This is a newer beach house with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths with four full size decks. The home has a large pool and gated yard. This Home sits 400ft from the ocean and has a clear view of the intercostal water way from the front decks. Views of the ocean from the back decks. We are within walking distance to Lockwood Folly. That is were the Atlantic ocean meets the intercostal waterway. If you take quick walk to ""The Point which is the end of the island you will enjoy wonderful sunsets or sit on the front porch rocking in the chairs and watch the sunset....the choice is yours. Decks have Pollywood furniture to relax while enjoying the views or dining Al Fresco. The home is beautifully decorated with all new furnishings. Spacious outdoor shower with dressing area. There is a De-Sanding Station near the outside shower. Gourmet Kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Bar Top with four stools. Kitchen is fully stocked with all kitchen essentials. Large Dining room table seats 10. Full Size stackable washer and dryer. There are two living areas. Upstairs family room with vaulted ceiling and first floor den. Both Living areas have 60 inch TVs. Basic cable TV with with Apple TV Free Wifi. Central Air Conditioning and Ceiling fans in all rooms. Linens and towels not provided. Home has 1 baby Gate.

Great time!

We had an amazing trip with 10 people ranging from 1 to 81 years old. Plenty of room for everyone, close to the beach, and the pool was a great feature. Great host too!

Family vacation

Our family enjoyed this beautiful house and setting. The grandsons especially enjoyed the pool. Sitting on the decks and reading was wonderful. The beach was close and we all enjoyed walking along it just before sunset.

This was a beautiful home!! The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked every meal for a week, even had meat thermometer!!! The family room was spacious and decorated nicely. We would love to stay at this perfect location again!!

Property is beautiful; however it does not come with Linens. This was not well informed in the property description. Also, after stay we were charged a significant part of our security deposit for cleaning and damage not caused by us. Be sure to take photos of property before stay to ensure your position on how the property was left. With these precautions and awareness you should have a nice stay!

Perfect Week

We absolutely loved our week on the west end of Oak Island. The home was absolutely perfect. Our family loved the pool, the comfort of the home, and the gorgeous views from all the windows. We cooked many meals there, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would 100% recommend this house to others.

Perfect beach getaway!

It was our first trip back to the Carolina coast in the Covid era and it was perfect! Our family was looking forward to a stress-free week-long getaway and we certainly got that and more in our stay at the New Sand Castle property! It was extremely clean, featured great views of both the ocean and marsh, and has an amazing pool-centric backyard oasis. The owners are very courteous and responsive. We canā€™t wait to book again!

Hidden Treasure

This was our first time coming to Oak Island for vacation! We could not have picked a better place to stay. The house was immaculate and had wonderful accommodations and breath taking views. The private pool was awesome and the kitchen had everything we needed. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond when we had questions. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful week on Oak Island

We love Oak Island, and we loved this house. Well appointed kitchen, nice pool and beautiful views. House is spotlessly clean with lots of little touches that make it feel like a home away from home. Great property and the host was very resposive and addressed all of our questions and minor issues quickly. Our family has been going to Oak Island for many years and we declared this property's pool and patio area the best! The guest bedrooms are a bit tight but the master suite is spacious and has access to both front and back decks. The views of the ocean from the top deck are great even though the property is 3 rows from the beach. Highly recommend this property!

Worth every penny!

This house was amazing. Very clean, and decor is beautiful. The views are terrific and the owners are very responsive. Kitchen is very well appointed and with high end appliances and large enough for more than one person to utilize at a time. The pool was wonderful perk for some rainy days we had and the outdoor shower is super convenient. My family and friends had a very memorable vacation. A definite gem on the island. It will not disappoint!

A Must Stay!

My family and I enjoyed our trip so much we didn't want to leave. The home was so beautiful and exceeded all of our expectations. It was clean, spacious, and had great views of the ocean and marsh from both decks. The backyard oasis was where we spent most of our time hanging out. The pool was amazing! The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly with a short walk to the beach. The owners are super friendly and quick to respond to any concerns or questions. Definitely looking forward to a return visit. Book it!

Wonderful!

Seaglass was a wonderful home on Oak Island. It was absolutely beautiful on the inside. The living room, dining room and kitchen were all open and allowed for a great family reunion for three generations coming from three different cities. The bedrooms and bathrooms were situated nicely. We had a view of the ocean from both deck levels. The pool was awesome too! It came in very handy on a less than stellar weather day and enabled us to stay close to home in case it rained.

Beautiful clean home perfect location!

We alway use VRBO to rent our summer beach homes and this is by far our best experience yet! This home is stunning, beautifully decorated, amazing pool, wonderful views and so close to the ocean. The house was so clean and stocked with all the necessities. We loved that it was at the end of the island it was so private and tranquil. We loved having breakfast with our children every morning on the porch with that amazing ocean view. We cooked at the house every night but one and having the grill was so nice and the house had all the cooking utensils we could have needed. The pool was by far our favorite aspect of the house it was the perfect size and plenty of chairs to lounge on. The owners of the home were so helpful in the planning process, and were so quick to respond. They were communicating from the day we checked into the home to ensure we had the perfect vacation, and that we did! I would highly recommend this beautiful home, you will never want to leave!

Oak Island Paradise

The experience of this property was truly sublime, its light and interior and exterior spaces far richer than the photographs reflected. I literally called my husband on the phone when I arrived before him, delighted at its beauty. Every attention to detail has been given to this property from individual laundry baskets in each closet, to pens and notepads and rubber bands in drawers, to a truly well appointed kitchen, candles to light, tissue boxes in every bathroom, throw blankets, etc. I have always wondered what a farm house sink is like and I discovered I want one! I have generally felt uncomfortable in every rental in which we have stayed because, well, it just doesn't feel like home. Not this house. I did not want to go home as it was better in many ways than where we live!. That is rare. If you care about art, decor, the comfort of furniture, modern amenities, wrap around views, privacy, simplicity, and above all LIGHT--I cannot emphasize this enough---this is your house. And Ed, the owner, is beyond prompt, personable and responsive. When I think about our stay here it is like a light blue colored poem that washed away our collective anxiety of the pandemic. This property is clearly loved and you will love it too. We would gladly stay her again!

Wonderful house for a family get together in an excellent location.

My husband and I, our 2 children with spouses, and 3 grandchildren shared the house for a week. It had multiple decks and family space so that we had room to spread out. The views were fabulous. We all enjoyed the opportunity to visit the beach or pool (sometimes both in the same day!) The outdoor shower and rinsing station were very convenient. There was a misunderstanding with the cleaning person's schedule, but the owner made it right and she came within the next day or two. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well laid out with plenty of closet space. I have 2 suggestions that are VERY minor. 1) Put a king sized blanket on the king sized bed. My husband and I played "tug of war" with it all night. :) 2) Add a few more pieces of inexpensive flatware (knives, forks, spoons). We found ourselves hand washing them during the day to make it to the evening. Overall I would highly recommend spending time here if one visits Oak Island.

Outstanding house and trip !

This was our first experience with a VRBO, and we were a bit nervous, but greatly in need of a COVID19 safe vacation for the family. The owner was prompt and responsive to my myriad of questions. Upon arrival, the home was immaculate and cleaned thoroughly. Everything was in perfect shape, beautifully decorated home, and all items in working order. The pool was heated. The kitchen fully stocked with appliances and utensils. Within walking distance of the beach, but as we had small children and elderly parents attending we rented a golf cart for their convenience. We stayed for 7 days and had an absolutely wonderful time. I hope this becomes an annual family trip at this lovely home.

You will enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean off back decks and views of the Davis canal from the front decks.. You will love the beautiful reverse floor plan with the kitchen, dining room and family room on the top floor with an open floor plan for entertaining guests of all ages.
With beach access only a 3 minute walk of the house you can relax and put your toes in the sand. After the beach, enjoy our in-ground pool and concrete pool deck, with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and outdoor shower with dressing area.
