Make Your Memories At Adorable Browns Lake/Cedar Park Cottage

Adorable ~700 square foot cottage in Cedar Park Estates just steps away from family friendly Browns Lake and private sandy bottom Cedar Park beach, fishing pier and boat launch. Located just ONE hour from the north side of Chicago! The house comfortably sleeps four (one queen and one set of twin bunks) with room for blow up mattresses in bunk bedroom and living area. Beautiful deck and screened porch for entertaining as well as green space for little ones to collect fireflies and frog hunt. A charcoal BBQ and firepit are located just off deck on concrete walk. The kitchen is stocked with necessities to make your meals and eat at home in a dining area with wraparound windows. Smart TV with basic cable, DVD player and internet for your fav viewing (i.e., Netflix, Hulu, Amazon). The bathroom has a clean ceramic walk-in shower and a stackable washer and dryer is in the house.

We have raised our two children spending summers at the Cedar Park beach, park and biking the nearby hills and would not change it for anything! This is a great opportunity to have the family relax and spend time together in the water, fishing, walking, playing and just being outside.

Things to bring???

A boat if you have one! You can launch from Cedar Park for $10/day and there is plenty of room to store the boat on the driveway. Browns Lake is an all sports lake. Bring on the skiers!

Paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and sailboats are all welcome and encouraged.

Fishing poles and equipment-There are plenty of eager sunfish, bass (large and small mouth) and walleye to hop on your line from the Cedar Park fishing pier.

Volleyball (sand court @ beach) and basketball, tennis rackets and baseball equipment for Cedar Park playground a few houses down Fischer Drive.

Bikes-The Browns Lake/Burlington area has wonderful topography for a scenic bike ride with children or a challenging workout for road and off-road bikers.

Wonderful!

The cottage was very clean and well stocked with everything you might need. Very friendly neighborhood and the swimming was great. The host was very responsive from start to finish. We would stay there again.

LOVE THIS HOUSE!

This house is perfect for the empty nesters. So clean and comfortable. We also love the yard and outside spaces. Close to shopping and Burlington has many fun restaurants!

Beautiful house!

Spent the weekend here to attend a concert in East Troy. Loved the cottage, relaxing vibe of the place! They had everything I forgot to pack (spices and condiments) so that helped me stress less. The short walk to the private lake access was filled with kind neighbors. Will definitely be back!

Cute Cottage in Quiet Brown's Lake neighborhood

Thank you, Sue for sharing your cottage with us for the week. We had a wonderful time, slowing down for a week of relaxation. The cottage is a quick 1 block walk to the neighborhood beach that had a great fishing dock, swimming pier and soft sand beach for the kids and adults to cool off in. The sunsets over the lake were our favorite part. Our 12 year old caught an 8lb large mouth bass off the fishing dock. That was a highlight for sure. The house was fully stocked with anything you could need and had plenty of outdoor space to sit back and relax. We all had a wonderful time at Brown's Lake. thank you, again for sharing your cottage with us.

Amazing!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The cottage is adorable and management was so friendly and responded quickly to our questions. The beach is only a couple minutes walk and is so great for children. We have a will highly recommended staying here to anyone!!!! Thanks so much Donna!!

Relaxing family getaway

Charming cottage. We had a great time staying here. Towels are fluffy and the bed is very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked and we made a lot of use of the grill and fire pit. Outdoor areas are fantastic. The private beach is one block away and our 18 month old loved it! There is no dishwasher, but there were plenty of cleaning supplies and it was fast. Owner is very responsive and has taken great care of the property. We had a GREAT weekend! Hope to rent this location again in the future.

Just what we wanted, a lovely cottage at the lake.

Three of us adults stayed at the cottage for a week. The cottage was lovely, pleasantly decorated, clean, and well equipped for what we needed. The 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen were comfortable and very adequate. We ate our meals on the porch, and appreciated having additional spaces for relaxing such as the screen porch and the large deck area. Staying at this property entitled you to use the private beach a short block away. There is a peer, a large flexible raft and water slide for kids to play on and a raft farther out. The water is very clean. . Donna was very responsive to all our communications. We hope to come again. We highly recommend staying there.

Perfect for our family of four

We had a great experience and would definitely consider renting here again. Check-in/out were easy and communication was great - including tips on things to do, places to eat, etc. Donna’s place was fully equipped with everything we needed. We all loved the airy, comfortable reading room. Great location just one street away from a small, uncrowded beach with a grocery store within 10 min drive. Approx 25 mins from Lake Geneva. We were very happy with our stay.

Little cottage getaway!

We had a great end of the summer getaway at the cottage. It was a perfect size for our little family of 3. Anymore guests, it might have been tight. My boys and I stayed for 4 nights and loved it! The screened in porch and the deck were my favorite places! Everything you need is there. Well stocked kitchen and laundry, remodeled bathroom. We had a great time!

Great location and cottage!

Our family with two little ones stayed here and loved it. Donna was a great host and went above and beyond to take care of some small things to make the stay perfect. Huge deck and separate screened deck were great for outside activities, and the wraparound lawn was great for the kids to play on. Beach or playground only a block and a half away, and many options for shopping/dining only a short drive away. Thanks!

Very clean comfortable home away from home.

I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood with the beautiful flowers in the large yard. I found the large outdoor deck area great for entertaining family and friends until the mosquitos joined us and then we could move into the screened- in porch to continue enjoying the weather. The cottage was well stocked with everything I could possibly need . The owners went out of their way to make my stay very comfortable.

Cute cottage. Great location near the little beach. Wonderful outdoor space. Inside was small, but that was listed in the 700, sf so not a surprise. It did have everything we needed. The owners were attentive to any inquiries we had. We really enjoyed dinner on the patio and using the outdoor grill.

Perfect family getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this cute cozy cottage. It was so clean and had everything you could ever want. The owners are very accommodating and response very quickly to any questions. We went for a long weekend with our two little girls who loved the beach, going out on the lake, and playing on the porch. Highly recommend staying here.

Perfect house. Super clean and quaint. Very comfortable beds. Easy to entertain inside and out.

We stayed here for two weeks and had a super time. Very relaxing, easy to cook in with lots of kitchen choices in utensils. Super clean. A lot of entertaining options with the outdoor seating, screened porch seating and dining room table in the house. Great place to have the grandkids, close to the park and the lake only a few blocks away. Love it and will return. Love sitting out on the front porch with a cuppa coffee every morning.

Cozy, cute and clean

Our stay in Burlington was fun even though the weather didn't cooperate. My 16 year old daughter, her 2 friends and I enjoyed Spring Break by playing games, watching movies, cooking together, visiting Lake Geneva and even jumping into the freezing lake making some fun memories! The owner was awesome, explaining everything and allowing us to stay after check-out to enjoy another day together. This was my 1st time using VRBO and was a such a fantastic experience I will certainly do it again! We hope to come back to Burlington to experience the lake during the summer and hope to rent this cottage again!

Wonderful

Adorable, clean, and accommodating. The house was impeccably clean when we arrived and felt warm and inviting. The kitchen came stocked with everything from a wine opener to a casserole dish. It was perfect and I plan to come back for a ladies weekend soon!

We are a family of four from Glenview, Illinois who have spent summers in Burlington since 2005. We recently bought a fixer upper on Browns Lake and are not ready to part with our family cottage just yet:) As I mentioned, lots of fun memories and good friends have been made at the cottage.

Our place is just one hour from Glenview! Close enough to commute from city if necessary but far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind of work and school. Go west at the Mars Cheese Castle exit for 18 miles to our little slice of heaven.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The screened porch is the newest addition at the cottage and most loved. We have spent many evenings with family, friends and neighbors hanging out in the screened porch while the kiddos make smores, play ghost in the graveyard or hunt fire flies.
