In the Heart of Old Destin. Sunchase town-homes are the original highly-desired beaches of Destin, and you can't get a better seat. You will be within walking distance to some of Destin's favorite Restaurants. 1 block from the Whales Tale There's no pool here, but the ocean is all yours. Just step off your deck onto your own beach.

A 5 min drive of outlet malls, many restaurants, and other retail shopping. Want to go to the Destin Harbor, then give yourself ten minutes driving time, and you're there.

Purchased in 2012 this newly remodeled unit is a 'No smoking, No pets' Studio unit which will sleep four people The entrance to this unit is ground level with no stairs. The Studio Unit comes fully equipped has a King Size Bed, Kitchen and bath. There is also Queen Sleeper Sofa in the living room. There are 2 Flatscreen TV's, and a DVD Player. The Full Kitchen is equipped with Appliances, Dishes, Silverware, and Cookware. There are Linens, Towels, and a private Washer / Dryer for your convenience.

The private balcony is equipped with chairs for a relaxing evenings in the breeze. A gated staircase allows all renters direct access to the beach and first floor balcony with an outdoor shower and beach chairs to take to the beach, The scenery is complete with both a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach.

There are two parking spot for this rental that hold standard 2 standard cars back to back. it is directly in front of the unit.

Lastly, no more looking for the perfect beach spot since the unit is deeded all the beach to to the water!

Great Location for Music Festival

Easy 1 Mike walk to venue. Beautiful setting right on the beach and across from a Circle K which made it easy to find every time.

Family Vacation

Absolutely LOVED staying at Sticks in the Sand 7B! It was very clean and most of all a wonderful location. There was plenty of room on the beach for my kids to play and for us to relax without being on top of other people. If we had to go back to room while on the beach it was just a few steps away. Your feet go from the stairs to your room right to the sand on the beach and that was wonderful for us with the kids. We will definitely be staying there again in the future. 💛

Right on the beach!

This reservation was a big hit with my wife and kids. You couldn't get any closer to the Gulf unless you were in the water. Stepping off the wooden deck steps directly onto the white sands and eating on the 1st floor balcony deck right above the grassy dunes with the views and sounds of the waves was awesome. The kitchen, A/C and sofa bed was perfect for the four of us. Private beach meant no crowds too. A beach bar is a short walk along the white sands.

OUTSTANDING

Our stay at Sticks in the Sand ll was the most perfect vacation we could ever ask for, from the spacious and accommodations...to the wonderful view of the sunrise, and sunset....to watching the dolphins from the balcony. It was wonderful not having to worry about where we would "sit" on the beach, loved having our own private spot....we have nothing bad or negative to say about our stay, we plan on going back next year...like I said in the beginning, it was the best vacation ever...

Clean, renovated, right on the pristine white sand of Destin. Beach not very crowded because it is private property. Perfect size for a couple for a weekend getaway. I noticed another mattress under the bed so probably even good for a small family. Neighbors upstairs were great and cooperative. Not a lot of noise even though they were a large family. Now I have a weekend getaway to go back to.

Music festival

I picked SITS for its location. I attended the Tedeschi Trucks Sun Sand and Soul shows at the Topeka site. The venue is a less than 1/2 mile walk. Perfect combo of show proximity and beach access. I was solo, meeting friends so the studio set up was fine. But it would be a little tight for more than 2 people and/or more than a few days.

Location Perfect

The location on the beach was fantastic…off the deck and directly into the sand. Everything was exactly as described and perfect. I would recommend renting the entire unit if possible. The only negative we experienced was having to share the private beach (17ft width) with the renter above us. The renter would set up his beach chairs etc at 7am and then not use them until 1-2 pm..just inconsiderate of others…but this was no fault of the owner. Would I stay again? Absolutely 😎

A little slice of Heaven

Being directly on the beach is the only way to go. No having to pack up your car or walk blocks to get to the beach. Just a few steps from your back door and you are on the most soft powdery white sand imaginable. The beach was not crowded since its a private beach! This unit is perfect for 2 people. Bed is comfortable, a/c works great. The toy closet downstairs has most anything you could want to play with at the beach. Full size kitchen and washer dryer were awesome. Love the town of Miramar as all the houses and landscaping are beautiful. Quieter than the hustle bustle of Destin yet only 5-10 minutes away from everything in Destin. Perfect choice!

Great location. Needs a few updates

The location was amazing. The space was overall clean and the bed was comfortable. The couch was worn with some holes. The fridge was also pretty outdated and worn out but also froze everything in there no matter where we had it set. Shower handle was a bit wobbly which made it hard to set the temp and make slight adjustments. The front door lock was inconsistent and didn’t always lock which didn’t feel too safe. There was also no deadbolt or chain. Dryer didn’t work very well as I had to run it 5-6 times for the clothes to dry. If you stay here a surge protector might be a good idea as there aren’t many outlets near the bed. We had a nice stay and being right on the beach def made it worth it.

Great spot for romantic getaway -

This was a perfect spot for a couple who needed a break from winter up north. We were lucky that most days were in the low 70s, but it felt warmer than that with the sun shining. The studio apartment was all that we needed: a comfortable queen-size bed from where you could see out to surf and sky; an efficient kitchen with the necessary supplies for cooking. It would have been nice if there were a few hangers in the closet. The owner was quickly responsive via email when we couldn't figure out how to switch the TV to DVD mode. The best part was our private porch overlooking the beach. We were mostly content to enjoy the beach using the chairs provided, and going for walks and runs for miles along the beach edge. We did venture out to Pompano Joe's which had excellent food, and I would highly recommend. It was fun to go to the Whale's Tail Beach Bar Grill, but the food was mediocre. It was also fun to barbecue grouper from the Gulf right on our porch. When we did go for a drive, we were quite fortunate to find Deer Lake State Park, Santa Rosa Beach which features a wonderful walk through tropical vegetation and then a raised boardwalk through unspoiled sand dunes to eventually arrive at the beach.

Beautiful Ocean View

The property was clean, but much older than the pictures revealed. The main issue we had was that the outside door that gave access to two units used the same code to unlock it as did the door to our unit. We were a bit concerned about how secure our unit was because we wondered if the same code also opened the door to the second unit. However, the view and proximity to the beach couldn't have been better!

February stay.

We stayed for a couple days while it snowed back home. Condo was right on the beach. It was cold but still walked down the beach to eat lunch at local restaurant. We found a great coffee shot across street called Bad Ass coffee. Condo is a little tired but if you’re more concerned with being on beach and eating out this place is great. Would stay again.

We are not professional renters. We started renting because James's originally purchased a home on the beach and for years he rented out the first floor since he only needed half the space.. We call it Sticks in the Sand because it is on pylons on the beach. Now married with 3 children we have continued to add our rental offerings . Due to the success of the original Sticks in the Sand, We now have 4 townhomes to rent! We have studio 1,2,3 bedroom units and continue to hope to provide our homes for families to enjoy..

The units are close to everything, walking distance to a bar/restaurant and directly on the beach with private ownership all the way to the water. The townhome can be rented 3 ways, a 2 bedroom (Listing #838156) , Studio unit (Listing #838155) or if you need more space you can rent it as a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath unit by renting them both. So it was perfect to maintain all my renters in one location

Centrally located between Destin, Baytown and Sandestin. I provide everything you need from child toys, chairs and your own piece of private beach to enjoy. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off in and two flat panels to relax indoors. Perfect for a couples getaway, a small family or group of friends. Sleep where you can hear the waves and not see the cars
