We had a wonderful time. Our plans to float the river were actually cancelled due to thunderstorms. The home had plenty alternatives to occupy our party of 12. Everything was clean, instructions clearly posted for any questions that came up, we really had a great time!

Fabulous House!

Our friend group of 25 years meets annually for a weekend get away. Everyone loved this house! It is 120 years old, but it is in excellent condition and beautiful! We were still noticing gorgeous details in all the rooms up until the last day. The view from the back of the house is spectacular. The game room is amazing, and we had so much fun playing shuffleboard and pool.

Amazingly wonderful home

Property was very clean and much larger than I expected. Stayed with family and a friend with her husband and two grandchildren. I couldn’t say enough about this beautiful property and spectacular views. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had and we were impressed with their promptness.

Hill Country Awesomeness!

We booked our stay at Rimrock Ranch property, but due to a minor pool issue, we stayed at Bendigo Ranch. Our stay was fabulous and Shiloh with Vacation Property Masters provided outstanding service! Will definitely be back!

Even better in person!!

This place was awesome. Plenty of room for our party of 13. The pool and hot tub were so cool to enjoy on a hot day with one of the best views I’ve seen in central Texas. We wouldn’t look anywhere else if coming back to this area.

Great property, great people

This property is awesome. It's great for families and large groups of friends. There is a lot to keep everyone entertained and the morning and evening views are a great way to start/end the day. Shiloh and the management are great people and super responsive.

Amazing house and views and they had everything!! We will definitely come back!!

These owners have provided everything a group needs. From the stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds to the amazing views!! We will definitely come back in the summertime and bring the family and enjoy the pool. Thanks for letting your property be the highlight of our girls weekend!

Family/Friends Vacation

Our vacation was wonderful. We loved the charm and character of the Victorian house. The game room and pool areas were great to gather and hang out with the group. Loved all the different seating areas on the grounds. We truly enjoyed the view which was awesome both in the mornings and evenings.

Love the location, the views were spectacular!

The pool, the hot tub, the game room and everything inside the house was as expected. The weather was perfect we had cool mornings and hot afternoons for the swimming I loved drinking my coffee on the second deck overlooking the valley. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic family time

We rented the house for a place to be while my son and his new bride got married in San Marcos. The house was beautiful and plenty of room for everyone. My only concern was there were no dressers in the bedrooms to put our clothes away. We were there for nearly a week and would highly recommend. Definitely will look to booking this again if we head back to Hill country in Texas. The views were out of this world. It certainly was the icing on the cake to a very wonderful wedding with family.

Room with a view

Four couples shared the home during New Year's Eve and had a wonderful time. The amenities with the outdoor grill and hot tub are great but it was the location that made the whole weekend. The view from the bedrooms, living area and back porch are spectacular! If you want a hill country experience, this is the place.

Beautiful view and setting.

Outside needs a little TLC but very nice property. A refrigerator in the game room would be nice.

Excellent!

Spacious, old farmhouse, beautifully restored. Very clean & private. Amazing view. Owners responded immediately to any questions we had. Wimberly is a great town with gift shops and good restaurants. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful house and views

The house was very pretty and nostalgic feeling! Had absolutely beautiful views for miles! Loved sitting on the porch and by the fire pit! House had everything we needed to cook and anything we needed. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house with us and hope to come back again some day!

Beautiful home with gorgeous views

We had an amazing get-together (4 adult siblings and 4 spouses) for 3 days at this beautiful house and property. Lots of room and great amenities. Everything was perfect. The owners have several properties and we wouldn’t hesitate to rent again from them. It is managed well and has been kept up well. We Loved everything!

Great view!

We enjoyed a wonderful quiet week in this large home. Home was able to accommodate 4 couples with room for more. Home provided everything we needed. Awesome views all day without any noise. Large outside area for BBQ and swimming. There are a few minor things that need to be fixed, but we definitely would come back.

Beautiful historic home with stunning views. My friends and I came for a girls weekend. The owners have done a beautiful job updating this home yet keeping It’s historic ambience and decor. It was extremely comfortable and the property is just spectacular. Unfortunately we had a little cold snap come through so we weren’t able to enjoy the outside area as much as we would’ve liked to.

Views and good times for days!

Wow, the pictures of this property do not do it justice. This 3-story Victorian rests next to a canyon with views for days! The pool, the hot tub, the game room and all the amenities were absolutely fantastic! The sunset was a daily event as we sat on the balconies and enjoyed every second of beauty it provided. The beds were comfy, the house was spacious and we're already talking about when we can come back. We simply fell in love with this gorgeous house.

Phil and Peggy Collins bought this house in late 2015. We own other vacation rental properties in San Marcos, Wimberley, and Coldspring, Texas, as well as in Evergreen, Colorado. Phil and Peggy have owned vacation rental properties in this are since 2005, and are living here full time. Our Son Michael, and his wife Shiloh moved up here in 2016, and manage all of these properties full time.

We purchased this property for the amazing views, privacy, and close proximity to Wimberley, San Marcos, Austin, and San Antonio. We really love the character and charm of older homes and were very excited to update the original 1905 house on the property. This house was built as a professor's house at Southwest Teachers Institute ( became SWTSU, then TSU ) in San Marcos. The house was moved onto this site by the previous owner back in 1988. It had been sitting unused for several years when we bought it, and then we did a complete update and remodel. We think that you will love this house as much as we do.

This is a very special property. It gives all of the charm of a 1905 victorian home, with all of the modern comforts and conveniences that we are used to. The house is over 4,000 sq ft, so it allows for larger groups, with enough room so that everyone is not underfoot all the time. The views from every floor are just incredible. The rock work on the outside adds hill country charm, as guests enjoy the hot tub, fire pit, BBQ area, and other walking paths.
