This is a newer beach house with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths with four full size decks. The home has a large pool and gated yard. This Home sits 400ft from the ocean and has a clear view of the intercostal water way from the front decks. Views of the ocean from the back decks. We are within walking distance to Lockwood Folly. That is were the Atlantic ocean meets the intercostal waterway. If you take quick walk to ""The Point which is the end of the island you will enjoy wonderful sunsets or sit on the front porch rocking in the chairs and watch the sunset....the choice is yours. Decks have Pollywood furniture to relax while enjoying the views or dining Al Fresco. The home is beautifully decorated with all new furnishings. Spacious outdoor shower with dressing area. There is a De-Sanding Station near the outside shower. Gourmet Kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Bar Top with four stools. Kitchen is fully stocked with all kitchen essentials. Large Dining room table seats 10. Full Size stackable washer and dryer. There are two living areas. Upstairs family room with vaulted ceiling and first floor den. Both Living areas have 60 inch TVs. Basic cable TV with with Apple TV Free Wifi. Central Air Conditioning and Ceiling fans in all rooms. Linens and towels not provided. Home has 1 baby Gate.

Property is beautiful; however it does not come with Linens. This was not well informed in the property description. Also, after stay we were charged a significant part of our security deposit for cleaning and damage not caused by us. Be sure to take photos of property before stay to ensure your position on how the property was left. With these precautions and awareness you should have a nice stay!

Great time!

We had an amazing trip with 10 people ranging from 1 to 81 years old. Plenty of room for everyone, close to the beach, and the pool was a great feature. Great host too!

We had a wonderful stay. There was plenty of room for our family. We loved the view from the balcony. The short walk to the beach was a plus as well. My sister‘s grandchildren loved the pool. We will definitely be looking to book in the future.

Great Week

Fantastic hosts, great communication with them. House had everything we needed. Loved the umbrellas for the patio around the pool. House is on the quiet end of the island, which we prefer.

Oak Island 2024

Great property and the host was very resposive and addressed all of our questions and minor issues quickly. Our family has been going to Oak Island for many years and we declared this property's pool and patio area the best! The guest bedrooms are a bit tight but the master suite is spacious and has access to both front and back decks. The views of the ocean from the top deck are great even though the property is 3 rows from the beach. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect Week

We absolutely loved our week on the west end of Oak Island. The home was absolutely perfect. Our family loved the pool, the comfort of the home, and the gorgeous views from all the windows. We cooked many meals there, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would 100% recommend this house to others.

Fantastic

This was a beautiful home!! The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked every meal for a week, even had meat thermometer!!! The family room was spacious and decorated nicely. We would love to stay at this perfect location again!!

Family vacation

Our family enjoyed this beautiful house and setting. The grandsons especially enjoyed the pool. Sitting on the decks and reading was wonderful. The beach was close and we all enjoyed walking along it just before sunset.

A Must Stay!

My family and I enjoyed our trip so much we didn't want to leave. The home was so beautiful and exceeded all of our expectations. It was clean, spacious, and had great views of the ocean and marsh from both decks. The backyard oasis was where we spent most of our time hanging out. The pool was amazing! The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly with a short walk to the beach. The owners are super friendly and quick to respond to any concerns or questions. Definitely looking forward to a return visit. Book it!

Wonderful house for a family get together in an excellent location.

My husband and I, our 2 children with spouses, and 3 grandchildren shared the house for a week. It had multiple decks and family space so that we had room to spread out. The views were fabulous. We all enjoyed the opportunity to visit the beach or pool (sometimes both in the same day!) The outdoor shower and rinsing station were very convenient. There was a misunderstanding with the cleaning person's schedule, but the owner made it right and she came within the next day or two. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well laid out with plenty of closet space. I have 2 suggestions that are VERY minor. 1) Put a king sized blanket on the king sized bed. My husband and I played "tug of war" with it all night. :) 2) Add a few more pieces of inexpensive flatware (knives, forks, spoons). We found ourselves hand washing them during the day to make it to the evening. Overall I would highly recommend spending time here if one visits Oak Island.

We loved this house! The family all said, “When we go back to OKI we must rent this house again.” It was perfect for us. It was clean, spacious, and a quick walk to the public beach access.

Perfect beach getaway!

It was our first trip back to the Carolina coast in the Covid era and it was perfect! Our family was looking forward to a stress-free week-long getaway and we certainly got that and more in our stay at the New Sand Castle property! It was extremely clean, featured great views of both the ocean and marsh, and has an amazing pool-centric backyard oasis. The owners are very courteous and responsive. We can’t wait to book again!

Outstanding house and trip !

This was our first experience with a VRBO, and we were a bit nervous, but greatly in need of a COVID19 safe vacation for the family. The owner was prompt and responsive to my myriad of questions. Upon arrival, the home was immaculate and cleaned thoroughly. Everything was in perfect shape, beautifully decorated home, and all items in working order. The pool was heated. The kitchen fully stocked with appliances and utensils. Within walking distance of the beach, but as we had small children and elderly parents attending we rented a golf cart for their convenience. We stayed for 7 days and had an absolutely wonderful time. I hope this becomes an annual family trip at this lovely home.

Excellent Extended family vacation!

We had a great stay! All the kids (4 boys ages 5-8) had so much fun in the pool! Short walk to beach across and down the street. Kitchen was well stocked and beds slept comfy. We loved sitting on the deck! Lots of space.

Family vacation 2021

As grandparents, we wanted a house that both the kids and adults could enjoy and this house certainly provided our family a great vacation. Each morning we’d make a short walk to the point where we’d spend 4-5 hours at the beach. In the afternoon the adults couldn’t relax in the shaded pool area while the kids had a great time in the pool. All meals were prepared in a great kitchen and there was adequate space inside for everyone to spread out and watch movies o︅r︅ play games at night. The owner was great to work with and also replied to questions quickly. I highly recommend this property for your next vacation.

Wonderful week on Oak Island

We love Oak Island, and we loved this house. Well appointed kitchen, nice pool and beautiful views. House is spotlessly clean with lots of little touches that make it feel like a home away from home. Access to the beach is an easy walk along Beach Dr. Eddie responds to all questions very quickly. Gracious hosts!

Wonderful Getaway!

My family had the best week at Oak Island. This home is described perfectly. The owners take such wonderful care of their beach house and it is beautifully decorated. The beach is a very short walk from the home (maybe 3min) and their lovely pool was a highlight for my children. Highly recommend bringing or renting bikes! The pointe, located a short walk down from this home, is a wonderful place to fish, have cocktails on the beach at sunset or kayak (2 provided)! We really cannot say enough wonderful things about the home, the owners (Eddie and his wife) and Oak Island! Already looking forward to next summer at this home!

Wonderful Spring Break!

My family and I throughly enjoyed our spring break vacation in this beautiful home on this wonderful island. The home was very comfy, convenient, clean, quiet and just what we needed! It is nicely furnished and has all that you will need to enjoy nice meals, sunset happy hours, fun at the beach or fun sleeping in! I highly recommend this home. Wonderful house in fabulous location

Our stay at this lovely house was the highlight of our spring 2021! It was our first trip to Oak Island and we were pleasantly surprised that the house was located in the very best part - far end which was quiet and close to the beach as well as the Point which was perfect for putting in our SUPs. House itself was very nicely appointed and had it been warm enough to use the pool I’m sure that would have been ideal as well! Highly recommend this house - Eddie is super responsive and friendly! We will for certain be back!

A Fantastic Week

Eddie was a great host, very easy to speak to and quick on his replies, which is much appreciated. The home was perfect! VERY, VERY clean and beautiful. It’s really hard to find a well-maintained home, many of the rental companies in Oak Island and the OBX poorly maintain their properties. Eddie keeps his property/home in perfect condition. The house was clean, it had new furniture, a great layout, a nice (and clean) pool, and is in a great location. We walked to the beach almost daily. The walk is 3min, and easy. The beaches seem less crowded which was nice. We also spent some time at the inlet, which is also within walking distance, albeit a little farther. We have previously stayed in homes in the OBX, but going forward we will plan to stay here. Thanks Eddie!

Great house with great views

Beautiful home at the end of Oak Island. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the home and the modern updates. Pool was great and the kids enjoyed it every day. The beach is just a five minute walk away.
