Moon River Cottage:

This Beautiful Riverfront home located on the Siuslaw river is the perfect couples getaway or for that small family of four. Offering a master suite, second bedroom and bathroom along with a well equipped kitchen, cozy living room with a warm fireplace and big screen TV. Enjoy stunning views through the huge picture windows, lounge in the enclosed patio to read your favorite book or just sit back and relax. Enjoy the gas grill on the rear deck grilling your favorite meal and soaking up the beautiful scenery with your favorite bottle of wine.

Please, no pets due to severe allergies.





What’s nearby:


Moon River Cottage is only one mile from the famed old town of Florence. Downtown Bay Street includes wonderful shopping and fantastic dining options. Another mile south on Hwy 101 you can ride the famed Oregon Dunes, or drive north a few more miles and go horseback riding on the beach. World famous Sea Lion caves are also just north of Florence along with the beautiful Heceta Head Lighthouse. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The 
coastal forests flourishing in Douglas Fir and Sitka Spruce extend to the Ocean.

 Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to 
experience the unique natural wonders of this area.

This was our best rental of our trip! Everything was wonderful! The views were beautiful, we enjoyed watching the boats going back and forth. The large windows looking out over the backyard and river were perfect. They have a nice deck and even chairs down by the water, with the warm weather we we made use of that area, too. Inside the house was so clean and we had everything we needed, the owners/management thought of everything. We would love to come back and stay longer next time.Thank you for everything!!

Moon River Cottage feels like home

This was my second time staying at this location. Each visit feels like home. I recommend this rental to anyone! However, we were never able to use the fireplace during either visit. This was disappointing. One final tip, the view is so wonderful but this time the shrubs needed to be trimmed so our view was limited. Those are easy fixes for the next person renting this wonderful home. Thank you so much!!

Moon River Fun

My adult son and I very much enjoyed staying at Moon River in Florence. For us the size and layout of the house was perfect. The garden and backyard river frontage were particularly nice. A well equipped kitchen, nice laundry capability, and a very clean house were positives. A funky location of the microwave might be the only negative. My son now wants me to buy a house in Florence.....

Calm and cozy

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights . The house is great , cozy , lots of windows with great views. Kitchen well equipped ,even had a tea kettle and salad spinner . Also hot water in the showers, this can sometimes be hard to get . Easy bike ride to downtown . Overall a great place .

Property was exceptional, and as described in the listing. A few things we noticed were (and I might be nit-picking) the master bedroom mattress was starting to sag from use, and the shower/tub in the 2nd bathroom could use something that would make it anti slip. All in all a great property/location, and will definitely reserve it again.

If you want to relax and recharge Moon Cottage is a perfect destination. The view from the main room is magical. The pictures do not do it justice . The cottage is small, clean and tastefully decorated. It’s close to many good restaurants and fun things to do. Usually, when I visit Florence, I am out enjoying the ocean beaches, lakes and dunes. With this trip I spent more time just relaxing and reading because the cottage and view were so charming.

This older home has been beautifully updated. Very clean and cozy! Amazing view of river and dunes. Tucked in the trees this home feels secluded but is only about one mile from HWY 101.

This amazing home on the river is a nature lover's paradise! From the birds, to the seals, to the river's own beauty- it's not to be missed! The home is very comfortable and well set up. Everything you need is provided! We cannot wait to return!

Hidden gem

Wonderful cottage on the river. It had everything we needed with a great view. In other places we have stayed, there was a notebook describing how to operate things like the tv that was very helpful. We definitely would stay here again!

My husband and I plus another couple had a wonderful stay! Moon River Cottage was perfect for 2 couples. We loved the peaceful river view, the well equipped kitchen and the proximity to town and recreation opportunities. The cottage was spotless and we appreciated enough parking space for our kayak trailer. We would happily return here.
