This beautiful 3bedroom 2.5 bath beach home is located on Little Lagoon and across the street from the Gulf of Mexico in the West Beach area of Gulf Shores, AL. There are stunning views from all windows and decks. Lagoon access right out the back door with community boat ramp and two docks. Gulf of Mexico beach access within walking distance. Downtown Gulf Shores is less than 4 miles away accessible by car, bike, or foot providing public beaches, ample restaurants, pubs, shopping and much more. This is a single family home, two stories and on pilings.

We absolutely loved our stay! It was perfect and Paul was so kind and a wonderful and an attentive host. He made us feel like we were family.Next time we come back to Gulf Shores, I will be hopeful to stay here. It was great for our family of 6!

Beach therapy

The property was amazing! We will definitely try to stay there in the future. It is has fantastic view of the lagoon and is in easy walking distance of the beach. We all enjoyed some badly needed beach therapy.

Home away from home

My family felt at home and very welcome during our vacation stay. My kids are already making plans for another trip. Beds very comfy and clean. Homeowners very friendly and easy to work with. We highly recommend this beach home.

Nice older home on the lagoon which was great

Fan was broken in upstairs bedroom, but owner brought one over right away, house is older but clean and met our needs and only short walk to beach, I suggest if you take chairs etc to beach to bring a wagon to carry everything, had a great week!

Beautiful!

The house was beautiful! The view was beautiful! The location was the best! The boys got to fish right out the back door and the beach was just a short walk away. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The week just seemed to go by to fast!

Mamaā€™s House

Although this house is not beach front it is just a short walk across from the beach. The house had plenty of room for our family vacation without everyone feeling crammed. It had everything we needed in the house also beach chairs/umbrella and boogie boards for the kids which was nice. The lagoon out back gives a nice view to watch the sunrise/sunset. We would definitely stay at Mamas house again!

A Perfect Stay at Mamaā€™s House by the LagoonOur stay at Mamaā€™s House was nothing short of delightful. Nestled by the lagoon, the home offered breathtaking sunset views right from the deck, a serene backdrop for our evenings.The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, reflecting the care put into every detail. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including a wagon stocked with beach chairs and boogie boards, making our beach outings effortless. The china hutch was a treasure trove for game night, stocked with everything we needed for fun-filled evenings.The kitchen was well equipped, and the home provided all the necessities we could ask for. One small tip for future guests: consider bringing a blow dryer, as one wasn't available during our stay.The warm, inviting atmosphere truly made it feel like a home away from home. Mamaā€™s House is a gem, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway. Weā€™re already looking forward to our next visit!

Great location but

The house itself is great but the smoke smell is absolutely awful. It was overpowering when you walk in. The location and the house were great though. The view of the lagoon is wonderful. If they could get rid of the smoke smell we would absolutely stay here again and again!

House

Stay was good. Needs a few repairs done to make sure the shutters stay attached and also look into adding another a/c unit for the upstairs. It is 7 to 8 degrees warmer up there than on the lower level

Good value, great location

To start - we booked this house based on it being a good value. For the week, & the timing (during Hang out fest) you could not beat the price. Location is also fantastic. At the quiet end of a cul-de-sac across the street from the beach. No complaints on either of these merits. As others have said - this is an older home so you should set expectations accordingly. It is quite obvious that the former full time owner was a smoker so if that is a bid deal for you - be aware. House is stocked with all the necessary things to cook, etc. & has a nice outdoor grill on a deck overlooking the bay. Only real issue is that home has one AC unit so it got unbearably hot in the upstairs bedrooms.

Little Lagoon stay

The house was in a perfect location and cute but needs some improvements. The ice maker didnā€™t work which is quite inconvenient for a beach stay. The beds were a little comfortable but we loved the open floor plan and the master suite in the main floor. They had extra beach chairs and a wagon which is great to have. The house has a nice backyard for games by the water but there is no direct access to the water. The community does have a pier and its boat ramp which is great to have right next to the house. The upstairs area was hard to keep cool so maybe a window AC unit would help but the kids loved being upstairs. There was only tv in the master and not in the other bedrooms which was also not ideal but we made it work. The kitchen was stocked with most things we needed and the laundry room was huge and a great place to store all of our beach stuff. The living room furniture was comfortable and plenty of space. Overall, a great vacation for us and we really enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again.

Family friendly

House was exactly as described. We had a family of 5 here and had plenty of room and plenty of parking space. The views on the Lagoon were beautiful. The only thing to consider is the steps. My elderly parents went and had some difficulty with all the steps. A lift would be beneficial. Other than that, the house us perfect.

Spectacular Vacation

"Momma's House" is gorgeous, spacious, well-maintained, and has a great deck with frontage right on Little Lagoon. That deck is the perfect place for morning coffee and after-dinner relaxing. We always stay in that immediate area, but this was the first time with a large group. I was worried about space, that we might be climbing all over each other. Momma's house has more than enough room for many more people.

Great location, plenty of room, great owner

The owner was terrific to work with and we had a wonderful stay at the property. We stayed a full week and the lagoon the property sits on was a beautiful backdrop to our stay. It was a brief walk to the beaches and a short drive to the heart of the strip, food, groceries, etc. The house was clean and spacious. All the amenities worked and easily accessible. The owner was responsive to texts and overall we loved our stay. Gulf Shores is a great vacation location and when we return weā€™ll be looking to stay here again.
