The beds were comfy, the view was also really nice! The fishing wasn’t great, but maybe we were late in the season? I also think the dock needed some cleaning. I had to remove a ton of spider webs off of the chairs, I feel like they should be spraying the dock between guests. Other than that I would say we had a nice stay!

We love the easy access to the dock with shade cover. The hot tub is always clean and heated. It's a quiet street and we've stayed different seasons and it's easy to get to the slopes and village. The queen studio is great for privacy.

View Almost Made Up for the Bad

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property is in a good location. Unfortunately, the neighboring cabin was having construction going on with grinders running for about 9 hours on the first day we were there, then hammering for most of the next day. Not such a pleasant “feature” to a “relaxing” vacation. There were some safety issues we discovered (handrail on dock broken, slick staircase, chain link fence falling down, outside hand rails splintering) and hope they repair. Did find dirty dishes/silverware, and hair in the drain in the shower. Would like to have seen better cleaning supplies (just a bottle of ammonia is not a good one on my list). Their dishwasher really needs to be replaced. Washing machine works, but leaves you wondering if the clothes got clean. The view almost made up for all the negatives. The fishing from the dock was ok... never knew they had carp in Big Bear Lake!

We really enjoyed our stay there except for the master TV didn’t work and we could not move the chairs on the boat Doc into the sun because they’re chain down and I did catch my hand on a rusty screw that was sticking out the railing other than that, we really enjoyed the place

We were a party of 4 with a small dog. The location was perfect for needs as the dock was fenced in so we could let our dog run loose and not worry about him running away chasing the ducks. The front entrance and each balcony were fenced in so our dog could roam loose without worry. The kitchen was very well stocked with ample cooking supplies that went beyond many of the places we've stayed at before, Big Bear and Mammoth Lakes. The third bedroom is interesting due to it being detached from the main house. It is an ADU located under the garage and half a flight of stairs down from the main house entrance. We did not have a use for it but would have been perfect for teenagers or had another small family joined us. Sofas were comfy, the gas fireplace was nice, wifi was strong and absolutely necessary and the TV had lots of choices for viewing. Oh, the hot tub was fantastic and got lots of use, we will be definitely staying again! We suffered some power outages but that is to be expected when the winds kick up and SCE shuts it down to prevent forest fires.

Thank you so much for your wonderful 10/10 review! We're thrilled to hear you, your group, and your pup had such a great stay. It's great to know the fenced yard, balconies, and private dock gave your dog plenty of room to explore safely, and that the well-stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings, strong Wi-Fi, and hot tub helped make your vacation even more enjoyable. We also appreciate you mentioning the detached third bedroom, as it's a unique feature that's perfect for guests looking for a little extra privacy. Thank you as well for your understanding regarding the temporary power outages. As you mentioned, these Public Safety Power Shutoffs are occasionally implemented by Southern California Edison during high winds to help reduce wildfire risk and protect our mountain community. We truly appreciate your understanding and your thoughtful review. We can't wait to welcome you back to Big Bear Lakefront Cabins for another relaxing stay by the lake!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house in a terrific location on the lake. We appreciated all the fans provided, it kept the house very pleasant. The fenced yard was perfect for the dog The only thing is the railings are in poor shape, splinters galore so be careful not to use them ( which defeats the purpose of having them). A really terrific house, we will be back!

We were really pleased with the customer service. We originally rented a different place that had scary stairs for our 2 dogs and toddler.
