Best Cabin in Bear

My childhood friends and I have come here multiple times. It’s our favorite spot to relax and catch up. Best cabin in bear by far!

Beautiful location

Thankfully I brought everything I needed to prepare our meals. Bring all your own spices, paper goods, cooking oils etc.

Destination Big Bear supplies bath towels, bed linens, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning sponge, and minimal cleaning supplies. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner or shower soap. Hair dryers not guaranteed in all cabins. Each home has a different inventory of kitchen appliances and supplies.Come back again, Destination Big Bear

Needs a thorough cleaning

This property should not charge a cleaning fee as the it is not very clean. Cobwebs everywhere, dishes in cabinet weren’t all clean, bugs in lights and beyond. We planned to work from the cabin and internet didn’t work and had to be fixed the next day. The only thing clean were the linens, so that was good.

Day 1) due to rain basement was leaking and our items got wet completely. Even though a support came in they were unable to fix anything as the issue was bigger than imagined.Day 2) Heater was broken completely and observed it during the night as the whole house was cold/chill. Though the technician was prompt to attend, he was not able fix anything as the issue seems to be bigger than a fix. Elderly person had to adjust them selves staying close a small heater. Not an experience expected.Unable to understand how your team is maintaining the property. The above issues seems to be existing ones and did not appear due to sub zero temperatures. Cobwebs were there as mentioned by your earlier people who stayed. Still unable to understand why we were charged so much for this experience?

They have it listed as a affordable budget, I say overpriced

I didn’t want to make a review but people need to know about also who ever is in charge of the property, cabin was dusty, spiders and webs in almost each corner I understand it’s in the woods but there’s low maintenance on this property, take you’re own dishes there’s are nasty, the jacuzzi was green we didn’t even try it, arcade turns on but doesn’t work properly, poool table sticks are super worn but if you’re only using the property to sleep it’s perfect but pricey I wouldn’t rent this property again for that price there’s better places to visit that they are cheaper and better overall it was ok… this is a real review not like the other ones they have 5 stars rating thanks

Overly Priced for a rundown place!

Save time, money and headaches! Don’t stay here! First, there wasn’t a visible sign or house number on the property. We had to make several attempts and there were no outside lights. The cabin needs a lot of repairs. View is awesome but it’s surrounded by cobwebs obstructing the lake view. Pool table doesn’t work, tv wasn’t working, found dead mice inside, no towels, hot tub is gross and needs service, bedroom blinds don’t work and the very early morning sun wakes you up, screens are broken and inside lights need to be replaced! The service employees refused to give us service because they said they didn’t have enough employees to assist! The lack of assistance is horrible! I deserve a refund for this awful experience! We were totally on our own! Never again will I return again!! I will post a negative review on all social media sites if I don’t get a refund! I will let my friend and family know what a horrible experience/vacation this was! So dissatisfied.

Hopefully, you were able to see one or two sunsets on your trip. Amenities are not guaranteed at the time of arrival. Our cabins and homes are privately owned and certain maintenance and repair are based on homeowner approval. Destination Big Bear strives to work with homeowners to make sure cabins and amenities are in good repair, including hot tubs, game tables, TVs, light fixtures, etc. We apologize that the home was not cleaned properly before. This is not what we like to hear from our tenants, and not up to our standards. We will make note of the home not being properly cleaned and address it right away with our cleaning staff. We appreciate you addressing this. We apologize that the Hot tub was not properly cleaned when you arrived. This is an amenity that we ask our vendors to address before the check-in and apologize again that it was not done in time. We appreciate you reporting this to us during your stay so that we could get a vendor out to address the issue. We do notify this upon check-in when accepting the terms and agreements, arrival instructions, and in the home. Hope you understand our policy. We are trying to make our system better. Hope you give us a chance to prove us better service for next time. House is spacious and perfect location with beautiful view...... Make sure to pack extra towels, cooking houseware (limited), cleaning supplies and other toiletries for your stay.

Family loved it!!

Location. Location. Location. The location of the property and views from the property to the lake is what sold us. Yes the property is a little outdated but if you like the feel of being in a cabin, then this is the place for you. The layout of the house is perfect and can accommodate a large group and not to mention the backyard that leads straight into the mountains (good morning hike) Love this place and so did everyone in my party:)
