Welcome to the Woodland Lake Retreat at Lake Anna. This water front home has 3 bedrooms with queen beds, 3 full bathrooms and 1 half bath. The house offers lots of living space, a fully stocked kitchen, large back deck, covered front porch, back patio, and private balconies off both guest bedrooms. Located in a gated community on the public side of the lake, the house sits on a 1 acre waterfront lot full of trees, nature, and wildlife. Just a short walk from the back deck down a mild slope takes you to the dock nestled in a quiet no wake zone. The dock provides ample space to park your boats during your stay. You can also enjoy swimming in the cove away from boat traffic and waves while still having the opportunity to drive your boat to waterfront restaurants and stores.

Great Weekend Getaway

Had the most wonderful time at this gorgeous lake property. Absolutely loved the views and beautiful scenery throughout the stay and could not recommend highly enough. Kim was incredibly helpful leading up to and throughout our stay. Will be very likely to stay here again in the future!

Great Experience!

Owners were very helpful, responsive and very kind! The place was amazing! Great location, extremely clean, great fishing and grocery store a short drive away which was very convenient! Next time we visit Lake Anna we will definitely stay here!

Wonderful Stay

We stayed for just the weekend at Lake Anna and this place perfect for us. The home was clean, scenic, and conveniently located. Communication with the owners was a breeze. We would absolutely return on our next visit to Lake Anna.

Great House!

We spent a girls' weekend at Lake Anna and this house was perfect! The rooms are very spacious and bright with incredible views. The updated kitchen was very nice and the everything was clean and well-maintained. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Relaxing and easy!

This property is right on the water, clean, lovely and easy to find. Kim was wonderfully communicative and everything about our stay was easy-breezy. Super bonus that everything was easy when traveling with our four-legged pal!

Beautiful view, very nice home

This home is very nice with anything you may need when traveling. Lots of room with amazing views. Need a new TV and couches in family room.

Beautiful lake house!

Owners are very accommodating! Very detailed with helpful instructions and advice. House itself is gorgeous and set up very well. We loved the gated community and the private boat launch made the trip super easy! Definitely recommend and we will be back in the future!

Serene Retreat

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. We both love to be on the water and in the woods; so this hit both marks beautifully. The cabin is top notch, the location is excellent, and the owners were highly responsive and accommodating. We look forward to booking this cabin again and feeling the tensions melt away as we soak up the serenity of this wonderful natural setting.

Loving Lakeside

We gathered together to celebrate a 77th birthday. We had a grand time swimming off the dock—lazing on floaties. The house was great—had bedrooms/baths we needed plus a family area with fabulous view of the lake. Plenty of outdoor decking made it a great place to hang out. We had a great time; owners were very nice and easy to communicate.

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this house. The home gave a cabin feel with a gorgeous view of the lake. Everything in the home was clean and comfy! The kitchen had everything you could think of to use for cooking and storing food while you are there. It was a quick little walk to the pier of the lake to enjoy a swim or just sit and take on the view. We would definitely recommend and hope to visit again one day.

Convenient

I stayed at the house for work, but I can see where it would be a great place to stay for vacation. . It was very convenient for me. The house was very clean and well stocked. Kim was a willing to accommodate me in anyway, she could. She was a delightful hostess.

Perfect Lake House For A Family

The property met our needs well. The location on the lake in a protected cove met our needs perfectly. We were able to dock our boat with ease and the family was able to swim off the dock all week. We had a swim pad that we left in the water all week that our group enjoyed. The house had plenty of room and the kitchen was very well stocked. The air conditioning was very cold which we appreciated. The view of the lake from the deck and house was beautiful. Any correspondence with the owner were promptly responded to. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

A Week of Good Times and Lasting Memories

Perfect weather and great views from deck and all rooms of the home. The house is exceptionally well appointed and cared for with all the modern appliances and conveniences. Location is convenient to grocery store, shops, and local restaurants. House sits on quiet no-wake cove off Coventry Creek, perfect for fishing (caught several large-mouth bass off the dock, boating, tubing, swimming, and kayaking. Hostess, Kim, was a delight to deal with and immediately responsive to all questions and requests. This was not our first time renting on the Lake but was certainly one of the most enjoyable. Definitely a best value property.

Woodland Lake Retreat

Woodland Lake Retreat is a Beautiful house with amazing windows overlooking the lake! Such a serene location. The kitchen is very well stocked. A suggestion would be to add a griddle to the cookware collection. We loved the abundance of dvd's and games available. We were there for our anniversary in January and we grateful to have a shovel and salt on the porch if needed when we arrived. We had an excellent dinner at Tavern on the Rail. We highly suggest making a reservation. We had one at 6pm which worked out perfect since they were packed by 7pm.

Great Lake House

This is a great Lake house with an amazing views. Every room in the house has a view of the lake. The house was very clean and well equipped. The bedrooms were all very nice. The kitchen was well equipped. The living room couches were really comfortable and the view is amazing. There is a nice grill on the deck . The dock is in a no wake zone and we really enjoyed fishing off it. The neighborhood was quiet for walking the dogs. The house is nestled among all the trees in a natural setting and a path and a set of steps lead you down to the lake. The host are responsive and nice to deal with. We had a wonderful long weekend and hated to leave.

Beautiful and Relaxing

The hosts were very helpful. The lake views from the deck are magnificent and peaceful. The home feels very private and was very comfortable. The walk to the lake was reasonably easy, coming back up was a small hill, but not a problem for any of us. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. It was nice to have three levels of bedrooms. Gave all of us a bit of privacy when needed. There were tons of DVDS and a large variety of board type games to play. We played many of them. We spent most of our time at the lake and it was warm and relaxing. It was deep so we made sure the young swimmers had life preservers. We also had many tubes and enjoyed lounging and floating on the lake. The Food Lion grocery store is a short drive and we also enjoyed a day swimming and hiking at the state park.

Lovely home for family and pups!!

A beautiful home with all the amenities you could want. All appliances were top notch, beds were incredibly comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and the DVD selection was never ending! You would never know this was a house that allowed dogs-no carpet stains and absolutely no pet odor! Dock has partial shade which was great and area was very quiet for swimming. Bit of a long walk down to the water (stairs and sloping terrain) but doable for our family. House was nicely decorated, and the master bath has a luxury tub. Upstairs bedrooms have private porches. Great quality grill and table and chairs for outdoor eating. We had a question about the air conditioning and the home owner called us immediately. Lesson learned- Read the binder left by the homeowners!! It answers ALL of your questions!! Wonderful home, and so nice that our pups could come too. We highly recommend Woodland Lake Retreat!

Dog-Friendly House w/ Wonderful Views

Visited this lovely vacation home located in a convenient spot on Lake Anna with a group of 7 friends and our 2 dogs. The house was very fitting for our needs. We had enough space to spread out, while still maintaining a cozy feel. Within a 30 minute are a few local wineries, Lake Anna State Park and (if you visit in October) a few haunted houses. The house itself was very well maintained, open-concept, with a great kitchen. I think they had every piece of kitchen equipment available that we could have thought of using. The grocery store is only a few minute drive down the road, so we made most of our meals at home. Bedrooms were nice, the 2.5 bathrooms were great to have with that many people. One of my favorite parts was spending mornings sipping coffee on the HUGE deck with expansive views of the lake. Only con related to the house was that the inconvenience of having to bring all of our own sheets and towels, because who want's to do laundry while on 'vacation'?! Though admittedly, this is clearly stated on the description. The owner was even able to accommodate our very last minute request to check out late. OVERALL: Would recommend and hope to come back soon!
