wasted a whole day of us staying and we did not get compensated anything for our time wasted. Not only that the owner's communication was not very good at all. I would not go back to the same place again. hand

Fathers Day weekend 2024

The location was amazing especially with having three boys and their things going to the beach. My wife loved the condo so much I think she already checked the calendar for next years vacation. Location is quiet at night which made sitting on the porch at night very enjoyable. The owner was very quick to respond when we had questions or small request. The condo was fully stocked with plates, cups, and silverware, and cookware. It made making and having dinner easy and enjoyable. I would say the only real issue we had was with the AC. We would have if running during the day while at the beach and when we would get back the temperature had not changed. No mater how low it was set the temperature never got past the ambient temperature. Which wasn’t a problem during our stay but later in the summer it might be an issue. I let the owner know so I’m sure he will address it. I recommend staying here. I know we will be again.

Memorial Day stay

Amazing location right in the boardwalk. Great size for 2 adults and 4 teens. Enjoyed coffee on the deck watching the waves.

Great place with a great location!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. The property is beautiful with an amazing view of the ocean! It was wonderful to sit out on the porch and take in the beautiful scenery and ocean view. The host was very helpful and stayed on the phone with me until I found the place ok. I hope to stay here again soon!

1606 boardwalk

The view is the only thing going for this place. Mouse poop in the kitchen. Dirt under the beds & couches. Shower does not drain. 4’x6’ patch of mold in master bedroom. Blinds in front of the house are all worn out and broken. Tv in master bedroom not connected. Dust caked on ceiling fan blades and registers. Closets had linens thrown on the floor.

October getaway

This property worked out great for our multi family getaway with little dogs foster a few nights. We rented both sides and shared the front porch which was perfect!! Awesome view and location could not be better. Good main room & open kitchen was optimal for visiting. An easy improvement could be more lights outside. Overall this worked out really well for us!

House on the Boardwalk

The location is great! House was needs a little maintenance. Home wasn't very clean upon check-in, they may just need a new cleaning service. The bathrooms have been updated, nice primary shower. We were able to have our little dog with us.

Great location not very clean

The location of the property is great. Your minutes from stores and right on the beach. Renters should be told that you have a shared deck. The cleanliness was not anywhere near up to par. There was about 30 dirty tissues under the bedroom dresser as well as the floors were not cleaned. There was many dirty pillows and clothes in the closets and dryer. The bottom of the oven was not attached it was just propped up and continued to fall on our feet and because of our toddler we had to put the heavy piece in a closet. The lighting outside should be better. The parking and the back stairs are pitch black dark at night and very difficult with small children or elderly. The steps are honestly dangerous. When we arrived there was a lot of confusion as to which unit we were even in. The owner instructed me to walk into the wrong unit that had people in it. And there were issues with parking with the neighbors that took hours away from our time. We were also asked to take in about 12 trash cans because the owner did not have anyone to handle it, clearly we did not do this. The location was great and the size of the unit was as well with improvement and a little more common sense it could be a great place

Family Fun

This location can’t be beat. The porch is a wonderful place to people watch in the day and gaze at the ocean as the day ends. Quiet for the most part, and so convenient to beach. The unit was quite serviceable, although there were some cleaning items overlooked before it was flipped. All in all, my family had a wonderful vacation.

Location was excellent.

You can see the ocean and boardwalk from the deck. Location on the boardwalk was excellent. We did have great neighbors so a shared deck space didn’t matter but I didn’t realize it was shared when renting. Functional outdoor shower space was shared by all units. Life guarded beach is down two blocks…not directly in front of the rental. Kitchen and bathrooms were newer and functional. Thanks

Fair BUT READ!

The property, while "updated", it was updated by the owner or other non-professional. Materials and products we off the shelf Home Depot, cheapest you could find. Poor design. Poor fit. Poor finishes. Numerous health and safety VIOLATIONS/issues: exposed wiring for a "future" light fixture, no receptacle cover on a live receptacle. On and on I could go...hope you get the idea. Plus owner couldn't care less on doing things right. 5 recessed lights contained 3 different bulbs (LMAO). Same for the dining chandelier. No window screens in windows, other than those fronting the beach. Screens dirty, windows dirty...its the view you want! Clean the ****ing windows! Dishwasher was STUFFED full of a weeks worth of pots and pans left from prior guest, NESTING perfectly so as to fit. I wasn't cooking, so I put them away as is...ahh, dirty (not my job to clean up after the prior guest). No towel bar in hall bath. Towel bar in M Bath fell off the wall 9+ times, finally gave up! Garbage disposal had something inappropriate in it, just left it. Oh, speaking of cleaning...I had to vacuum when we got there, it wasn't done. Daughter wanted disinfectant wipes for bathroom. Washed comforters cause they were dirty...Owner doesn't maintain. Linens are horrible. Bring all!!! sheets, pillows, blankets...all! Bring all paper products. Bring cleaners to clean. Good price, good location (no guards at our beach). Expect little in/of the apartment.

Find a better managed rental

This rental really was a shame. The location, size, and air conditioning were fantastic - that is about where the positives end. We have been renting units on the NJ/MD beaches for a decade and a half and this was undoubtedly the worst. We made sure to take photos of these issues as well as inform the owner, who, despite how aggravated we were with the rental, was very friendly and responsive. Most of these items would be unacceptable anywhere, let alone a 5000 dollar rental in a nice neighborhood. -Ants everywhere, including on the beds while sleeping, despite using included ant spray (it should be noted that this was about the only supply provided in the entire unit. We found ant traps all around the place so I assumed they were aware of this). -Unit was incredibly dirty. Most areas upon even a minor inspection appeared to have never been cleaned at all. Upon arrival, we had to scrub food out of the refrigerator and get trash out of the shower. There was underwear on one of the beds, as well as lipstick and makeup on another. -Intense mildew smell that even glade plug-ins (an emergency purchase) could not overpower. -Young kids above us banging around at all hours of the night. -Huge leak from master bedroom window splattering water as far as the bed. -Hallway toilet leaking onto the floor every time it was flushed. Owner asked us when we would be available to wait for a contractor to address - as fun as that sounded, we went to the beach instead. -Suspicious urine smell in the corner of master bedroom. Summary: Fantastic rental location in desperate need of a deep cleaning, pest control, and general TLC. We left a day early so we could get some sleep. We don't expect beach rentals to be perfect, but this one severely missed the mark. The combination of these issues makes us feel as though we should have rented elsewhere, and wouldn't rent again for half the price.
