Welcome to our lovely 2 Bedroom Villa with all the great amenities for a terrific vacation . Detached casita that offers privacy and 24 hour security . Modern , full service kitchen with all necessary appliances .The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with lots of storage and TV . The second bedroom has a queen bed with additional storage. Large living room have a new large screen TV's with Satellite/ cable TV. and WI-Fi
There is a large covered patio to relax , dine or enjoy the awesome sun sets . The beautiful plunge pool is adjacent to the patio.. Guests have full access to four community pools , tennis court, basketball court, and games room . The beach is a 5 min walk or you can jump on of the complimentary transporter vehicles that will take you anywhere on site. There are a number of secluded beaches , all within a hours drive. The main pool has a great swim-up bar . There are a number of small convenience stores on site. The Villa is in a safe gated community with 24 hr. security personnel . Secure parking for your vehicle . You can take a Taxi or a short 15 min. walk to local grocery stores or shops.
The Villa is is a short 20 min. drive from the Liberia airport on new paved roads.
There are five National Parks , all within a couple hours drive, including Lake Arenal, which boasts a volcano, hot springs and a world class spa. there are a number of other volcano close by. Also nearby are deep sea fishing, first class scuba diving, snorkeling, four wheeling and zip lines , just to mention a few . Within a hours drive there a waterfalls, game parks, and river adventures.

Amazing villa close to the beach

Villa Rica offered everything we needed as a family for a relaxing get away. Kids definitely appreciated the pool and hammock and with fully stocked kitchen we could eat in when we rather stay in and relax. Villa is located in a gated community with its own pool and jacuzzi and is walking distance from the beach or you can use the shuttle. We really enjoyed our stay.

The unit was fine, well located within the complex, great view, well stocked, and a shuttle to and from the beach. If you are looking for a relaxing stay, it's great. But if you want to surf, snorkel, zip, tube, etc. those things are far.

Great, relaxing villa!

Lovely villa, close to the beach and walking distance to all amenities. Beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. Playa Hermosa is more laid back and quiet than some of the other beach towns nearby, and the villas here were quiet too. Only thing that was a bit confusing was the address as google maps didnā€™t recognize it, but it wasnā€™t too difficult to figure out.

Great location for quiet time.

Happy with the overall stay, only bad thing was that I had no hot water the entire time I was there. Showers were the worst part of the day.

Fantastic location. Didn't have to drive anywhere. Simple beach access, pool access and a private plunge pool. Villa 44 was spacious and very comfortable.

A wonderful way to start a holiday.

We arrived in Costa Rica and enjoyed a few days of relaxing on the beach before starting our trip over to Monteverde . The complex on Playa Hermosa was an amazing surprise. We loved walking around the complex, the shuttle to the beach and snorkeling. The pool was wonderful .The complex was safe and very tidy

A perfect escape to warm weather

We are snowbirds, heading south each January to escape the cold and darkest month of the Pacific Northwest. This was the perfect place to escape too. The Villa is perfect for two people. My wife loved the Villa's swimming pool and I loved the hammock strung over the pool. Every day was relaxing. The beach is close by, along with some very good restaurants. We will return.

Amazing villa with Gorgeous Sunsets

Awesome property! Pictures do not do it justice. So comfortable with closets filled with everything you could need, cooler, snorkels etc... Kitchen was fully stocked with all cookware and utensils. We were raided by very messy racoons in the kitchen during the middle of the night. They can open the patio doors when closed. They must be locked. Also, shower is cold. The beach and pool are must do! We would just start walking and truck would come by and pick us up and deliver us right to the beach or villa. We highly recommend this villa.

After traveling all day to begin our Honeymoon, we get the keys to the villa and it wasnā€™t cleaned from previous visitors, so we had to wait another 3 hours for it to be cleaned. Then the beds and couches are absolutely terrible.They are very hard and old. The pillows are lumpy and flat so no comfort there either. The front curtain is ripped & hanging on by a paper clip so we had to use a pillow to keep it closed at night. The owners should seriously take some time to do some upgrades so it allows the vacationer to enjoy their stay better. Now, the location, staff, pool and restaurant was awesome! I would definitely go back to Villa Sol but would find a different villa to stay at.

Overall great. It is inside a resort community.

Overall great.The property is inside Villa Sol, which is not on the listing. Playa Hermosa has multiple normal villas, & Villa Sol/Condovac. The plus was there is a shuttle that will take you to the beach. The minus is you need a wrist bracelet and a car parking pass. Condovac is on the same property and also has shuttles, but you canā€™t use them. The villa does not have an instruction manual inside the house so you are on your own to figure out why there is no way to open the safe, how to operate the television, how to re-set the router, what Villa Sol services are accessible to you and which are not, or why the shuttle is rarely or never available to go back up the mountain (Villa Sol has few and only some of them are small enough to fit on the back roads). Having lived in Playa Hermosa before, I knew simple things like to turn the AC off when we werenā€™t home. The mapaches (long-nosed raccoons) and stray cats have learned how to open the back door. Be careful. The house needs two sets of keys if more than one person is staying there. The person who stays behind cannot open the back door from the inside without a key.The property manager is very, very responsive and helpful. A manual in the house would have made her job easier as would spare batteries for the remotes.This listing is charged in Canadian dollars. If you pay with any other currency, in addition to your rental fee an uncalculated exchange rate charge is added to your deposit and your final payment. 5/25

A Slice of Paradise

This condo exceeded all our expectations. Itā€™s spacious, comfortably and tastefully decorated with everything you need for cooking, swimming, relaxing and enjoying the beach or pool. We made use of the boogie board, fins and masks, pool noodle, many towels and beach umbrella. The condo is incredibly well-stocked. We loved the coffee and even made Shirley Temples for the kids with the grenadine someone left behind (but not for breakfast, haha). The villa is actually part of a resort with daytime, poolside, beachfront and evening activities, and the staff is so nice. Beware of the price of drinks at the pool bar. Everything was wonderful but the highlight for us was the plunge pool and patio with an amazing view (Ocean! Sunset!). The kids had so much fun in it. When they went inside , I stood in the pool gazing upon the view with my coffee or beer. Wow. The only thing Iā€™d change is 2 beds in one of the bedrooms- so the kids donā€™t have to share. But, this was a minuscule issue compared to the enjoyment we got from this heavenly little property.

Not impressed at all!!

Plus side: Check in was a breeze. The property was clean and the unit manager went above and beyond his call of duty. The place was clean and very spacious. Negative side, The place is too close to the main pool that you hear loud music all night After the 2nd night, I wanted to enjoy the patio but unfortunately, it's too terrifying as there's a large raccoon pacing back and forth and it looks hungry. It's pointless to enjoy the patio at night because of the loud music playing in the main pool area. I figured the 3rd night, it would be better, but the rodent is back pacing back and forth. After further investigating, I discovered that the main garbage area is nearby the villa. So that explains why the raccoon is in the area. I'm unable to enjoy my nights for that reason and in addition to the loud music. I'm a scuba diver and I'm not around the first half of the day but when I decided to take a break from diving and enjoy the day at the villa, you can hear the loud activity going on in the pool. I couldn't even nap in the hammock outside! I did not have a relaxing time at all. The internet is soooo slow. It's frustrating as I am trying to get some work done and unfortunately I couldn't. As for maid service, when arrived, she only mopped the floor and empty the garbage cans and brought fresh towels. She did not wash the dishes in the sink and wipe the counter top. Lastly, the furniture and appliance is so 70s style and also each night, there's a loud thumping sound outside the villa that is loud enough to wake me up. I was too afraid to check it out because of the raccoons so I just lived through it. If you're looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation, this villa is not for you. If you enjoy loud music at night and day then you will enjoy staying here.

Nos encantĆ³ la estadĆ­a en esta casa šŸ˜Š. Es amplia, cĆ³moda y muy bien equipada. Tiene dos cuartos, un baƱo, una sala y comedor espaciosos, ademĆ”s de una cocina con todo lo necesario para pasar unos dĆ­as sin preocuparse por nada. La zona de lavado y la piscina privada son un gran plus, perfectas para relajarse y disfrutar. Algo que realmente apreciamos fue lo limpia que estaba la casa. Se nota que la fumigan con frecuencia, porque no habĆ­a ni un solo insecto. TambiĆ©n nos encantaron las cortinas del corredor, que dan privacidad en todo momento y hacen que el espacio se sienta aĆŗn mĆ”s acogedor. Como detalle a considerar (aunque no tiene que ver con la casa), hay bastantes mapaches en la zona; cuando huelen comida se acercan y pueden ser algo insistentes, por lo que recomiendo dejar cerradas las puertas y ser muy cuidadoso con los desechos. SerĆ­a genial si el complejo Villas del Sol implementara un plan de reciclaje, asĆ­ todos los huĆ©spedes podrĆ­an separar los desechos y ayudar un poco mĆ”s al medio ambiente šŸŒæ. En general, Ā”una excelente opciĆ³n para descansar y disfrutar! ā¤ļø
