Part of Moonflower Vacation Retreat, this one bedroom one bath apartment has A/C, a full kitchen, bar-top dining area, living room with flat screen television, large front porch with French door entry, and access to washer and dryer.

Guests also get FREE day passes to Placencia Beach Club for use of their pool.

There's not another property like this in Placencia. We've kept the two lots separating Moonflower from the sea vacant and without obstruction to provide a large, extended private beach. There is also parking- a rare commodity for sidewalk residences- should you choose to rent a car of golf cart, though you'll find everything you need within walking distance.
Guest access
This listing describes the southern-most of the two ground floor apartments of Moonflower, a vacation retreat in Hibiscus Beach. The apartment is fully self-contained and private, with one entrance/exit via a large sliding glass door on the porch. Guests have shared access to a utility room with washer & dryer.

Guests also get FREE day passes to Placencia Beach Club for use of their pool.
Other things to note
Hibiscus Beach has 24/7 presence. Our groundskeepers keeps the beach free of seagrass and detritus and our security guards patrol the grounds at night. Our hospitality managers are available to answer any questions our guests may have about Hibiscus Beach or Placencia in general and can assist in booking tours and suggesting adventures.
Placencia has earned the moniker: "Barefoot Perfect." This describes not only the beaches and affinity of locals to forgo shoes, but also its laid-back lifestyle. Locals are charming, friendly, and extremely accommodating. Violence is almost unheard of on the peninsula.

Relaxing Beach Getaway

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend a relaxing few days. The villa had everything we needed; the property was beautiful; and the location was great! We had a lot of seaweed while we were there, but with access to the Placencia beach club, we could walk down there to get in the ocean or get in the pool. The seaweed didn't stop us from sitting outside and enjoying the view. The village sidewalk was right behind us and it was an easy walk to good restaurants and bars. Walking in the village felt very safe during the day and at night. We would love to come back and stay here again!

Perfect location

Beautiful beach front property. Quick access to the whole village. Well maintained and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Moonflower. The location was perfect and the property manager Joyce was so kind and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend Moonflower if you’re planning to stay in Placencia.

Serenity on the beach

We already miss the ocean breeze and sound of the surf. Great location with private beach, close to the sidewalk which runs parallel to the beach and leads past bars, restaurants and local shops all the way to the pier. We would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed the Moonflower!

I really enjoyed my 5 weeks at the Moonflower - South. Beautiful presentation, lovely grounds & a great apartment. Very close to "The Sidewalk". I my only suggestion is to improve the kitchen supplies. A pasta strainer, sharper knives, glass bowl for cooking in the microwave & a sheet pan for oven use. Cooked several meals during my stay. Appreciated that dish soap and hand soap were in the kitchen & handsoap in the bathroom.

Location Location

Beautiful private yard on a perfect beach!! A perfect view and swimming in the ocean everyday. Quiet area on the Palencia sidewalk and only a short walk to great restaurants, shopping and fun! We will be back!!

Great Piece of Heaven

I stayed here for a month and it was fabulous. The property itself was very manicured and the Apartment was very clean. I don’t know how they did it, but surprisingly I never saw 1 ant inside the apartment which I feel is very hard to do when you’re on the beach. I spent most of my days on the patio enjoying the beach view and the great breeze. My one and only issue was the initial unit did not have a couch as described in the listing. Instead there were 2 chairs. However, they were very quick to change out the furniture till they had an open unit to move me over to that did have a great couch. The owner was very apologetic. The property manager Joyce was super sweet and helped me find things to do since I was there for so long. I ended up not wanting to leave in the end. I will stay here again and refer friends here. Thank you for an enjoyable stay and making me feel like I was home.

This was our third time in Placencia Village so we knew the village. We enjoyed eating at favorite places, walking, and swimming and hanging out at the beach club. Perfect.

Beautiful, modern condo right on the beach. Great location to all restaurants and bars. Casey was great to work and their onsite manager Joyce was awesome.

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Moonflower! Beginning with the reservations with Casey he was prompt to get back with us with our inquiry on dates and several questions that we had. We arrived and immediately noticed all the attention to detail on the grounds and when we got inside this place was absolutely spotless and everything you could need in a kitchen were there and throughout the apartment! The bed was fabulous and the location was quiet so that added to a great rest on this trip. The AC worked well also. Jaime the groundskeeper cut coconuts for us anytime we asked and was helpful with questions about things to do and about the local culture. Joyce helped us with everything from meal reservations, covid tests and taxi transportation. I cant say enough about the hospitality this qroup extended to us for the 2 weeks that we vacationed in Placencia. A+ all the way!

Fabulous location and view!

The apartment was well appointed, super clean, and ideally located. I spent every morning watching the sunrise with my cup of coffee. The location is quiet and beautiful and still close to everything you need. The property manager was very nice and available any time I had a question. It was convenient to have parking nearby also. The apartment is roomy and you’ll feel that you are living in a lovely beachfront apartment. This is a great place to stay, and I definitely could have stayed here for an extended stay.

Great stay

10 days at the Moonflower just wasn’t enough! The location of the unit couldn’t be better. Close enough to everything, but very quiet. The unit could use either a couch, or more comfortable chairs for sitting after dark. That along with a pretty skinny kitchen pan selection (one small frying pan) and a barbecue would be great! But none of that will stop us from coming back. Casey was very good to work with and helped us greatly when we had to work with our schedule because of some unexpected issues. Overall a wonderful place. Thanks

Absolutely amazing

The moonflower was absolutely incredible. The unit was perfect and Just steps from the beach. What you see is what you get and we could not have been more pleased with our 2 week stay. Friendly staff and Joyce was a huge help with planning day trips and getting us in touch with the right people to get us there. Highly recommend this unit and look forward to returning!

The perfect place to stay in Placencia

Can't say enough good things about this rental and the folks who run it. Casey and his family were delightful and easy to deal with. Always responded to our questions immediately. The unit is right on the beach and is spotless and comfortable inside. They have everything you need to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. The locations is right on the Placencia sidewalk but towards the end away from the pier which is more quite but just a few minutes' walk to be right in the middle of the restaurants and shops. Wayne, Casey's dad, gave us so many great recommendations on places to eat and even got us in touch with Eric Foreman, who we went out fishing with one morning and had a blast. He cleaned and filet some of our catch and we cooked it back at the condo for lunch. We let him and his family have the rest since we were leaving the next day. Also Casey put us in touch with Jason at Truly Wild Belize for our land tours and transportation needs. If you plan a trip here, you won't be disappointed. Our unit was perfect for my husband and I and we plan to visit again. We feel as though when we go back we will be staying with friends.

Modern luxury and fun in the sun!

This was a truly special place for a romantic getaway and a place to unwind. The view is spectacular from the lanai as you gaze out into the ocean. From the well-appointed kitchen to the comfortable bed, everything felt just like home to us. The grocery was just steps away and restaurants an easy 5-10 minute stroll along the ocean boardwalk. We spent 2 amazing weeks at this lovely seaside condo and can easily see ourselves coming back!

The Perfect Getaway

This is just a fantastic place. We spent 2 weeks in Feb there and it was just awesome. The location is perfect, just on the very northern edge of the village but an easy walk to restaurants, shops and groceries. The setting is gorgeous with huge frontage on the Caribbean which is maintained daily. The apartment is super comfortable and spotless and the perfect size for two. The best part however are the people. Cindy the onsite manager is as friendly and helpful a person you'll ever find. Everyone we met there was so friendly and genuinely interested in making our stay a perfect experience we truly hated to leave.

Beautiful Little Seaside Stay

We spent 10 days at this beautiful location. It was right on the Caribbean sea. The condo was lovely, well decorated, and very comfortable and convenient. Cindy (the property manager) was extremely helpful and was able to get us things that we needed to make our stay more comfortable. The condo is well located within walking distance to the peninsula and close to a grocery store and anything else we needed. We would highly recommend it.

Unbelievable access to beach and village

My husband and I were in Belize for the first time to attend a friend's wedding. We were thrilled with this "just right" condo with beach for a front yard and just steps from the famous Sidewalk leading to wonderful restaurants and shops. Cindy, the property manager, was friendly and helpful.

Modern and only paces from the beach

This place was amazing to say the least. From the beachfront view to the friendly groundskeeper! The property manager, Cindy was more than willing to help with anything we needed. We were also able to meet the property manager Casey and he was very committed to making sure we enjoyed our stay. The apartment had everything we needed and then some. With a short walk from the village there is no need to worry about finding food or groceries near by with a market just south of the property it was easy. The beach in front of the property was so clean with no grass like some of the beach has on the peninsula. If you're looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay and close to the village, shops, and restaurants, I wouldn't hesitate to rent this place again!
