Welcome to Charlie's Place at beautiful Sanders Island View, Lake Texoma! Sanders Island View is one of the nicest communities on the lake and we know how important location is for friend and family gatherings. Our beautiful location is 3 blocks from a sandy beach, boat ramp and loading dock. This colorful and completely renovated vintage mobile home is 1,000 sq. ft, 3 bedroom and 2 bath. It sleeps 8 comfortably in beds but also offers additional sleeping options with its sofa and queen air mattress if need be (contact owner for more than 8). Enjoy comfortable places to rest after a long day on the water or just enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lake and surroundings. The home is ideal for a small group of friends or family get togethers who are looking to create lasting memories at the lake. Come and see why we pride ourselves in location and hospitality.

Nice and quiet house

It was a wonderful little house to stay in. Quiet neighborhood and the property owner was super helpful on places to eat and live music. Definitely will return again next chance we have

We didn’t stay a day because of bedbugs. My kids got bitten by bedbugs when they were taking naps. We left the day we checked in and trashed our all clothes and baby pillows.

I have had pest control come after your accusation and there were NO bedbugs found. These reports have been sent to VRBO. Your defamatory review is untrue and hurtful. The evening you came, it had just rained. It was hot and humid and there were many mosquitoes everywhere. We saw your children playing in the yard after sundown and they were obviously bitten. I’m sure you were unhappy when you arrived and saw that the mobile home was too small for you and your large group of people. You were only suppose to have 8 total! You complained about the outdoor grille and my husband and I came and scrubbed it for 30 minutes then you said you no longer wanted to use it. Apparently, you wanted to leave and get refunded so the bedbug story seemed like a good reason to get a refund. You won’t be getting a refund and defamation is serious. I have never had a bad review in the 10 years of hosting. I guess there’s a first time for everthing.

Enough space for family; short drive to the beach.

Overall we liked our stay here. A word of warning: cell reception is poor and there is no wifi. In the heat, it is not walkable to the lake. I wish the sinks and bathrooms were better stocked with toiletries and hand soap.

July 2023, WE NOW HAVE FAST INTERNET! I’m sorry you couldn’t walk comfortably to the lake. True, we’ve been having extreme heat from 100-110 degrees. It’s uncomfortable being outside period and walking 2-3 blocks can be unbearable. Since our area is still fairly remote, we do sometimes still have trouble with Wi-Fi and reception. It’s always better if you step outside on the deck. We are always stocked with plenty of toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, towels, washcloths, hand towels, liquid hand soap, liquid body wash, bubble bath and bath salts. I’m not exactly sure what else you would want. We use liquid soaps as we feel it is more sanitary. We are not a hotel that offers the little bars of soap as most people prefer liquid body wash now anyway. I am sorry you were disappointed in the bathroom toiletries and the extreme heat.

This cabin is exactly what you should expect from the pricing. We really enjoyed the stay for a guys trip on the lake. Front porch was perfect for hanging out with a cigar, beds and furniture were nicer than the pricing reflects. The house itself was to be expected for an older single wide at the lake. If you are tall 6' you will go home with funny stories. Neighborhood is top notch and one of the better areas of texoma. Ramp is very close and has a loading dock. We launched our 24' center console without issue, but it is a single lane shallow ramp. If you have a smaller boat it will be a breeze. Host was very responsive and amenities were as advertised.

30th Wedding Anniversary Weekend

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this rental! The place was decorated so cute and it was very clean and comfy. I have never stayed at a VRBO that supplied as much as Connie and Steve did. We had a little chocolates and water bottles beside our bed when we got there. Also lots of beach towels to take out the lake. In the mornings we could drink coffee and watch hummingbirds and other birds all over the place. So peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend this place and plan on returning!

Great getaway

We had a great time with our family on the 4th here. Best little community, great if u have a boat or just want to get away to a great quiet golf cart community. We beached our boat over night right down the street along with others and had a great experience with all around us. Connie made out stay great and we had all that u could need right there. She was very responsive if we had a question. We will definitely be back for another stay at Charlie's place!!!

Family Fishing at the Lake

This house was perfect for my family of 5 adults. We have a Blue Wave fishing boat and have had trouble in the past with parking. Charlie’s Place had enough room for it. It was also great because it really is close to a boat ramp that is very easy to back into. The renovations inside give it a modern feel. The AC worked and the water was hot. It was very clean. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will absolutely consider it again.

Great Weekend

Fishing Trip

We had a fantastic time. Very short walk to the lake with a nice beach area. Great neighborhood! The house was clean and very comfortable. We spent lots of time on the front porch. Would stay there again.

A little family vacation spot.

Looking to take the grandchildren to a little vacation before school that was close and found this place up at Lake Texoma. Everything we needed was there, quiet, and just what we needed. Fishing, swimming, games, cards on the porch. 7 year old granddaughter said “best vacation ever”. Thanks again.

Hi! My name is Connie and I am the proud owner of Charlie's Place! I am a retired elementary school teacher and my husband and I spend much of our time here at the lake. I have 3 grown daughters, 6 grandchildren and 6 rescued fur babies.

Location, location, location! This property was purchased with my late father over 20 years ago. We have worked hard on the home throughout the years, grooming the yard and adding our own personal touches. About 2 years ago, we gave the home a complete renovation including new AC/heat and appliances. The updates are pleasantly noticeable upon arrival at Charlie's Place.

Within walking distance of the beach, less than a 5 min. walk. Spacious deck to enjoy the large, beautifully manicured yard and surroundings. Very private.
