The Harley House - close to Schlitterbahn, Comal & Guadalupe Rivers

The Harley House is centrally located for easy access to all New Braunfels has to offer. Stay in an authentic and charming tin roofed cottage! This house is over 130 years old. This home is not wheelchair accessible, suitable for children under the age of 2. No Pets are allowed.

The space

The Harley House is within walking distance to the Comal County Fairgrounds, 2 blocks from the Guadalupe River, and 3 blocks from the Comal River and Schlitterbahn Water Park. Schlitterbahn's buses pick up less than a block away from the house, so the property is ideally located for those visiting . The downstairs den is located next to a private bathroom with a walk in shower. There is a mini refrigerator. A small microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. There is also an electric skillet and outside grill. There is a loft bedroom for adults only with a queen sized bed that is accessed by a metal spiral staircase. A leather queen sized sofa bed in the living room will sleep 2 more adults or children for a total of 4 guests. NO PETS are allowed..this is not for the entire house.

Guest access

Guest have access to the lower level living room, a private bathroom and two outside patios. We do have a grill. There is a microwave, toaster oven and coffee pot and a fridge Loft is not suitable for children under the age of 2 or those with mobility issues. You should be physically able to climb the spiral stairs and bring your own luggage to the loft bedroom. There is no access to the kitchen for cooking. We do not accept pets. Please be aware that rental is not for the entire house- it is for the attached guest suite loft bedroom, bathroom and living area only. There is no kitchen access.

Other things to note if you plan on going to Wurstfess you should start making your reservations soon. Because people come from all over the world to go to this really fun occasion.

The Wurstfest Festival held in Landa Park is only mile away. Held in early November. Comal County fair held last week of Sept. Just across the street you'll want to attend the Rodeo and fair. Summer weekends are always packed with tubers from Memorial weekend all the way thru August. We also have some outstanding restaurants, including Cajun, Mexican, great Texas Barbecue. Gruene Hall is the oldest dance hall in Texas and is less than a mile away. Weā€™re located less than an hour from Austin or San Antonio so itā€™s easy to go to the Zoo or visit the Natural Bridge Caverns in San Marcos.Weā€™re only a few blocks from the Comal River on one side and the Guadalupe River on the other side. Come visit and have a great time!

Nice little getaway location for a couple. If you're super tall, watch your head but nothing bad to say about our stay. Kitty was fantastic and kind! Would definitely stay again

2night stay for honeymoon

My husband and I stayed here for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon. We loved it! Miss Kitty was so sweet and helpful. We were only a few blocks from Schlitterbahn, which was the main reason I picked this property. It was in a great neighborhood; we felt very safe walking to and from the water park. We definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking in the area, and if we are visiting down south again, will for sure try to book here again!

A new place to call home!

It was so cozy and comfy it felt better than home. The bed was so comfortable we slept both night s better than we have in such a long time. The hostess was so kind with gifts, snacks and even a small cake! The location is walking distance to the rivers and downtown shopping and eating which was so nice not o have to drive for a couple days. For the price is was great deal, well worth every penny. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to everyone.

Harley Haus

Ms. Kitty is a special lady. She was available when we arrived. She gave us a tour and anytime we saw her, see asked if there was anything needed. We enjoyed visiting with her. She gave us good ideas for places to eat and help with our tubing adventure. If we return to the area, we plan to stay wit Ms. Kitty and Harley Haus. She is a treasure.

Funky and fun little space in NB

First, Kitty is so sweet and such a gem. She left little gifts for us which was such a sweet touch. The place is quirky but worked for our needs for a quick weekend trip. Lots of trinkets, signs and dolls around the place. The bedroom is up a small spiral staircase so keep in mind if you or yours have special mobility needs. It wasn't the cleanest place but for a short stay it worked and was close to the river and everywhere we wanted to be.

Great stay at Harley Haus!

We were in town for a quick trip to Schlitterbahn with our kids, and this was the perfect place to stay for a couple nights. Great location to Schlitterbahn! Miss Kitty was so sweet, and even had welcome gifts for our kiddos when we arrived! Thank you for a great stay!

Kitty's Place

The location of the Harley House was good and very central. Ms. Kitty, the hostess, was personable and helpful. A cute and charming set-up, the back of the owner's house had enough room for my husband and me. The spiral stairs up to the sleeping loft was a little difficult to navigate, so we left suitcases downstairs. With no kitchen sink, we used the bathroom sink to clean up our dishes. We managed. The stay was a good one.

Kitty was a warm and welcoming host. Both Kitty and I had lots of trouble with your communication system! After a lot of frustrating time I finally got help from the help site only to be given someone elseā€™s confirmation number! Kitty was very upset as well as she couldnā€™t get our onfo and number. Whatā€™s up with this? We booked through you 2 years ago and was so very pleased with provided info a day ahead for final plans. This time none! Hope yā€™all get your system up to par!

Quirky and sweet

This is a sweet, interesting little guest suite on the back of the owners home with a private entrance and patio space. It is a very unique space; cozy and charming, kind of like a trip to grandma's. Kitty was very welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed our trip. It felt private to us most of the time, but there are shared spaces.

Cute place close to Schlitterbahn

We really enjoyed our stay at Kitty's place. She was so sweet and even gave us little gift bags. Beds were comfy, had everything we needed, check in/out process was easy, and it was super close to Schlitterbahn. Only complaint was slow router/internet. Thanks, Kitty!

Wonderful stay at the Harleyhaus

Kitty is always wonderful - and the Harleyhaus had everything we needed to enjoy our time in New Braunfels. Our group of friends have known each other for over 30 years. Harleyhaus is the perfect place for our yearly get togethers. It will be for you as well!

Great place to stay, owner was very nice and had plenty of plants which went well with the wife. She came home with plenty of cuttings giving by the owner. House is located perfect for everything, look forward to going back.

A home away from home!!!

Ms Kitty is one of the sweetest hosts!!! Greeted at the gate with a huge welcoming smile! We had pastries, gift bags and snacks waiting for us when we walked in!! Shared housing but separate enough that it feels like your own cottage. Yes you have your own privacy. We will definitely be back next time we travel New Braunfels!!!!

We wanted a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay .

Kitty's house is between Gruene and downtown New Braunsfels . It's really close to the water park and the Comal river . Great location .We went to New Braunsfels farmer's market then the Gruene Market days . Closed that out with live music at Krause's with a Reuben sandwich and a Spaten
