This property was so amazing for our family! Pictures really can't capture the interior and espeically the amazing views. Both of my kids want to come back every summer. The neighborhood is so beautiful and quiet. Thank you for sharing such a special location!

The place is as lovely as the listing, all was as described, and the setting even more beautiful in person. We had the good fortune to have a herd of seals in the bay out front which was a special treat. The kitchen is much better equipped than a usual rental. I absolutely plan to come back

Loved our stay!

The house was perfect for us… We loved the clean, private, cozy house! The house had everything we needed. The dock was great too! We were able to catch fish and go for relaxing boat rides. We just might be back!

The best

This was our second time staying at this property, and it hopefully won’t be our last. Our family had the best time. The location is ideal (quiet, but still close to the harbor) and the home is spacious and quite comfortable. Owners are the sweetest people too. Love this place.

Perfect for Our Stay

Great place for our needs. The house was well maintained and worked very well for 3 adult couples. Very close to Roche which was part of what we were looking for. We were able to use the dock for our boat at the appropriate tides. Had a fabulous stay, including the deer in the yard!

Comfortable Waterfront Home

Wonderful location close to Roche Harbor. We loved the secluded location and lovely deck. Private dock for launching paddle boards and kayaks was why we chose this home. Odd for owner to show up unannounced and use the boat dock in the middle of our stay.

The property and home are beautiful and cozy. There were a lot of otters in the bay. The management company was very kind and helpful when we had to make some adjustments to our plans. The kids loved the game room. It's too bad we couldn't stay longer this time! The other upstairs room had perfect skylights above the bed which are perfect for stargazing. My only complaint is the unfortunate state of the large windows in the master, which had some moisture between the panes, spoiling the view from just that room.

This property seemed to be the right place for our family gathering while doing our planning, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The open design with multiple private bedrooms accommodated our family of 8 (grandparents, adult children, grandchild) perfectly. The house was very clean and well-stocked with all the amenities, appliances, dishes and pans we needed. The fully stocked game room was a real bonus that kept our competitive spirit happily alive.The dock was a magical place, as it was visited daily by a harbor seal; attached, around, and beneath it we found a sea star, an anemone, countless crabs, and more. A very special surprise was the bioluminescence we experienced running our fingers through the water off the dock after dark this time of year (August).From this location we readily visited several parks, enjoyed quiet walks and runs through the upscale neighborhood, and had easy access to Friday Harbor activities. We would go to this aptly-named paradise again without hesitation, and highly recommend the location for a family gathering place.

This was place just as advertised and was great for our group. I will say the biggest downfall was that in the master bedroom there aren’t blinds for the windows above the bed which made it really hard for us to sleep because we’re sensitive to light in the morning. But aside from that I would absolutely recommend the place!

Fun Weekend in the San Juans

This house was a lot bigger than I expected. The layout was perfect for our 4 couples. We were able to all have our own bathroom which is such a bonus when traveling. Kitchen was equipped for us to cook our meals. Thank you!

Amazing San Juan Islands Vacation Rental!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was fantastic! It is surrounded by woods with a beautiful water view. We saw many deer, harbor seals, cranes, bald eagle, and more. The beds were comfortable and the decor was wonderful. We had everything we needed as far as amenities and would love to go back someday.

Great Place to Relax and Enjoy the Island

We loved the personality of the home: the artwork, the wood floors and ceilings, the quality of everything that made it feel like we were staying with friends who trusted us with their home. It felt very private, but the views were lovely. There was plenty of room for us to spread out--even those who had to take a few work calls. We loved the outdoor deck and saw bioluminescence from the dock. All in all, a five-star experience!

September Sibling Reunion

What fun we had in such a lovely environment! Our four-night stay consisted of a sibling/spouse get-together, including seven members of my family, mostly from the mid-west. The house was beautiful and perfect to allow plenty of time for varied interactions and also space for privacy. The grounds were attractive and the dock was fun. We were able to watch sunsets from the community beach and walk the pleasant neighborhood.

The property management team was very responsive. Such an enjoyable stay, we will come back again!

Easy location for access to Roche Harbor, incredible views of sunset from Afterglow Drive (the isthmus) just down the street. Enjoyed driving and exploring the entire island from this location. The birding opportunities are plentiful.

Truly a Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kingfisher Waterfront Paradise is exactly as described, clean, spacious and well-maintained in a beautiful quiet location. Customer service was excellent. We enjoyed canoeing and kayaking off the dock (with our own boats), biking and walking into Roche Harbor and down to the isthmus for sunsets. Hikes at English and American Camps, Mt. Grant, and Mt. Finlayson were highlights. We recommend this property highly.

fabulous house

this is a great vacation home, very roomy well stocked nicely decorated, it exceeded our expectations, we all had a great time and hope to be back sometime. P.S. the fresh flowers were a nice touch, we loved the Sweet Peas a lot!!! P.S.S. one of us twisted her ankle on the first day going down the deck to the water, those rocks have to be replaced with something safer. A sign is not good enough. Thanks, Shira

Island journey

Overall we were delighted with the property and the ease of dealing with any minor issue. The management company was very responsive and prompt in resounding. It was a bonus to have a game room with ping pong, pool and fuse ball. Our suggestion is that there be fold up beach chairs or light weight chairs that could be taken to the dock to socialize and enjoy the view. Also, the kitchen could use more plastic, leftover containers and measuring utensils. Otherwise, it's a perfect place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was in good condition, and as described. We used the dock for our paddleboards - but not at low tide. The only thing missing were drinking glasses in the kitchen - the largest non-wine glasses are just 4 oz juice glasses. Please get some 12 or 16 oz glasses! If that's the only thing we could think of to write - then it's was really all good.

Great house for our family

The house worked great for our family, there were 3 couples & 2 young children in our group & there was plenty of space for us. One negative was the lack of lighting out on the deck. We had a fire in the fire pit one night & had a hard time getting down the path because it was so dark. We could not find any kind of porch light out there. Rather dangerous. Other than that, it's a nice place for families. we would love to go back!

We are glad you enjoyed your time so much at this home! We’re sorry to hear you had trouble navigating in the dark to the firepit. We do supply flashlights at each rental home and we will make sure they are in a more prominent location for future guests.
