Great place to stay!

We loved our stay here. Everything we needed was there, the beds were comfortable, and it was a central location for us. Despite the fact that the host lives in the other half of the building, we hardly saw them and never heard them. We were greeted when we first arrived. After that, we saw them once. The only small issue we had was road noise. We live in a very quiet area so we aren't used to that. This might be more specific to us. If you live in town, you may not even notice. I would definitely stay here again!

I loved my stay in Gold beach, it's such a laid back, groovy little town! The beaches and forests are spectacular! The air is fresher and the oxygen richer. Shari and Doug's apartment makes you feel like you are home. She has everything in the kitchen! It is immaculately clean, comfortable and pretty! The view of Elephant Rock is mesmerizing from the deck and exhilarating when you open the gate to the river plains below. The garden is beautiful with exotic flowers everywhere. The location is perfect next to the best pizza restaurant on the southern coast and across the street from a great cafe that serves buckwheat waffles! You won't regret staying here. I hope to come back soon!

Why Does This Place Have 5 Star Rating?

Because it is absolutely PERFECT!! We stayed for three nights and wished we had the time to stay longer. It was an absolutely beautiful cabin on a magnificent site. The hosts have made so many tasteful and thoughtful decisions when decorating and supplying their home. Everything had been thought of! And Sher and Doug were so friendly. It really felt like entering a home belonging to old friends rather than a rental.A place where memories are made. You will not be disappointed.

Great place to stay with wonderful hosts

We really enjoyed our stay. Such a nice place, beautiful outdoor spaces. The inside space was cozy and had all the conveniences that we needed. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. We were there for fishing trips on the Rouge and this place was less than 5 minutes away from the docks. Highly recommend the Gold Beach Apartment.

Fully equipped and cozy home with a beautiful view of the mountains. Home owners live next door and was so kind and welcoming and made our stay as comfortable as possible.

Beautiful property and views

The home and grounds are beautifully maintained. Stunning views and cozy, secret spots around the yard for privacy. The hosts are friendly and give you space to roam freely. Our stay was relaxing and close to town. Would definitely recommend this place!

Clean and comfortable, but road noise is loud

Nice property. Kitchen had all the amenities you could ever need, which was great. As we have a child, we liked that the property was gated as it is right on a main road where vehicles drive very fast. Very kind hosts and nice garden area. The only downside is that the bedrooms back up to that main road and we had a hard time sleeping as cars and trucks drove by at high speeds all night long. Even with earplugs, we didn’t sleep well. Overall a good property, but if you are noise sensitive like us, maybe not the right fit.

Perfect for Family

This was exactly what we were looking for! It is a nice little gated property with a big yard. Plenty of lawn for our little one to run around. The house was very clean and nice. Really nice kitchen and fridge we were able to cook meals comfortably. There was satellite tv for college football, a grill, very nice bathroom and shower. It was overall a great time. Sher was great and really made sure we felt comfortable asking for anything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Very dirt and no privacy

Not very clean and home owner lives with shared wall. Not very private at all homeowner can see u do everything. When u leave when u come back.

Wonderful!

My friend and I enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and decorated so cute and the rooms and kitchen had all the things we needed for cooking food ourselves. The property had lots of neat outside spaces to look at and the location was close enough to the beach and town while maintaining that sense of out of town. The host was very kind and friendly and had great notes about everything. This was my first time doing something like this so it made it really easy to stay and leave. We also enjoyed the goodies left for us, that was a pleasant surprise! I have a feeling that picking a home is mostly picking a good host and I can assure others that if you stay here you will be in good hands. Only downsides are it is close to the road so you can hear traffic, and the beds while comfortable are pretty soft, but it's not a deal breaker for me and didn't hinder me from sleeping or enjoying myself. Definitely planning a return trip to this place specifically ❤

Cozy Cabin Feel!

What a wonderful place and wonderful hosts! Very clean. Warm and welcoming. Well-stocked. Beautiful area. Perfect little cozy cabin getaway by the ocean. The beds were very soft, which I enjoyed but my father had a hard time sleeping on it. The internet speeds were great in the living room and laundry area, which is closest to the wall connecting to the hosts home where the modem is at. We were able to stream movies on our laptop and give a presentation on zoom. Really great speeds! The hosts were so kind and hospitable. They went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. They were very communicative and responded to any question I had right away. And they were very generous, evening bringing over delicious cranberry bread fresh out of the oven! All in all great place!

Felt very comfortable, homey and secured. Was a little challenging to sleep at night, especially with the windows open due to bedroom being near the road. Would recommend ear plugs or sleeing on sofa sleeper in living room. The property had an unexpectant leak under the kitchen floor a few days before we arrived. Water was still seeping through the cracks when we would walk across the kitchen floor. Hopefully they can get it fully repaired soon.

Great comfortable place to vacation at!

The owners are awesome and extremely thoughtful with little gifts upon checking in. Very well set up kitchen if you like to cook - everything is there. Beds are very comfortable and very clean house even bbq is clean to cook on. Security gate to property so very secure location. So of course we will be back.

Gold Beach Lovers

The property is beautiful!!!! There are multiple fruit baring trees to walk under or sit completely in the shade. Our property managers were very upbeat and thoughtful! We will absolutely stay here again.!!!!
