WELCOME TO ISLAND VIEW AT SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE

This gorgeous lakefront home is available for the summer season.

Just off the main lake and protected from busy boat traffic you can swim, kayak, tube, ski or just relax and float around while enjoying some of the best views of the lake.

It features 4 bedrooms and 3 baths with wide plank flooring in the great room, kitchen and dining area. The great room has a beautiful lofted wood plank ceiling and endless water views. There is stone gas fireplace and large flat panel TV all open to a fully equipped kitchen with bar stool seating at the peninsula. There is also a dining area for family gatherings or to sit and play cards or games.

The main level offers an impressive lakeside master suite with outdoor deck and seating, a king sized bed, large flat panel TV and a master bathroom with a walk in shower and separate soaking tub.

The second bedroom just off the great room on the main level has a queen bed and full bath.

The open kitchen, great room and dining room have easy access to a massive outdoor deck for sun bathing, sunset watching or just hanging out.

The outdoor gas grill is hooked up to our main line so you never run out of fuel. Barbecue and enjoy a meal under the covered porch while looking at views of Emerald Island or the State Park.

A second great room is located on the lower level with a stone gas fireplace, a large flat panel high DEF TV, a game table and incredible views from just about every room.

There are two bedrooms with queen beds on the lower level with a shared full bath. Both bedrooms have sliding patio doors to an outdoor patio with seating to enjoy your morning coffee.

All of this is just steps away from a covered dock with floater, storage shed and docking for 2 boats

We’ve stayed at multiple other homes at SML and this is by far our favorite. House was centrally located on lake. Very clean and well furnished. Huge dock with easy sloping lot. Very quiet cove. Sunset views every night. Mark was easy to work with. Hope to be back again!

Cozy lake getaway at Smith Mountain Lake

We completely enjoyed our time at this rental. We've been coming to Smith Mountain Lake every summer for several years, so we have a pretty well-honed checklist of what we're looking for now: open but cozy living area, big kitchen for group cooking, deck with both sunshine and cover, a dock that's easy to use for boating and swimming, and a firepit for evening cookouts. This house has all that and more. We were impressed with not just one but two comfortable living areas, one on the first floor and one in the basement, that made for fun gatherings the whole week. The kitchen's large counterspace, refrigerator, and pantry made every meal go smoothly. The deck space was perfect for morning coffee or sunset sitting. Lastly - and this is something that can't be overstated - it is a smooth incline down to the dock, compared to lots of lake properties that have extreme slopes and dicey stairs. We loved this property and would love to rent it again if available!

Great Vacation!

This was our first time at this house everything was fantastic! The house is clean, has a great layout, and fantastic views of the lake. Terrific property , very modern clean and with beautiful views of lake.

This is the third time we have stayed in this property and I would not stay anywhere else. It has everything you could want. The large open living dining area with lots of glass is a wonderful space with high airy ceilings. The gentle paved walking path to boat house is perfect for very young children or seniors. The secluded spot is a decent distance from neighbors which provides for an idea spot to fish kayak or just play in the water.

Week at the Lake

We stayed for a week at the Mark’s lake house and it exceeded all expectations. The house has a great layout. It has all of the amenities you would want and is well stocked. Great sunset views, and a wonderful Cove that you can swim in without worry of watercraft being close. The dock is awesome and has enough depth to dive off of. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and were able to tie it up easily on the floating dock. Overall, great week, awesome location on the lake. That’s convenient to everything.

Beautiful, Quiet Lakefront Getaway

This property is immaculate, with modern, high-end appliances and furnishings. The living spaces and outdoor spaces are very roomy and comfortable. The level lot is a big plus. The cove is small and quiet, and set well back from the main channel so you don't get much boat traffic. The cove to the right adjoins the State Park so there are no houses over on that side. You definitely feel safe paddling around here.

Great get-away

This property is more beautiful than the pictures. It is in a great little cove with good water and access to the main lake quickly. The views are spectacular! The house is immaculately clean and the owners have thought of everything. We had a great time boating, fishing, eating on the covered porch and sitting on the deck and enjoying the view!
