Tiki#140 is owned by Jackie and Jim Gallup. Our condo is one of only five Tiki ground floor units that face out and south. It is a large 712 sqft ‘B’ condo, larger than smaller 580 sqft one bedroom ‘E’ units. Tiki#140 is located in the Tiki East Building closest to the beach, ‘E’ condos are in the West Building near the office. Our condo is 25 steps from the Tiki private beach access and it has everything you could need for a weekend or a week at the beach. The condo is next to your car, far away from Clayton’s Beach Bar and construction of the new Marriott Hotel. There are new sliding doors to keep your condo quiet. It is among the best Tiki ‘B’ Condos and the Gallup’s offer it at the lowest price.

Tiki#140 has a king size bed in the bedroom and 2 recliners and 2 sleeper sofas in the living room. There is an upgraded kitchen and remodeled bath with a walk-in shower. We have 2 flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi and cable with 6 HBO channels. We provide linens, bath and beach towels and a full kitchen. The Condo has dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, blender, hairdryer, ceiling fans, dehumidifier and much more.

Family-friendly Tiki Condominium is located at north end of SPI. Across Padre Blvd is Sea Turtle Inc. and SPI Birding and Nature Center. (See picture of turtle release.) Nearby is golfing at the SPI Golf Club in Laguna VIsta, the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, SPI's Schlitterbahn Water Park and visiting Mexico at the Progresso border crossing. There is fishing in the surf, deep sea or bay fishing trips, dolphin watching and horseback riding. There is volleyball at Clayton’s Beach Bar, swimming and windsurfing and miles of open pristine beach. The Tiki is great for families, 2 heated swimming pools, on-site coin laundry, free long distance and beautiful landscaping.

Tiki Anniversary trip

The condo was the perfect size for the two of us and our dog. We really enjoyed how close it was to the beach and ocean view. It was really nice to be able to bring our dog with us too.

Fantastic Stay

We had a fantastic stay at Jim & Jackie’s condo. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The host provided helpful check in instructions. Highly recommend for hassle-free stay on SPI.

Great location!

This condo has everything you need! Being on the first floor was nice and convenient. The grounds are well kept. Enjoyed being able to walk out my door and be at the beach within minutes.

Wonderful stay

Me and my family had a beautiful stay here at spi. The house was clean and stocked with everything you would need. The ac worked great and it was very comfortable. The location is key! Literally a quick walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Rest & Relaxation

Comfortable one bedroom/one bath condo with beach access a few feet away. Nothing fancy but was perfect for my little family who wanted a mini getaway to rest and relax all day on the beach. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Great stay close to beach

I was very pleased with the accommodations and especially with how close to the beach. We were thrilled to be able to bring our dog with us. The only thing I would recommend to the owners is to add a map of the tiki condos to the welcome package because it is challenging to find everything especially if you come in late like we did. Otherwise I have no complaints. The staff at the condos was very kind and helpful.

Best Location! Cute Place!

This was the easiest rental we have ever had. Owners and property managers for Tiki Condominiums are very communicative and friendly! The place was great and almost right on the beach. Its tucked away at the perfect spot right by the pool on one side and the beach just around the corner. 1 min walk to the beach! It was clean and a very comfortable place to stay. Would definitely stay again!

Family Spring Break Trip

Good budget friendly place to stay with a pet that met our needs just fine. The only complaint I had was it was not as clean as I would have liked (towels in the bathroom had obviously been used to dry hands and not replaced, and had stains on them.) Other than that everything else was great. Just steps from the beach, quiet at night, decently comfortable bed, ect. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place on a budget.

The property and location was great, nice area, had no disturbance from other tenants, will return.

Just wanted to let owner know, tile is cracked and loose on each corner of stove, shower valve handle very loose, lamp not working in bedroom, no baking pan, bought one and left in condo, nice area, condo needs to be renovated and updated. We did enjoy our stay at the condo, would return.

first time to spi

very nice stay. close to beach but not to close. pool area was a bit bizzy for me but that’s a minor thing to me. having never been to spi we were able to figure things out pretty easily. thanks for the opportunity to stay there. BG

Great location, really appreciated the beach, chairs, and the umbrella, very thoughtful.

Comfortable space, and furniture -some of our stays, the furniture has been more about looks than comfort, this was very comfortable. It’s a little tricky locking the front door. You have to pull quite firmly before it will lock, As the bolt hits the jamb. The door handle has some corrosion from the salt air, it sliced my finger locking the door. You might have someone run some emory paper over that, otherwise, great stay, very close to the beach super relaxing! Thanks!

Perfect little getaway

I have to admit, I 100% underestimated South Padre. We are Destin beach people, and this was a first for us. But I quickly found that SPI has so much to offer. The condo and it’s location made it even better. So very clean. Everyone had their own space. Our king size bed was very comfy. The pool area was beautiful. We did laundry every day so unpacking hopefully will be a breeze. The short walk to the beach is nice! I love seeing all the dogs on the beach. The owners are extremely nice and very communicative. We would stay here again. We have zero complaints. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation.

Heaven on Earth

Jim and Jackie have a cozy condo that contains everything you need to feel right at home. My son and I had never been to South Padre Island and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The shower had great water pressure and the bed was super soft. We had two TVs so we could both watch what we wanted without disturbing each other. There was plenty of room for just the two of us and we were extremely comfortable. The Tiki has an amazing heated pool only steps from the door. The proximity to the beach was absolutely heaven. I could sit on the front porch and listen to the stress slip away as the ocean waves were so soothing. I hope to be allowed back for a return visit. You cannot rent a nicer place in the area:)

Very nice older condominium

Overall, very nice older condo - needs some modern updating in kitchen. My major approval factor was the closeness to the beachfront, which was so wonderful! My major concern and have discussed this with the owner, is that this condo needs to be updated to a keyless entry- not using the 1 key that was provided for 4 people. Key management, with 2 teens was difficult! If key issue was resolved, would make it a super VRBO rental!

Washing towels

We for the most part enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean. The door handle was sharp and rusted which caused cuts on my hands any time I opened or closed the door. Salt air will cause that, so be careful. There is no towel exchange so you have to wash the bath towels. You can always bring your own extra towels to avoid this issue. We did not bring a pet. Although poop bags were provided people did not pick up after their pets. You might want to choose a "no pets allowed" property to avoid stepping in poop.
