Casa Horizon - Playa Escameca Beach House
In the deep south of Nicaragua, just a stone's throw from Costa Rica, there's the kind of beach you can only hope to stumble upon while traveling - Playa Escameca. This tree-house in the jungle has an eco-friendly design to minimize its footprint. Long and wide, this beach has only a couple of houses and a handful of beach bungalows dotted here and there, so staying with us means you're surrounded by nothing but ocean and nature! That also means you are about as far away from honking horns, pesky sales people, crowded waves and booming late-night parties as you can get. That's exactly why Free and Easy jumped all over the opportunity to start building our very own little sanctuary for the travelers we know are out there looking for something authentic, peaceful and off-the-beaten-path.
We would like to introduce you to Casa Horizon, The Free & Easy Surf and Yoga Retreat!
Casa Horizon consists of 2 buildings, which include a total of 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, kitchen and common areas, a yoga platform or 5th bedroom, and multiple beautiful hardwood decks so you can soak in the incredible views of the beach and the EPIC horizon at sunset. Casa Horizon is close to the beach, w/ a surf break, a turtle sanctuary, and a secluded paradise. You’ll love it because of the views, the remoteness, the surf, the food, the hammocks, the proximity to the beach, the relaxed vibe & it's only 30 minutes from San Juan del Sur town! Casa Horizon is good for couples, solo adventurers, friends & family gatherings, big groups, weddings, surf camps, honeymoons and yoga retreats. The yoga studio can comfortably fit 10 people with a beach & horizon view.
Prices vary from Low to High season, and a variety of bookings can be made from single rooms, suites, or the entire Casa Horizon

ACTIVITIES: As well as doing yoga and catching waves out in the break, there is horse back riding, fishing, and massages available at an additional cost. We are happy to arrange any or all of these for you during your stay.
MEALS: If you're renting all of Casa Horizon, you can have full use of the kitchen to prepare your meals. Meals can also be catered at an additional cost per meal of about $10 - $15. We can discuss options, and help arrange this for you when you book your stay.
We can pick you up at the airport in Managua for a charge of $90USD or from San Juan del Sur if you need a ride. The cost of the shuttle to or from SJDS is $25 each direction. We are happy to take you around if you need to grab groceries before you leave town.
If you are coming from Costa Rica, we can pick you up at the border for $40.
